LOL, the only problem is they'll fight the Town Guards. They win- they get all this loot or XP, if not, they lose and the quest fails. Though I haven't seen any of this happen, so I don't know why I brought it up.

That's probably the greatest idea. If heroes get experiance for doing heroic, kind deeds, then they could lose some for doing something evil.

This is something I wonder about- can PC's just attack people in battle for XP? It wouldn't seem fair to get easy XP like that. But on the other hand I've heard it suggested that you make town guards or the villagers you pillage be insanely high level. But then of course, if the party loses, they fail the quest. I'm just curious about this. Though maybe if they choose to attack the villagers, you could just say "You kill the villager," without initiating a battle.
