  1. I like it. I adore the idea of having the back connect to the truck! It's so... CREATIVE! Loving your work! Capt.JohnPaul
  2. I'm currently "Viewing the Portal"??? 8O(

  3. Maybe that was in the wrong forum too. Because the Buy,Sell, and Trades forum also has a "finds" at the end. So since they found it maybe it should go there? Or maybe I am entirely wrong.
  4. I'm sorry, I don't know where to get one cheaply. As for the wrong forum thing, I'm not sure, maybe in the buy sell and trade forum. I'm sorry, I don't know where to get one cheaply. As for the wrong forum thing, I'm not sure, maybe in the buy sell and trade forum.
  5. Ohhhh, THAT'S a fox hole! Man, I should have used a dictionary.
  6. It looks nice, the white camo ghillie suit things are ok. Joey said I should ask him about any thing like this as it has to do with ww2 right? So what's a fox hole?
  7. I posted a small preview in this forum, Joey Lock told me to fix the lcvp, which I did and now I made another one. My preview is basicaly just me and Joey Lock arguing about if Sun Tzu is right or wrong. Sun Tzu is obviously right!
  8. Thanks Mack! I may have to wait until Christmas to get them as I am going on a trip and am buying lots of things for my d-day diorama. Capt.JonPaul
  9. I agree that stories must have a conflict and you have to have violence to have a resolution, but do we need 6 year olds playing games like this. I also prefer the action oriented themes, but must we have 1rst graders playing games where you shoot and kill people for know reason as in Grand Theft Auto. If your a teen I understand but 6 years old?!
  10. ........ Amazing idea! I love the mouse trap....and seeing redwater in pain!
  11. Thank you! The red coat ship kingofthezempk and I made (hms thunderer) is the pirate one. It's a redcoat privateer!
  12. Ok, would the treads be from the droid tank thing they used to attack kashyyyk? They have one out now, do they come with 2 treads or just 1?
  13. Ya sorry, I thought helms were only on ships in the 18th century and the age of sail. Like my other post where i added in the rollcage, what else would I call it, "the little box thingy"?
  14. Wow, that's amazing! Where do you get treads like that?
  15. Yes, I agree, I don't get the point of those M rated games where you kill for no reason. Trust me, (real thing happened) it's scary meeting a six year old who plays call of duty! And don't forget I also met a little five year old at a hotel and he says he watches pg 13 movies and has all these action film tatoos on him!!!!!
  16. That ship is amazing! Did you say the stern isn't a hull/one piece? It looks great! I would go with two masks. Have you done string rigging before? Anyways nice! What is that other BIG yellow ship in the background? I haven't seen it before. Maybe because I haven't joined EB a long time ago!
  17. I don't have the King's Mountain Fortress, but it looks pretty good. I haven't heard of the Paridisa series, what is it?
  18. Hello Victor, your not bad at English, just put a "n" after the "a". Good to see you. If you are and old fan of LEGO, on here we call it AFOL (adult fan of lego) or TFOL. (Teen Fan of Lego) Capt.JohnPaul
  19. Yes, the US general in Vietnam thought battles were fought directely and won directely, but Sun Tzu says, use a direct attack to ENGAGE, and an inderect attack to WIN.
  20. Well, we underestimated the north Vietnamese, they listened to Sun Tzu and look what happened, they won. Anyways, here are the pics of the lcvp? I made it longer wider and taller and better! Oh, I only put the rollcage in there because on sudden strike 3, I saw people in little boxes (the cockpit)
  21. What about Vietnam? USA had half a million troops but we got decimated. Maybe the russians that beat the panzers won because the Germans were afraid, according to Sun Tzu, everyone must be motivated to win and must have the will of the people. And all the greatest battles in history were won with the mind, not the brute force. I agree with you that even with 1 man, you couldn't win. But think about Thermopoly, 300 spartans up against half a million persians? They may have lost, but they held them back for about a week. Think about riot police today, just them up against a Giant MOB! And think about Sun Tzu's time, when his kingdom was being attacked by 300,000 enemies, but he won with only 30 thousand men. The more men vs less men can go either way. Oh, I fixed my landing craft and will take pictures right now!
  22. I agree they knew we were coming, but according to the history channel, we tricked them that it was coming to attack different beach, not omaha. As for the numbers, as Sun Tzu says, numbers confer no advantage. I do agree with the will thing, they were on a beach, they had to fight or die. A key principle in Sun Tzu's teachings.
  23. Well, the only reason sun tzu helped us win was because of deception, momentum, spies, and fighting together with no escape, helped us win. And the german generals had interference with the leaders (hitler), which in The Art of War, is bad. And I will buy things. Thanks Joey for your offer to help me with information, what should my landing craft look like more, can I still keep my roll cage on there? I like my cage!
  24. Yes, I am a history addict too Joey, mainly the revolutionary war and ancient roman times, but not so much ww2. I have read the Art of War by Sun Tzu (not the origanal) and then realized how we won at Omahaw. I just got into WWII. The "uncliffy defenses" are just a filler until I get some parts. I would love to make the landing craft better but I'll need to find more gray, black, and dark gray pieces. I am planning on getting some toy story army men sets just so I can get more troops. I would like to make some tanks and make a moc of them fighting in the hedges after normandy, but I don't have treads to make panzers. Oh well... Thanks Joey! Capt.JohnPaul
  25. For some reason I have never been into WWII and thought it was boring except for the Battle of Midway. But recently I've picked up the PC game Sudden Strike 3and then something clicked in me and told me I should build a Normandy moc. So I have been working on this and have decided to show you a WIP. And when you're reading this, think of someone saying this to you with a voice of one of those guys on the history channel... The German defenses at Omaha. If you're wondering what that big dot is in the middle, that's my Japan table. I like flags... my room is full of flags hanging from the ceiling and has bedspreads of the Puerto Rico flag and a giant map! Dynamite mines: Pointy thingy and fence: Another pointy thing and that 1x2 tile has a picture of tnt on it... Some barbed wire: A mounted spinning smg and below that a turret. Sorry for the bad quality of this picture, but a tank size turret coming from a window. But then the Allies come with an amphibious landing craft and American personel carrier: The landing craft: It has an opening door and cockpit. Now the personel carrier: It has a turret, (don't know my WWII guns, a AA gun?) and a bigger anti aircraft gun: It is also complete with towers and computer command stations... The front is pointyish and on it is an allied rifleman. I will probably put the people on the big boat on the german side until I get more people, and right now for the sake of filling up the boats. How do you like the wip so far? I will be putting this an actual water because I found some images off google image search of lego ww2 people in real water and they looked cool. Thanks for looking!
