Kintobor's Cosplay Mafia Day Three: In The (Ball) Pits
StickFig replied to Kintobor's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
You called out two people as scum after their bandwagon day 1 votes, even as you explicitly mention in your post that you think scum would be quieter than that. Then you continue to call them scummy, and provide little evidence (while filling the forum with long, quote-heavy un-snipped posts and fluff). That said, the last 24 hours have been pretty enlightening here; you're no longer on my list. Oh, wow, someone can do math. How many scum do we think there are in a game of 14? Probably 3, perhaps 4? The odds are good that you are right! Would you mind telling us which one (or more) it was? Is that how we get ants, Barry? Yes it is, other Barry, yes it is. This also seemed really fishy to me. I voted for her for precisely for that bandwagony day one vote, and I think the fact that she waited to join the day lynch until the end might be her reaction to my accusation. Yup. Doesn't mean you aren't scum. Wow. OK, so... on the one hand, yes, let's lynch mostlytechnic because, well, scum. On the other hand, someone claimed to know the outcome of very interesting night actions to me in a pm today, and that doesn't make me any more likely to trust them. Why should we trust someone just because there's a PM? On the third hand, implying you have a power role to keep from getting lynched is, well, a scum trick. On the fourth hand, you didn't ever really imply that; Finn asked and you demurred — which is still weird, especially if you were just going to come out and say Vanilla Town today. On the fifth hand, if there is a town block, they won't ever trust me — rightly so — but if they were going to have someone be an expendable, anonymous mouthpiece, that person would necessarily need to be Vanilla Town. Vote: Mad-Eye Moody (mostlytechnic) Note that when I said "you" on the fourth hand, I meant Forresto... which I thought was obvious until I realized I'd included it under a reply to mostlytechnic. -

Oooh, a ball pit! No night kill... I can understand a vigilante taking a night off, but no scum kill? Did we decide we thought jluck's death was a vigilante kill? Or a scum kill? Regardless, good job blocker (assuming there is one). If there isn't one, I find it very hard to believe the scum team simply walked away from an opportunity. @LegoMonorailFan and @Khscarymovie4, you're at the top of my list today. I especially like Ellie Sattler's "surprise" about Finn being town. -
Wait, what? Like any vanilla townie, my win condition is simple: Town wins, I win. I just happen to investigate as scum. I'm not worried about dying, I just want town to win. ----- Third vote on the Ellie push yesterday. Vote: Chell (fhomess) @KotZ, you voted for Forresto yesterday without a reason, and today ...without a reason. @Forresto, you start getting votes and the best thing you can think of doing is claim it's a bandwagon. Why should we believe you're not scum?

Kintobor's Cosplay Mafia Day One: Super Mafia Bros
StickFig replied to Kintobor's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, I suppose I was premature in sharing my parting suspicions. Honestly I expected to be a vig kill; you make a great point though, and I can't see any way that sharing that strategy helps scum, but it is certainly helpful for other townies to be thinking along those lines. Thanks! -

So, I'm gonna throw this out there because I know people don't trust the miller claim and I might die tonight. I am wondering if mostlytechnic's post here is a cover for jluck. I voted for jluck, and soon after mostlytechnic comes out to try and swing the bandwagon my way. May be nothing, but it's a thought. Maybe we've found a pair of scum? Maybe I'm reading too much into things, but this is mafia. -

Thanks, Foreman. I would vote right back for you, but I don't think you've ever seen one, so I'm just chalking it up to inexperience. Vote: Legolas Twinleaf (jluck) @jluck, your vote for LegoMonorailFan seemed to come at the perfect point for a scum: early enough (and follow-able enough) to start a bandwagon on an active Day 1 player. I may be giving you too much credit since you were the second vote, so perhaps I will change to @fhomess (the third vote). And hey, @LegoMonorailFan has been active enough to draw suspicion. Yes, I realize I've just called out three people who defended my miller claim. Plenty of time for scum to trip up. -

I am town, but I show up as scum when investigated. -

Well, I just checked my PMs and I've never been a Miller before, so no. Unless you mean that whatever game you played in last, someone claimed Miller on day 1, which would not be odd, as I believe it is the recommended way for a Miller to play (which is why I said it straight out, as soon as I saw the thread). -

Alright, alright, hands off my pizza. And to get things started off right before voting: I'm a Miller. -

Thus ends the Saga of Matthias, Heavy Metal Druid and Gnome Immortal. Yes, to everyone: thank you. To @Waterbrick Down: thank you. To @Sandy: thank you. Since Matthias joined Heroica (November 17, 2013), I've moved across the Pacific ocean (twice), visited three new countries (and Hawaii), seen the birth of my first child, bought three cars and sold three others, started a Master's degree.... Since we started the final quest (January 2, 2018), I've seen the birth of my second child, completed my Master's degree, moved (with the whole family) 1,300 miles across the United States (including a month-long road trip), bought our first home, bought another car, and begun teaching for a living. Matthias has been on quests by @Waterbrick Down, @Zepher, @Kintobor, and @KotZ, plus crossovers, events, and Fields of Glory runs with @CMP, @Sandy, @JimBee, and @Flipz. He has quested with uncounted Heroes (most bigger than him), and I have enjoyed it very much. Heroica has been a special place the last few years — half a decade for me, and longer for many of you. I cherish the memories. Thank you all.

The gnome can only blush as the Ziegfried matriarch marches off. "Uh, hi, Lady Chesterine. ... ... Could I buy you an ice cream?" -

Will you be able to participate for the next four to six weeks? Sure! 3. You're heading off to the local convention! Which character from pop culture do you dress up as? Rowena Ravenclaw 4. Hehehehehehehehe That's why Matthias buggered out... he just couldn't take the bickering any more.

Matthias catches the assassin's glance, but continues to sit quietly behind a mug of cider. Throughout the conversations around him, Matthias simply listens... but when Hoke mentions leaving, the gnome finds it's the best idea he's heard. Too many politicians, he decides, and he slips out the door, heading vaguely towards Ziegfried Manor. -
Congratulations!

Matthias laughs. "Fey One, do you fear death at this point? As Master Throlar said, revenge is pointless." "Never. The memory of it must persist. The memory of it will live on in a thousand storied tales and a thousand bitter drinks as Eubric, Heroica, the Fey Plane, and many others remember the evil that threatened and the ones that died as a result. Forgetfulness is death to us, not to Roosier. As Master Atramor pointed out, this demon belongs in Azazot, and it makes no difference here whether she is memorialized on a Decamon card or physically smashed into a thousand pieces. We who are human will remember this, and she will die. Do not be blind to this reality." The gnome's voice is deep, with comforting notes sounding over a hard edge. -

Matthias nods and repeats his healing, attacking ways. The gnome grudgingly calls out to the black knight, "That's actually a pretty good one, Master Lind." Wait, you think the loot in this battle matters? -

Only too happy to see the roots and phantoms decay, Matthias loads for another round. > Matthias: Nurture (Stave) v. first (by battle order) injured party member; if none, Fireball v. Remedying Root C > Matthias: Nurture (Stave) v. first (by battle order) injured party member; if none, Fireball v. Reinvigorating Root C -

@Waterbrick Down If Matthias rolled Roots of Life, the Stave should have produced a Kudzu (been waiting for that to happen for 3 quests!) so that all opponents are *Bound* and take 66 damage - although I suppose many of them are immune to AoE.
