  1. Has anyone noticed that Jek's torso does not have any weight to it? Or is it possibly preliminary? That would be so much fun to have. As we get closer to 2012 I am actually the most excited for that ARC trooper, I am curious as to what his pauldron and kama actually look like outside of Lego released pictures. It is good to see they have improved from that horrid plastic mold armor that looks nothing like it was supposed to.
  2. I can tell you first hand kids are losing their minds over the sandtroopers and Commander Colt figures. I think with the newer generation, they like seeing things like detail. When we were kids, we were thankful to get a new pirate torso like Redbeard. When I got the x wing in 1999, I was 12 but it completely blew my mind. My guess is to a 12 year old today this is the same effect. Evolution of the product. Clones do look sweet though. I think the cartoon element really helps. The Mustafar set looks like the real winner this winter if the price tag is not in the stratosphere. I think the ship looks so well designed in the pictures.
  3. You are so right. TLG has ridden the perfect line in the past, and has only gotten better, but since TCW (Which I love I must admit) it looks like figs are going overboard. In a way it almost takes away from the imagination aspect for me which was my favorite aspect of the toy looking back. If I want action figures, I'll buy 'em
  4. It could be the perfect fig for the MOC or display! I have to try and see the light side in it. I must admit, I do wish ST came with leg printing like in Imperial Inspection. Along with clones as well. That would be really neat. Instead we're stuck with Horn Company and Bomb Squad troopers that really stick out! I must apologize, I am very particular about my figs.
  5. They are neat, but with an already established army they will stick out. I think I am just being ridiculous about these figs. Kudos to Lego for such incredible detailing, even if I'm being a grumpy 23 year old .
  6. Something about 3PO just does not seem right. Maybe I'm just too old school but the more pictures I see the more turned off towards buying these sets I become
  7. I totally hear what you are saying. I love the flesh tone, and I would like all of my figs to have that aspect. However, I couldn't give up the classic yellow that made Lego so iconic. I guess it makes me a hypocrite of sorts KDM: I am glad to see I am not the only one either!
  8. I hate to say it, but I like the zombie Geonosian the most. I just can't get into the other figs right now. Something feels missing with this year's figs. The sets look good but something about the ARC trooper and sandtroopers bug me. That said, I will still probably have at least 10 of each
  9. Everything looks pretty good, but like a few others have said there is just too much detail on the stormtroopers. I also am not too sure if I am a fan of the re designed ST torso also. We all have these massive squads of ST's and now there are different ones to add to the mix Jek has a normal torso too it looks like. I wish Lego got creative and made him look like he is pushing 250 like Porkins really was. Great detail on the helmet though. Also, does anyone think we'll begin to get any S4 CW troopers any time soon? That would be great to expand on ep 3 clones. I am starting to think my favorite set is going to be the Eta. I guess overall we can't complain but TLG is changing a lot of torso's and details and I am not sure if I am excited or concerned for the minifig future with some characters Still waiting for a sweet printed version of S4 Rex take note, Lego! I do not think I am the only one
  10. There are about four of five on that list that would give me a heart attack if it was ever announced. Starting with Mygeeto and the Marines oh boy Bly and Wat Tambor would be awesome too.
  11. In the MOC thread above on the forum page there may be some modifications but I do not recall seeing any... The only ones I had seen that had successful modifications were rebuilt Venators. It certainly is a tough mod to complete. You may be better off doing some serious re building on that section .
  12. Just wanted to share a custom I really really like. I guess it could be Captain Rex from the Clone Wars, but I did not have all of the detail added to the helmet like the figure seemed like he would. I thought about doing the outside lines around the eyes but I did not like how it looked with the rounded off eyelets on the helmet. I would like to add some re-breather lines and other details to the helmet. C&C welcome! Thanks to Minifigmaker for amazing pauldrons and waistcapes! Shadow Captain Rex by DanSZ151, on Flickr I wanted to try and add some details to the back of the helmet like "battle damage" in the blue but I am not sure how much I like it. 13. Same with me. I was about 10 years old in 98 and remember having a dream where I had SW lego, so I made a white x wing and my own version of Luke but couldn't find a helmet for it. I still remember seeing something about Lego getting the SW license and my mother taking my to Pip Squeak and Wilfred to pre order this set. To this day, I do not have a more played with, weathered, destroyed in action and rebuilt set. Truly nostalgia. One of my best memories however is holding the fighter by the nose in the basement and it broke, causing the body to explode on the floor. I put that sucker all back together on memory. Probably my favorite toy ever
  14. I had the following reaction: Shock, taking the details in, and soaking in what is the one of the best SW MOCs I have ever seen. This is incredible. All of the detail... The scenes, attention to the specifics. Amazing!! I am not sure words could fully justify this MOC. Amazing work. I must say my favorite part is the skeleton though that is an awesome touch. Wonderful work!
  15. Awesome job on the Redux! I too remember having this set. It was by far one of the best smaller sets I ever owned. I got so much play out of this one and one other Aquasharks set myself (name/number of set escape me). I can totally relate. Thanks for sharing this awesome MOC!
  16. These sets just seem like they are getting better and better. The ARC Trooper in the clone battle pack looks incredible, the detail in the figure just blows me away. Endor battle pack looks great too, easy way to build an army for Rebel Commandos. Out of all of these sets, it almost seems like the prize is the new X-wing set. Porkins looks like an awesome figure. Then again, all of these seem like must buys for me! First time feeling for that one, I am just in awe of all of the great new OT designs. It seems like TLG is really taking this SW line on a whole other path, just when it seemed like it would be tough to innovate they just keep doing it over and over. Awesome!! Going to be a sad day for all of our wallets when these hit store shelves
  17. I love this set. My jaw was on the floor when I saw the pics this morning on FBTB. Lego has hit a complete grand slam with this one. And I don't even really like new castle. Huge grand slam. Just in awe. If they bring back Black Falcons however, I just may lose my mind and buy everything in sight
  18. Good MOC, great use of the Anakin head for Luke. Fits the scene perfectly.
  19. Thanks for the great review!! I must say I love this set, but the $50 price tag is just too much for me to handle on my Lego budget. This is in my opinion the best Naboo starfighter and it is one of the best ships I think Lego has released to date. Thanks for sharing!
  20. Decals purchased from Fine Clonier. I wanted a figure like this since I was a little kid, and I hope TLG decides to make one in the near future. Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker by DanSZ151, on Flickr The fig does not have the speckles in person. I think it is the lighting and flash from the camera reflecting off of the spray enamel seal. Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker by DanSZ151, on Flickr C & C welcome, I hope you enjoy!!!
  21. I have to say that I am most excited for the Endor Battle Pack. This is an excellent line, so much better than last winter. Looks like Lego is really starting to add tons of detail to these figs. I hate seeing these pictures I can't wait until their release now...
  22. WOW! That ARC fighter is incredible. That design on it looks perfect, accurate, and just all around amazing! Don't be surprised if TLG gives you a call asking to use that design for a new mini . Great work!!
  23. This is great! I love this line. It has so many smaller sets to help build an army up and have different types of artillery and equipment. I miss these days from lego, along with classic space sets such as Syrius and Ice Planet. Thanks for the overview on the Crusaders! Great website.
  24. Thanks for the review. I have to be honest, I am not a fan of this set. The figs are great, but there is nothing to it that makes it feel like SW if you took away the figs. I do understand it's a playset and probably great for little ones, but it just doesn't do it for me I must say however, the red protocol droid is awesome! New hood on Han is great too. I think a snowspeeder would have helped not only justify the price but the set as well.
  25. The design on that snake is genius! I have never seen anything like it. Great work on the entire MOC.
