  1. Is there a reason Matthias didn't take his second turn, and didn't target Chesterine? "Mind? Why would I mind?" The gnome plays just a little dumb, and laughs mirthlessly at his own joke.   2. Matthias giggles uncertainly under his breath. The giggle becomes a full-throated, hearty laugh of battle... and then he clams up when he sees Chesterine. Gritting his teeth, the druid pulls out his Extraordinaire in one hand and his Stave in the other. > Matthias: Heal (Stave) v. first injured party member; if none, Extraordinaire v. Chesterine @Waterbrick Down note that Matthias used his Hero's Cocktail before this battle, so he should have the resulting effects.
  3. Matthias reaches the door... and wakes up to the demon. He socks powder into his cannons and looses his Stave.
  4. Matthias begins to freak out a little... and heads again for the door.
  5. Matthias waves off Ziegfried. "Not that kind of confusion, I think," the gnome remarks. He orders a cider from the bar instead and sits down on his cannon to think.
  6. Matthias finds he is confused by the actions of the other heroes — haven't they just saved Eubric? Why is everyone else preparing for battle?
  7. Matthias finds himself facedown on a table in the Hall, remembering losing his lunch upside down in a dragon barrel roll - bit of a miracle that it came 'up' just a the point where 'up' was 'down' - and the sweet feeling of Chesterine near him. Then the Hall, the tunnel, and ...now the Hall? Again? Matthias can't believe some 'heroes'. Seized with a desire to visit the village, Matthias heads for the door.
  8. The gnome smirks darkly at the demonic hero. "There is no time to be more ready. If we are Heroes, we are Heroes." "Not immortal, not un-killable. Just not getting any older, Master Throlar," Matthias laughs cynically.
  9. "YEAH!" a tiny voice shouts, possibly too loud for the moment.
  10. Matthias ignores the bigger man's remark as best he can, looking game but a little green as they load up on Torc. "How about some fireworks?" "Something like that?" he coughs through his airsickness and the smoke. Once aground, the gnome downs his Hero's Cocktail and prepares to head for the Hall, and the Temple.

Matthias likewise finds himself unable to keep up with the swirl of conversations, reunions, diplomacy, and planning going on around him, though despite himself he does enjoy hearing a few other heroes heckle Whisperer. The gnome finds himself reaching up to hold Chesterine's hand. "Fancy another dragon ride?" He regrets his words immediately.

If someone is *Hastened*, can they move to another area and attack immediately (how would they pick a target)? Or can they attack here, then move to another area?
  17. @Waterbrick Down So, if we all stay on the ship this turn, how will the enemies move? It doesn't appear that you've listed the cannons on the walls as current enemies; can/will they fire at us on the Magpie? @Zepher Might be better to have Torc + Hoke + Skrall take out the cannons on the towers first?   18. Chesterine continues to pour forth Wind spells to propel the boat, and Matthias continues to swing his stave around looking for anyone to heal.

  20. Matthias nods uncertainly. Riding a dragon? Does he not remember what happened last time? Regardless, he heads back near Chesterine, who casts a wind spell to move the ship.   21. Elves, and boats, Matthias thinks to himself. As if that dragon ride wasn't bad enough. The gnome gives Chesterine a weak smile as he tries to find a spot with a good field of fire.
  22. Rushing to catch up with the party, the druid turns deep crimson. "Hi, Ch...Chesterine," Matthias manages. He tries to hide his embarrassment by trying again to eat his Big Apple, drink a Nostrum and two tonics. It doesn't work, so he huffs some smelling salts as well. Sorry all, moved into a new house on Monday (after living out of our van for two months) and I'm still attempting to dig my computer out of the sea of boxes!
  23. Matthias pipes up, glad to finally have some direction in the mess. "So it sounds like we have two options, or maybe we do both: some of us go under Eubric, to see if we can't take out the demonic power source, and the rest of us find a boat - doesn't Master Guts have one? Has anyone seen him lately?" Then the faerie veteran's uncertain words rebound into the druid's consciousness. "What do you mean, precisely, that Rosier knows where 'they' are? Has Rosier found the Faerie again? Do you mean the archdemon has somehow found ...you? ...Veteran Euflear?" The gnome struggles to figure out the right form of address for the Fey One.
