  1. that backpack looks more like cloth to me. or a butchered one of these in tan. in the picture it doesn't appear to be attached via the neck post like regular backpacks. I think it's fair to assume the minifig will have a backpack but new, modified or existing is anyone's guess.
  2. Not sure I agree, the crowbar shown in the preliminary pics is red. I'd only use it with adventurers if it was grey or black. I have a couple of black Brickforge crowbars that'll do the job of cracking open a sarcophagus. The new dog will definitely work better in a desert setting. The new pointy muzzle defitely looks more jackal like. Hope Lego do it in black and grey too. Some undead Jackals would be cool. Or have I watched the Resident evil movies too much....?
  3. I just noticed on the Ninjago game (non-minifig one) that there are three gold daggers with handles plugged into gold 1x1 cones. I'm not into board game type sets but they do bring up the odd nifty pieces. And gold minifig daggers is very nifty.
  4. Thank you so much Sajer. I don't know how much trouble you'll be in for doing that but thank you.
  5. NOOOOOOOOO! I missed them too. someone will repost them right? please..... Edit: Found a link to the whole catalalogue on a different thread.
  6. voted. It's certainly the most creative entry. And a lovely minifig. So hope that hair piece turns up in a collectible minifig series or POTC set. It's awesome.
  7. Table. Definitely table. If I put anything on the floor I tend to step on it. Although right now I've only got a desk in the attic I hope to move house soon and have a proper room I can set up a proper layout. Home-made tables with lips round the edges and storage below.
  8. Ah, I see. I'm the opposite and don't want the single figures.
  9. Being honest, there are lots of falcon and jackal headed gods. The Egyptian gods changed appearance, sex and merged with each so often these minifigs could represent any number. It's probably easier to think that Lego simply picked a couple of cool looking ones and went with that. I would like to see more mummy gods with Baboon, Crocodile, Ibis, Ram, Frog and Set creature[**] heads. Just because more Egyptian god minifigs would make my city museum layout look more showy. [**Looks like a cross between a Giraffe and an Aardvark.]
  10. the large skeletons including the four armed one have regular hands, yes. So skeletons in sets 2504, 2505, 2519, 2258, 2259, and 2260 have regular hands and the skeletons in sets 2114, 2115, 2116 and 2267 have the useless sideways hands. you can split it this way, the skeletons sold as singles with cards have sideways hands and the skeletons in the bigger, boxed sets have regular hands. if you choose to ignore the game aspect and just buy the main theme sets all your skeletons will be normal.
  11. Only some of the skeletons have sideways hands. 2114 - chopov, 2115 - krazi, 2116 - bonezai, 2267 - un-named. The rest in the main sets have normal hands. The skeletons in 2519 appear to be tan. could just be the lighting but it would be nice to have tan skeletons.
  12. The female minifig and the archeologist looking character only appear in one set each. The pilot and the character who looks like Mike from the jungle subtheme of Adventurers appear in two sets each. While the hero character appears in three sets. Though as the torso prints appear to be quite dull I suspect lots of them will be available on Bricklink and Ebay.
  13. I'm not a fan of the Atlantis theme. Mostly because it doesn't fit my own image of Atlantis and seems more like a Jules Verne story in Lego, but I do love those new ribbed column bricks. so many uses for those. I'm looking forward to seeing the golden figure in the temple set. damn shame the confidential watermark covered it up.
  14. The Anubis statues could benefit from using the long Toy Story arms and legs. I think they'd look better as taller figures. A little more threatening.
  15. I'm all over this theme. Absolutely love it. The Horus headdress is fantastic and I'm salivating over the Anubis head piece and scarab shields. the wings, new mummy prints just awesome. Johnny Thunder's desert adventure it definitely isn't but awesome it definitely is.
  16. I really hope the boombox turns out nice and funky. I'm only interested in Angler, Mummy, Rapper and pilot. Admittedly that's going on preliminary pictures but this assortment doesn't tickle my fancy like series two of which I've got eleven. Though series one didn't tickle my fancy much either. I was only interested in five from that assortment. Still from Lego's point of view I suppose that constitutes quite high interest overall.
  17. I'm expecting to be wowed by some aspects and disappointed by others. I love the Adventurers Desert adventure sets so looking forward to any parts that will improve or extend that. Looking at series three of collectible minifigs mummy and updated Harry Cane gives me hope that this new theme will look ok.
  18. the police station design makes more sense than the last two plus it looks like a beefier building. I'm pleasantly surprised. And in combining it with the last police station set it'll make for a mighty fortress of law. I quite like the extended prisoner transport truck too. In a way it's disappointing that there's little real difference but also it's kind of cool that this new batch of sets builds on previous sets. It's interesting that Lego chose to update the dog. Am I right in thinking only the shark has been redesigned out of all the other animals?
  19. The police sets sound less and less appealing. The Egyptian theme sounds great. more stuff for Johnny Thunder to explore and sell to the city museum.
  20. I really hope they change the colour on the cabriolet to green or blue or anything other than red and yellow. Dark red would even be better. City cars are all starting to look the same. even if the design is different the lack of colour variety just looks weird. black, grey, light pearl gold, nougat, anything but red and yellow please Lego.
  21. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply to this thread, I've a lot of personal 'stuff' going on and not had as much time to spend on forums as I would have liked. Thanks for the welcomes and when I have stuff to share I will post updates. For now though all my bricks are in my attic behind a tonne of mess. It's killing me that I can't access them and don't have the room to build stuff even if If I wanted to. I keep buying sets and parts and the boxes keep piling up but it's a fruitless exercise really. I'm hoping to be able to build some stuff over winter. Probably Brickenhead town based. We shall see what happens.
  22. that's odd I just googled it and found the meaning pretty much straight away. annyhoo, cool build and I have to say at first I wasn't liking the colours until I figured out where in the world it represented. Now I understand the colour choice.
  23. Hahaha! Front must be banging his head on the desk right now. This is a non-story really. Storm in a teacup. Lego still have their brand logo exclusively and that makes every product instantly recognisable and is more or less the seal of quality. The image of a brick is pretty useless with so many clones and bootlegs. The loss of exclusive usage rights is nothing to cry over.
  24. From the brief descriptions at least nine have piqued my interest. About the same as with series two. No doubt I'll resort to E(vil)bay and Bricklink to get the ones I want. Or rather, the parts from them. New hair, hats and accessories attract me more than the whole minifigs.
  25. I don't mind the police sets. though my better half says I have more police officers in my city than citizens. be interesting to see what changes have been made. And I'm intrigued about the new police officer. with a violet cravat it sounds a little odd. female officer perhaps? Space has never really been my thing but maybe some of the pieces might fit in a science lab MOC. my police force could do with a forensics lab. 2011 still seems so far off...
