  1. ok DNL thats EXTREMELY COOL. Brilliant work and you will do VERY well in this contest
  2. Thx all for the comments! Yes i can see what you mean. Personally i like this technike of building so i guess i will stick too it, sorry! Interesting! I'm looking forward to your creation! Thank you for all the compliments TheBrickster! I'd say it took me about 18 hours to build this moc. 2 sessions of 9 hours non-stop building haha, sick i know. I never really mind taking my mocs apart. I get tired of looking at it quite quick and then when i got a new idea for a moc i cant wait to take it apart. Thx again all!
  3. Thx for all the compliments people, its really appreciated! About the tip of adding more bush (higher bush). On this moment this is all the vegetation i have, haha. I thought about adding a tree or 2 but i liked the look of the moc without it. I liked the open feel the moc has right now so i decided to keep it. Also around an outpost like this its not probable to have any more vegetation, the knights will probably cut everything down to prevent ambushes. In this moc i guess the knights have became a little sloppy of keeping the grass short around the outpost while their superior was away .... The tower is +_ 35cm tall, the whole moc measures from bottem to the top of the tower 45 cm high. again thx all for taking the time to look at my moc and comment on it.
  4. Hi there! I also posted this on classic castle so some of you might already commented on this. Here is my latest MOC: "A Royal Knights Outpost" I wanted to practise my landscaping skills so i ordered some 'landscaping-bricks' from bricklink and started building. Its my 'first' real landscape i made (well i made some before but they were always small and never a main focus point in my mocs), my first snot river, and my first 'odd shaped' tower...(its a pentagon shaped tower) So, to be short: it was fun to build this moc. "On the border of the Royal Knights Kingdom is a small outpost build on an open grassy area close to the woods of the forestmen. In this scene we see a captain returning from a trip to the kings castle. He is welcomed back by his subordinates.....but some forestmen are hiding and planning an assassination! Can you spot all 3 forestmen?" Enough talk , here is the folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=320047 I know i'm not that active around here lately, but i hope the 'euro-brickers' around here want to take a look and comment on this too! I'm interested in your opinions too.
  5. :-) Thx for the compliments people, its very appreciated.
  6. @simonwillems: Thank you for your kind words! :-) @DJ Force: Thanks for the reply. But like i stated before this MOC isnt meant to be an "Exo Force" MOC. So you are right about the colors scheme and the robots together with the humans etc....but it wasnt my aim to make an Exo Force MOC. This MOC is more in the line of gundam or autobots or something like that. ;-)
  7. Soo after CCCV i wanted to do something other than castle. So i made this MOC. I know a lot of people are against the Exo-force stuff, but i quite like this mech and i always wanted to build a kind of dock for it....so here it is. This MOC is not really in the Exo-force setting btw, and its not space either. Its just normal people on our planet working on a giant mech, haha. Still i thought this MOC would fit best in this forum. Anyway please take a look and tell me what you think: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=297817 I'm personally quite fond of this modified Exo-force mech btw: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2952043
  8. :-D About the windows: i used 2 of these http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=4151b pressed ontop of eachother, and blended them into the wall. Gives nice windows i think. Thanks again for al replies guys. *sweet*
  9. I am planning on making a hermit using the hagrid hair piece. But i'm not sure how this hagrid hair piece fits on a minifig (since i dont have the hagrid hair piece, yet)...so does anyhave a picture for me of a normal minifig wearing the hagrid hair, so i can see how it looks? thanks. *y*
  10. yes yes its unbelievable isn't it? I wondered about it myself too :-D, but they are forestmen afterall and are one with the forest and their sruroundings.... *wacko*
  11. Hmm, i missed this MOC of yours.. glad you posted it here. It really looks nice. With lots of SNOT techniques, and original architectures *y* I also like the windows. Good job!
  12. thanks all. :-) @Mister Phes: I've been building at this MOC 3 times, so i guess you can say 3 days :-P @Starwars4J: The MOC is kind of a headstock house (is this the right word??)...so nothing fancy there X-D @Capn Kirk 911: Well a couple of months ago i didn't have any books. I almost everytime select a couple of them when i order something from bricklink....they aren't very expensive so i always put a couple in my cart and the total price isnt rising that much...and now i own quite a bit of books. :-)
  13. So after taking a small lego break, after the CCCIV, i started to build again. This MOC isn't finished and still needs some work, but i'm not sure if i will finish it... *wacko* :-D Here you can see the outside wall, i'm quite content with it actually: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0312.jpg Here you can see some forest men trying to break the bars of the jail....trying to free their mate...: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0311.jpg This is the one sitting in jail.....you can see the forest men are a bit late rescueing their partner, but better late then never :-D: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0313.jpg This is the jail corridor/dungeon. Will the forest men be ontime with the rescue?? http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0318.jpg A corridor on the next floor: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0321.jpg Another part of the corridor: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0322.jpg And the maidens room: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0323.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0324.jpg Here a closer look on the window... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0325.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0326.jpg And finally a seperate foto of the bed i made :-) it's the first bed i ever made i think it turned out ok: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/Cas...ME/imag0328.jpg The gallery when public: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=235213 So here it is my latest work. What do you think?
  14. So, one final post in this old and dead topic :-) I just recieved my white 1x1 modulex bricks. My pepper and salt set is complete X-D....i'm happy and will use these in my future MOCs *y* Here's a quick moc i made to show the modulex salt and pepper set: *sweet*
  15. Hello, I already replied on the other forum. But still, i will here too. I like the vignete, though i think it is my least favorite so far. I'm missing a small crown (something i really expected to see when reading you made a 'queen moc')...right now it also could be a mage for me.... And maybe a throne, some guards or people bowing for the queen would help.... Still nice work, and i am looking forward to your future vignetes! *y*
  16. last night i was laying in my bed, thinking about lego... (as always :-$ :-D) and i also thought about your hight problem.... *sweet* Maybe you could dumb the whole lady and replace it by a rich gentle man. A rich well dressed man, with a high hat. The man could sit....problem solved. I really LOVE the lady, she looks really cool, so you HAVE to use her in an other set...maybe in the train station set? I'm guessing you dont want to lose the lady...but it is an idea to solve your hight problem. :-)
  17. very cool exo-attack! That sleeping back is something i haven't seen anywere before, very nice idea very original and you build it quite nicely. *y* Maybe you can use a original lego set box background picture, whipe out the original set and put yours into it. (i think BM is doing something like that) I think you have the skills to do this as you already cut out your photo and stuff... BTW on a side note. Everytime i read 'WW' for one second WORD WAR pops into my mind. Everytime! haha and it goes like this in my head: "WW....World War....did lego make word war sets?? X-O Cool! Tanks, soldiers, turrets cool cool cool!!!.....o no it means Wild West ofcourse...darn it :'-( " Everytime the same thoughts...i just can't help it :-D
  18. i havent commented on all your vignetes, but i have checked them all out. I admire you are able to add so many details to such a small moc, time after time... I like this one. The large brick looks cool on those wheels...also i think its cool to see another 'outside' vignete again. Good work!
  19. :-D Anyway BrickMiner i think this coach looks very nice! I indeed blends really good with the original LEGO WW sets. I also like the color scheme, the red is a welcome change in WW for me. Good choice. I would def. buy this one! Also i love how you photoshoped it too look like an original set. I really gives your moc a professional feel to it.....maybe i will try to do something similar in the future too with my own mocs...look nice! *y* EDIT: PS about the hight thingy. Maybe you could add changable legs for the woman to the set. So, the slope brick as a dress and also normal legs, so the lady can actually sit in the coach. Maybe a strange idea but that way you could lower the roof of the coach. Also i dont think the minifigs have to be able to stand in the coach....sitting is just ok....with adding the extra legs for the lady the bending (sitting) problem with 'slope birck lady' are solved...
  20. Nice work athos. I have been following your vignetes for some time now, and although small they are well detailed. nice job! *y*
  21. @Sir Dillon: That is a good idea indeed. Still, it only works with 1x4 modulex bricks. I only got 1x1 & 1x2....But i also saw you can put them perfectly in 'lego made box' (hope you understand what i mean :-/)... Somebody got some more 'modulex intergrate' ideas? @Starwars4J: haha cool! And why is it unfortunate? :-) And what kind of bricks will you buy? EDIT: Also the grill thing works only for pieces without studs...
  22. I just found this MOC on brickshelf. I think it has some very original (and good) details. I really like this MOC. *wub* here's the whole gallary: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=230468 What do you think?
  23. Beer is liquid bread :-P Cool video, although this isn't my favourite.
  24. Yes i have the same thing. I just had to have at least one of those pieces. :-| They are absolutely not compatible with normal LEGO. I tried all kinds of things to integrate modulex into lego, but i havent found anything that really works good, yet. I guess it really is a collectors item.....and a pepper and salt set X-D :-D...I have to agree @Sir Dillon: thx ;-)
  25. Just to say everything worked out ok. MrTS is now a happy and proud owner of some Modulex bricks :-P Nice. Now i'm planning on buying some white 1x1 modulex bricks from someone in England, and then i have my precious pepper&salt set. *sweet* And the pepper&salt set bricks have 'lego' written on top of the studs, which is something i think was very important. Yes, i'm happy again! PS sorry for the oversized pictures. 8-
