Here's a little anecdote: McDonald's used to give out Throwbots in happy meals glued together. My friend threw them away. Why? Because they were useless. The same applies to normal LEGO. Many functions will not work as well. If something breaks, you have to get the glue off to replace it. My friend ripped a fingernail off because he glued a part to a large baseplate and forgot. I would never glue them unless I had enough to make a LEGO-Scale statue.

Wow, this is hard because I don't remember exactly. All I have are 3 Pirates sets. I got a tiny Pirates set when I was really young, but I don't remember any of it. I'm pretty sure that it had a treasure chest because I have a few, but the only evidence is a pirate minifigure (missing the hat). I don't really count that, so my second on was the 10210 Imperial Flagship. As soon as I saw it in stores, I knew that i had to have it. Most huge sets are fun to build but are useless later. Then only other really big one there which I wanted was the Titanium Command Rig, but it nowhere near compared to the Flagship. I just had to have it. I brought it home and built it in two days. It cost most of my birthday money but was worth it. I was a bit dissapointed in a few things, but playing with it is fun if you discount fixing a little thing every 30 minutes. Now I have taken it apart again to build a merchant vessel, but it hasn't worked out so well because I couldn't make a good angled hull. Instead I use the parts for the small City which I am working on (sadly though, about 38% of my LEGO sets are BIONICLE, which means that I can't build much of a city. In fact, only 5 sets are City. Those are all tiny.)

I have seen so many cool LEGO Decals that people made, and I have always wanted to make some. My city is very small, and is a mix of many things, but I'd like to be able to make interesting labels for my police and fire stations, bank, and squad cars. Any tips on making stickers?

Wow! I found a seller on Bricklink who lives about 15 minutes away from me. I can get a 20 dollars off discount, and I got 20 dollars off buying 5 dollars for my brother, and 20 dollars off from my mom (B-Day present) and so I payed 65 dollars for the Aero Tube Hangar, Mike's Dinohunter, A Knights' Kingdom II Set (With Sir John and a bad guy, a sword and two towers), the small Aquasharks set, and something else.

Last big Power Miners set Petition/editorial
BobaFett2 replied to Forresto's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I disagree. Power Miners is a decent theme, but there is a slew of other themes. LEGO doesn't send out themes with a bang most of the time. A few examples: BIONICLE went off with a sad little fizz Pirates dissapeared for a while after a few tiny sets were released Alpha Team went off with two sets and a catchy thing, but neither was particularly good. The larger one also wasn't very functional Bang: Adventurers went off with a bang, but the story could have easily continued to somewhere, say Australia or Antarctica Star Wars: A whole slew of special sets -
How about we make some "sets" and see how they compare?

Buy a set simply to sell it for profit?
BobaFett2 replied to Danpb's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Very tricky situation. I would suggest either: Buy another and sell it for the cheapest price after it becomes discontinued (but still higher than retail) Buy the set and use it, it's got great parts and if you really need money sell the instructions and box Buy it, and like fine wine (or so they say, I think alcohol is disgusting) it's value will mature over time until it doesn't matter how high you price it it will be worth about 50 dollars more. -
That would be too large to be conventional unless you have a realistic scale city, and you wouldn't be able to use it on your vehicles
-
I think that a good name would be something LEGO related, such as Speed-E-Brikk

I'm still working on my town. I have only one or two things, as I am not yet an adult and am working on getting certain special parts and windows (otherwise the buildings will look like a bunch of blocks)

LEGO Prince of Persia Contest Entries - Category 3
BobaFett2 replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
About 114 Parts, well below maximum (not counting minifigures). The images should be the correct size (I resized them). The market stall is being attacked by bandits! Dastan chases a Hassansin accros the rooftop. The stall is on fire! This is my market stall, and it has a large amount of minifigures. There are tipped over crates and barrels, bandits stealing the goods, traders eating on the roof oblivious to the fire, a noble making his quick escape, and Dastan Chasing a Hassansin across the roof. For more pictures, visit my Brickipedia Blog -
Wow! I really like it! I don't have many City sets, but if I did it would be one HQ for Fire, Police, Coast Guard, and Hospital, 5 Cars, and a few modular buildings (I'm not an adult yet so I have to spend my small fortune on it and can't expect to earn more money)

I think the old one's better. It fits better into the minifigure's hand (the shape of the square hilt makes it look a bit odd)
-
Reason for change: To fit the sword on dastan's new part. Otherwise, I prefer the old kind.

Ideas for new Adventurers Sets
BobaFett2 replied to Tom Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I love adventurers. I just buy them off Bricklink now. Hmm, new themes that would be good; Arctic-based journey A mystical native american idol hunt (they've already done south american, egyptian, and asian) -
Set Review 6195 Neptune Discovery Lab
BobaFett2 replied to BobaFett2's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
OH, they can only be resized on paint, not with code? That's dumb... I can't change those they were uploaded from my computer to brickipedia and linked with a web url. Maybe I'll have time later but they took forever -

Woah! I love them! By any chance are you selling them online? Also, I was wondering if you use colored sculpey or you paint them. -

I know but I don't know how. I use html code but it's not working here. If you could please tell me how to resize them. -

I love it! I want so badly to collect those Futuron sets, but they are quite expensive on Bricklink now. -
I didn't say Vader, I said Nihilus and SIon.
