Thanks for the comments! I've added one for the 12V fans now! :) Still not happy with the Cargo train though I will try and play around :) Its photoshop I use :) Murdoch117 - I'm not really doing requests at the moment as I'm just trying to get back into the swing of drawing :) But that is a nice locomotive all the same! 3DLEGO - Thanks for all that advice, I've looked into Illustrator before but could not really get on with it, maybe its time to give it another shot :) Again, thanks for all the commments guys, will keep doing them! Emerald Night next I think!

Woo, thanks guys! Means a lot! Leg Godt Gud, I use photoshop for this, though I do find it quite tricky as I'm a very freehand drawer and this style likes lots of lines! I'm sure there are better programmes out there! The metroliner is actually based off one I saw years ago but the style just stuck in my head :) And it seems to have worked well! Unfortunately I don't have prints nor have any idea of how to access such facilities. >< I've added one for 7939, though I'm really not happy with the background. Maybe its the colours, but after spending a few hours on the background alone I went with this one! Thanks again guys! Catty

I'm in the process of finally putting the LDD mail train that I entered into a competition a while back into bricks. But because I'm waiting on bricklink orders I got a little bored and started looking at old art deco posters! My first thought was to do one with my mail train, then it occured to me that the Metroliner just lends itself to such a look, so out of the boredom comes these two! I quite like them and its helping me relearn some photoshop skills so I will probably do more! ^^ Any crits, comments and free gifts are welcome! Catty

With the sequel due out soon I decided to have a go at my first miniland (ish) scale moc of one of my favourite computer game characters. I'm most likely going to moc it up in real bricks but thought I ought to grab some feedback first! I'm going to have a little play with the arms as they may be a smidge too long, though I'm not sure how to replicate that pose otherwise Anywho, American McGees Alice! - Catty

Emerald Night Coach interiors... What should each class be?
Catanas replied to Carefree_Dude's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Maybe you could add one of these on the end as I do feel the carriages have a slight pullman air about them. I'd actually like to see a lego version on the end of a long EN train :D Few more interior and exterior shots here http://www.swanagerailway.co.uk/news450.htm -

Some excellent entries, and all are very creative! My points go to Bojan Pavsic - Circus Arena (ID: 146) - 2 Points This caught my eye as soon as it was posted, a delightful, colourful piece of work. Sunnyx - Battlecruiser from Starcraft II (ID: 149) - 1 Point I've always had a soft spot for Starcraft and this is an excellent creation. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Catanas replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Is it just me, or does the mime not have the arm printing in those pics. The rest look pretty nice though, I really like the skiers features! -
Although I'm not the biggest fan of American trains, I must admit, the Santa Fe is a nice model. THough I did miss it during my off period with lego. My favourite though has to be the Metroliner purely for the memories of wanting such a great set as a child and when I actually got it recently, I was in no way dissapointed. Its such a nice kit with great lines and a fab colour scheme. Close second has to be the Emerald Night, mainly because its just such a beautiful looking train and provides a moderately challenging build!

I thought I'd give this a go even though I havn't posted much! My second attempt on LDD and am fairly pleased with the result. I'd always been a little interested in the travelling post office so I decided to revolve the idea around a mail train in a similar style to a regular lego set. The first car is empty in case a power functions battery and IR wants to be installed. The first middle car has a few desks, and mail holders for the sorters. The second middle car has sliding doors that allow a 4x3 crate to be slid in filled with mail and sorted by a grumpy postal worker. The rear car has a small compartment for packages and the like. It also comes with a platform, small postal van complete with an assortment of crates, parcels and letters and a few postal workers to compliment them! Theres a few places on the model I'd like to put some of the official mail stickers, but thats not possible with LDD, so just imagine. There are 1682 pieces. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Catanas/Mailtrain/Mailtrain/lego_mail_express.lxf

I actually picked 5 up from my local Argos and got 2 Archers, 2 Ninjas and an Indian...pfft But the barcodes DID match the ones on the list, so maybe its changing and I got some from an early batch?

'The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister!' I do love the question ^^ Nifty little decal, though he does have a waistcoat underneath the jacket.

How do you mean a little off? Always good to get a bit of constructive critisism. I tried a few different versions and couldn't quite seem to get it right but this was the best of them . Would be good to have a fresh perspective! Am still a little unsure of that forearm. Anywho, thanks for the comments people, will get working on it as soon as I can, just stuck with the pen atm. Am looking at Hit Girl and Big Daddy, however since its been a while for me and lego theres lots of parts I havnt seen before to get through and judge, hehe.

The Penguin's Batman Minifigures. )
Catanas replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Ahh apologies, I missed that one! Shouldn't he be under heroes though? ^^ Even if he is a kooky one. How about these, again sorry if they've been done and I missed them! Hugo Strange H.A.R.D.A.C (TAS - Heart of steel) Could make a nice MOC ^^ Android Batman (Or other Androids from HARDAC) And maybe Etrigan the Demon Just a few ideas, and like I said, apologies if I missed them! -

Some really nice work here. Are you planning on doing The Creeper? He was one of my favourites from TAS despite only having one episode >< -
MOC: SL7 Steamlined Steam Locomotive
Catanas replied to Made in China(he16767)'s topic in LEGO Train Tech
This is a really really nice model! I saw an exhibition about Streamliners in the UK a week or two ago and I have to say, although they do look impressive and quite beautiful, they do seem lack a certain charm that comes with traditional steam. That said, your build is fantastic and its great the way you've incorporated the motor and lights into it. ^^ I'm also impressed with the time you took to solve the little problems (Or big depending on how you look at it!) related to the turning of the locomotive. -
Hey there, I'm just trying to get together some minifig parts and decal making stuff at the moment for my first project but I thought I'd show you the ideas! I really enjoyed Kick A** and the other day just though, hey they'd look quite cool and colourful in lego, and from the design they'd just simply need a bit of recoloring and decals. ^^ I might change Kick megablocks to a more traditional green so as to keep the customization to a minimum. But anywho, heres Red Mist and Kick A**. I'm also having a go at a mistmobile in LDD... harder than I first thought though >< Hehe, I just noticed in the preview that A** becomes megablocks >> Like it.

Hey there! I joined Eurobricks recently after lurking around reading topics for while! I hail from the South of the UK and am a student who has almost completed a course so will be venturing out into the big wide world soon! Because I don't really have much of an idea of what I want to do I decided to dabble in some old hobbies and picked up modelmaking again and for some reason that led to lego with the Emerald Night drawing me back. (I've always had a soft spot for trains ^^ ) The forums and MoCs have been very inspiring and have got the old noggin working hard thinking up ideas! Anywho, I'll probably lurk around the city/train forums as thats what I connect with the most, being a child born of the eighties, the 90's town sets were my thing! I have though, thought about dabbling in these minifigure customization shennanigans, so maybe you'll see me there! Anywho, thats me! Maybe see you around! :)
