But how do you get to that universe? And then, why couldn't you go back? Nevermind.

I have heard of the rotating cylinder, and string theory. Artificial intelligenc? Oh, sorry, that's not AI, it is Albert Einstein. This is interesting, but now that we kind of said everything and explained it all, we shouldn't spam this topic up anymore. EDIT: Wait! I think your string theory is wrong. I thought string theory was about cosmic strings. What you're thinking of is some part of Quantum Physics. (I forget the name.)

Well, yeah. It's called ambassadors to Dastan, I don't think it would contain that much fighting.

Heroica RPG - Quest #31: Lions and Lambs
Capt.JohnPaul replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Alexandre steps aside, and watches anxiously. He tries again, "Arthur, remember, me? Alexandre. Remember flooding the elves? Remember we forgot to place the boiling oil until the final battle? Remember your ingenious catapult and slice-n-dice? Remember... remember, me?" -
I'm not talking about the physics, I'm at home talking about this stuff. It's the EPIC roleplaying that's causing me to be hyper, I wish you could actually read the quest, it is so epic.

First, let's start with gravity. Time and space are intertwined, and the same according to Albert Einstein. And also according to Al, gravity and mass distorts space. So depending on how close to a gravitational field you are, time changes. Now for light-speed, light is the fastest thing, correct? So to go forward in time, you have to go faster. For an example, Earth will be represented as E, and someother place a long distance away is Z. E---------Z Suppose each dash is a light year. It takes 18 LY to get to Z and back to Earth. If you could go faster, you get to Z and back before light did, so you went faster than a year. The longer distance you travel, and the faster you go, the more years you skip. Well, that's the theory or something like that.

That pleading won't work. I saw him logged on a few minutes ago. He's forcing us to roleplay, he's obviously as intrigued as we are.

Heroica RPG - Quest #31: Lions and Lambs
Capt.JohnPaul replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I agree, hurry." Alexandre dashes down the tower, and runs to Arthur, and holds his head up in his hand, he stares into Arthur's eyes, "Friend, can you hear me?" EDIT: The above applies if Arthur is still there. For all I know, he could've ran off, which also seems likely. -
Light-speed certainly does that, but gravity also warps space, which warps time as well. OMG, my blood pressure just spiked again.

"What??" Alexandre is stunned by Knyghton's words, "I did agree he was endangering the mission, but 'menace?' I refuse to stand with those words." "Oh... no... no, no." Alexandre steps back from the wall, and takes off his helmet to rest. He looks ill. -
Flipz! Stop your epic RP! You're going to put me in the hospital because this drama is literally increasing my heart rate. Years are years, but time is relative. A twenty year old human has been on earth as long as a twenty year old elf, but they age completely different. I saw a program on television of how a guy in space went back in time or something. Since he was out of earth's atmosphere, (and gravitational pull) he aged slower. So when he came back to earth, he was different. Suppose he was born on the date 1-1-1960, 1:03 PM, and another person was born EXACTLY the same time. Both were born the same, experienced the same amount of years, but one's age is different.

"No, unleashing him would be for the better, but we can't risk him getting hurt, we haven't really seen much of his combat abilities in this strange state." -
Such as, Alexandre le Chevalier, 20 year old male elf, (40 elf years) I meant for Alexandre to be a human twenty year old, but in elf years, (if they live twice as long) he is 40. I just saw your EDIT, and I understand. It just might be helpful to those who are confused if you are an elder, or actually a mid-age person.

"What do you mean, 'means an' end?' On another thought, we shouldn't send Arthur to track Russel, who knows what might happen to him, or what he will do?" -
That was less than 24 hours ago? Oh, right. That totally makes sense. Different species have different ages. But I was just proposing that elf players write actual years next to their alter-ego elf maturity.

"You're right, you're right," Alexandre ponders, "Maybe we should contact an asylum or psychiatric center? Luke should look at him tonight. I'll be in there too, we could get him to say something. You two could stay hidden or something, to hear for yourself." -

"You can interrupt . It's your conversation too, you're most in danger, and if he attacks, I won't hold back either. I'll be reluctant to do it, but I will. I'll do all I can to protect the party." -
The situation IS different, and is 100% related to what is going on currently.

*Deep breath, whistle* Man, Quest 31 is getting spiced up! I can feel the anxiousness of the teams in the other Dastan quests.

Alexandre stops and rests, and lowers his head into his palms. "I don't know what to do anymore. I'll have to talk to him in his barracks tonight." In a whisper to no one around him,"Arthur, I hope you can hear me. Where are you?" Alexandre drops to his knees, and looks up into the sky. -

Capt.JohnPaul replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I... I don't have a way to connect to Him. I wish to become a Paladin though. Arthur doesn't mean this hatred, I know it, there's still some of him left deep in there, I know it. May he be forgiven, for he knows not what he does.... I think we should be ready for anything, but we can't make it obvious. Let me ask you, along with Isabella, and everyone one else near Arthur: Do you feel safe? You're talking murder, if I'm not mistaken(even though 'we' would/if we would) defended ourselves. I need to know how much you're willing to go before I can answer any more." -

Mess with our heads? Are yo suggesting that the demon is not physical, but a mental enemy? Awesome. How about we discuss via PM? Oh, right. "There is no perspective on innocence, there is right, and there is wrong, and those two are decided by the Almighty. He probably thinks we are conspiring to kill him back at the fort there. ( ) Just take it easy on him, maybe I could talk to him, and you and Isabella too, in private. All of us at once might scare him. But I'm not sure if I like the idea of leaving you alone with him." -

A way to make it balanced... I got it, you must be controlling the demon, and it requires ether to control, and if you're hurt, the demon is hurt, if your KO'd, the demon is KO'd. Now that would be fun to do sometime. -

Ooohh... do that! This will be a heroic battle between Knight in shining Armor and... the Demon! This is the moment I've been waiting for, I just better get XP and proper fame.
