  1. Has anyone ever thought of this piece for the wheel hubs?
  2. Well, for me, it happens to the snowplow. But I guess that's natural, since the snowplow is heavy.
  3. I believe that's Syrena's head from the POTC Whitecap Bay set. Anyways, the Yoda/Anakin one is hilarious. It actually makes sense, I mean look what happened to him (inside the helmet)
  4. I don't own the Mog yet, but I've been thinking... Wouldn't it be possible to put an old RC motor on one side (move over M motor or replace battery box with the 8x4x4 ones that come with Train sets) and connect it to the central diff via a worm gear? I heard that the RC motor is a fast one, so the speed should be decent. Anyone willing to try? Oh, and that's a gorgeous mod you've got there, Efferman!
  5. I think so. The joint part of the CV joint would be able to fit inside the big hole. It would certainly lessen the joint distance from the wheel itself, but the turning radius would be greater. I don't have any of these pieces, I'm just speculating. If only I knew how far can CV joints bend in degrees... Oh, and the female joint in the hub won't be reinforced, but that's not a problem.
  6. Wow, this is a really amazing MOC! I love all the superb detail even if I can't make out what it's meant to be. This is one of the best Model Team creations I've ever seen. The color and the way the sides are smooth makes it look smaller than it really is imho. The picture with the box threw me off.
  7. Now I understand. But there's one thing that's not clear: does the compressor act the same way as the pneu pump? If so, then doesn't this here babe need an air tank? Forgive me for sounding noobish, but I am a noob who has been playing with Technich for ten years. I just haven't owned any big sets. This WILL be my first.
  8. Yess!!! Well, that's another mystery solved. I guess while building, you will have to slip the axle in from the outside. How does the motor power the gray pneu cylinder? Is that the compressor?
  9. U-joints and/or CV joints. On the steering/suspension cutaway pic, there is a circular piece hiding in the back. What is it? Is it new? What is its purpose?
  10. Aren't they talking about the Mog like it can roll, powered by pneumatics? If they are, then so am I, above.
  11. Are you guys sure that it is driven as in move the Mog backwards and forwards? That is a little pointless since the steering is not motorized and it is not remotely controlled. Personally I think that it shouldn't be driven, since the crane, compressor, winch, and clearance adjust (?) are enough functions already. Leave the RC to us.
  12. Oh my goodness!!! It's brilliant! I can tell how it all works, but the one at the right of the pic (is it the rear brake?) confuses me a bit. I probably need to examine it. Do you mind if people "steal" this? Of course we'll say it's yours!
  13. Sheepo, sir, could you show us how the brake system works? I'm very curious since I never would have thought it possible with Technic.
  14. What are the new pieces in this model??? So far, I only see the tires. Scavenger hunt, anyone?
  15. I can't wait to get this. Let's hope there are a lot of new pieces in this. There hasn't been a lot of new pieces in Technic recently. Whenever my mom hears the words "Mercedes", "orange", and "big", she thinks of "mechanical monster who takes at least $200 from each victim" .
  16. Am I the only one who likes Fangz? Witch Doctor looks amazing, an awesome successor to the Fire Lord. Didn't he have the Hydraxon/Von mask in the early pictures? Raw Jaw looks epic, but I don't really like Waspix or Scorpio. Rocka XL is just another Toa Mata Nui/Fire Lord.
  17. I estimate the US pricing to be $200 - 250. That's way too expensive for me. But since it has PF, pneumatics, 2048 pieces, and is licensed by Mercedes Benz, it seems reasonable. It is way beyond my budget. But that wont stop me from getting one or two .
  18. 1115 pieces??? It really doesn't look like it, it really doesn't.
  19. From the box image, it is obvious that this here babe has portal axles. Just take a closer look at the rear wheel. Now all we need is some hi-res pictures and more shots (underside please!!!), and then we'll be happy. Edit: Oh wait, we won't be happy until each one of us has a copy!
  20. Whoa, already? Where and how did you get them? Can you put up reviews and pictures?
  21. Does anyone have any idea how to do this on Mac OS X? I would greatly appreciate it.
  22. Is it just me, or do I see Monty Python's King Arthur, Sir Launcelot and Sir Robin in the minifig showcase?
  23. The Fisherman's Bastion in Budapest, Hungary (Mainly because of my nationality)
  24. I'm the 1st Mac to reply to this thread! Woot! I use Mac because I've been hooked on to it ever since I came to the US. Unfortunately I do think Macs are better (get mauled by an army of PC users) because of the graphic capability and the design. Although I've been hearing many problems with LDD on PC, they never happened to me.
