Technic 1h 2013

It could be hidden, like previous 1:8 scale F1 sets. If not, there is always modding. By the way, am I the only one who has not seen pictures for any of 2013 sets? -

No suspension... This is not new. But a letdown? Think about it: according to Cweqto, it includes one of the rarest tyres LEGO has produced. Yes, the ones you need to build Nathanael Kuipers's Supercar. -
Wheels are too small, huh? Try 10wide! Amazing bus! Love the 'Barbie' edition!

All of these are great, but the real question is the size. Is there any good way for it to be too short for regular sized minifigs, but perfect for hobbit-size figs?

Yes, please!

Has anyone noticed the shout-out to Technic MOCer Paul Boratko (Crowkillers) in the license plate of 9395 Pick-Up Tow Truck? License plate reads PB 9187, PB being Paul's initials. This is because in the 8081 Extreme Cruiser, Paul complained about the Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Toggle Joints being Light Bluish Grey http://www.bricklink.com/PL/44.gif?0(above the windshield), which broke the color scheme. He wanted the return of the joints in black (which are very rare). In 9395, LEGO granted his wish.

Then can you explain the sparkling rims? No, seriously, social media is really gonna help you. The Hayabusa reached 10000 in only 11 weeks as opposed to the Shinkai's 60 weeks because they promoted on Fb, Twitter, etc. We need to send this to Auto websites, maybe that would help... 106th Support out.

First news of The Hobbit sets maybe? "Dawn take you all and be stone to you!"
-
The "wizard" that Gandalf is fighting is actually Thrain, who has gone mad in the dungeons of the Necromancer, according to the trailer analysis at theonering.net . The Hobbit sets should bring a Bag End. That is the only Hobbit set that I'm looking forward to, having no idea what they are. Funny...

Why can't I view minifig decal designs anymore?
Shasat Spacerider replied to tab's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
It may be because brickshelf.com is down today. Don't worry, they will be back. I understand the frustration. Half the MOCs on this website I can't view... -
Wait, Peter Jackson also had a cameo as a Hobbit? I did not know that. I don't think LEGO will release minifigs of PJ's cameos since they had screen times of less than a second, except for the Corsair, who got shot by Leggy's arrow.
-
[lotrnerd] And they also need to release Peter Jacson as Rohan Spearman and Peter Jackson as Corsair who gets shot by Leggy's arrow.[lotrnerd]

Oh definetly! I hope LEGO or TT games is trolling this thread because your idea needs to come true.

Effe's MOC Corner
Shasat Spacerider replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think it's brilliant! It's simple and to the point, but a graphic somewhere would liven it up better. (i.e. a hook or something) Keep on being awesome, Effeh! -
1h 2012 models
Shasat Spacerider replied to JunkstyleGio's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think the motorization was a last minute idea. They were probably thinking: "Hey, why not motorize this truck so that the people buy the PF set too!" "Hey, that's a good idea! But wait a minute, this truck is soo crowded that we have no idea where to put the M motor!" "Aw, just stick it on its rear and be done with it." It's probably not what really happened, but I can't help but wonder: do the gods at Billund sometimes just BS things because they are lazy? I have nothing against them, (otherwise I wouln't be calling them 'gods'), but this motor placement thing just makes me sad. -

Alright, I won't bother you about the Flatbed Truck... Although I was thinking of bothering you about your wonderful 8110 mod . Will you also make instructions for it? I am really curious about what you did in there. Also, your idea for a big scale 8109 got me wondering about a 8285, 8258, 8052, and 8071 on Unimog scale. I would go for it, but my collection is tiny. LDD, anyone? Back on topic, I eagerly await your instructions, Effe. -

Oh Well, nothing is perfect. Although you bring "flawed" sets to perfection, this one seems limited since 9395 is sooo packed. I would like to see the insides of this beast to understand what you did. I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "please nail me not at the wall with the big 8109". Are you saying that you dread making the big 8109? It was your idea! -

Sir Effe, you have officially become my favorite MOCer. This new tow truck is amazing. I thought you were only going to motorize it, but no, you revamped the whole thing! The only thing that bothers me is the location of the IR receiver, but I guess you couldn't fit that anywhere else. Clever use of the new mini turntable. And about the large scale 8109, do it, do it! Are you going to do 8110 scale or 8258 scale? Because I think that the 8110 scale would be a bit too big, but I guess it wouldn't hurt. Plus, wouldn't it be on a similar scale as this gorgeous Pick-up Truck of yours? Build on, Effe, my idol!
