  1. Does anyone know the release dates on these sets? I'm more interested in the Special Edition sets of Battle of Geonosis and MW SF and I can't really find any information on those sets online... I know it's supposed to be January but I don't believe it truthfully especially when it comes to those.
  2. I'd hate the be the one to bump this again but I just got this one on sale today at target for $19 and it was worth the price (on sale for a while at target and wal mart for $19 USD). The fig is always cool to have and the brown astro is an awesome addition to a theme that is dominated by R2D2... Excellent review, really does it justice and truthfully think it is a great quick buy even if it is for the parts. Too many stickers though but the ejection feature is one of the most underrated parts of the set. The fig goes pretty darn far when you trigger that thing. Must buy IMHO for SW fans, great addition to any star fleet. Thanks for the review, I would have passed this one up if I hadn't read it today.
  3. This is truly awesome, excellent detail and cool MOC. Alot to look at and a bunch of fun.
  4. That's awesome, I never knew that but it sounds painfully complicated to pull that off
  5. Great MOC, really love the detail. I think it is excellent and really captures the time period
  6. Actually I am curious how you store them. I have mine in a large container but they are always breaking (obviously) and I was looking for a more efficient way to store them. Amazing collection though, it looks like tons of fun. I am very jealous!
  7. They really are awesome... Great MOC, I love it. I was hoping to find some adventurer ones and this is certainly awesome!
  8. I loved this years line, it really pulled me back into SW lego, especially with the Clone Wars. My favorite was 2010.
  9. Maybe it is some type of copyright? Not sure. Funny I posted earlier saying I don't know. Then I went out and bought it. The set overall is pretty awesome. I think it is priced a little higher because the overall size of the plane and tower are pretty large for the pieces used. Even though it is a little more expensive, it is one I don't regret paying a little extra for. Jacket is weird though, maybe somewhere in the line it will explain it. Maybe some fighter squadron he was in in WWI or whatever they want to call it.
  10. Definitely. I love the older sets. If I didn't like them I would make some custom changes to it myself. The new sets are awesome IMHO but you really are correct - the technic factor of it is really frustrating. I loved the simplicity of some sets and the tons of pieces it took to do one thing the technic ones did. I love Star Wars and when I came out of my dark ages I was somewhat surprised to see the major changes. All in all though, I wish they would do more EU things at this point, maybe out a focus on Force Unleashed for a bit instead of remaking sets like the Sith Infiltrator. For that one set, two are enough and another one seems like overkill. I do like the CW line though, I think it is alot of fun and yields tons of potential. I am currently 50-50 of the flesh heads though. I love them one day hate them the next and same goes for the CW figure heads. Overall I guess I wish TLG and Star Wars will take a new turn, especially since I heard the license was renewed for 2011. EU would be alot of fun for kids and AFOL's alike. Although I say these things, I am very excited for the new line
  11. Totally agree. I think the plane is an awesome set and a pretty neat addition to this line. All of the sets have excellent playability in mind which in the end matters most for its end consumer. I am tempted to get this set today but TRU's markup makes me not want to get it :( Awesome review though, the bomber jacket is pretty sweet.
  12. I just got this set yesterday and although it isn't much it is pretty awesome. It has great essentials for an mummy army and offers some nice weapons with the rifle swords and dynamite. Great review, the set really is awesome and a good starter for the line. Best fig though has to be Jake Raines, love the ammo around his chest. This will definitely be a fun theme, I hope it continues and they expand it even more!
  13. I think season two was pretty good, but I am hoping season 3 goes back to a little more Grievous and the war itself, not as much with bounty hunters. Does anyone know what this Darth Maul secrets thing is? I saw the trailer but I don't know if it is just a small promotional thing or if Savage or whatever his name is will become another Sith on the show. I think that would be pretty awesome and make for some epic battles.
  14. I love all of these sets but I went to my local TRU today and they didn't have them yet. I was pretty disappointed because when I go home for Thanksgiving I am not sure I want to go out on Black Friday. For some reason, I think this is the best line Lego has come out with for a long time. It has a nice mix of nostalgia of old and style of new. I have to get these soon!
  15. Love the cars, the red one is the Shelby Cobra? Awesome MOC.
  16. Death Watch... At least I think so.
  17. Battle of Geonosis, mostly for the Rex fig and the cannon. I love the battle packs too with the ARF trooper and mandalorians. I like the other ones too but they are too expensive (BHG)... And since I have an Obi-Wan fig from CW I would much rather build the T-6 than buy it. I don't see why it is so expensive yet.
  18. I became a huge Star Wars fan when I was younger. I remember building my own x-wing in white and grey and wishing there were a line for SW. I was a huge lego fan all together but once SW came out I was hooked and didn't really get anything other than those. I still remember going to pick up my pre-ordered x wing the day it came out, I was so happy. I actually just came out of my dark ages about 8 months ago and the Clone Wars re-ignited my passion for LSW and I have gone on a spree or two in the last ten days getting some cool sets.
  19. There was a small sale today at Target so I decided to pick this one up, and I have to say it should be on everyone's list at the right price. Even if you don't like GG or the ship itself, there are tons of excellent pieces that could easily be used in any kind of Trade Federation or fighter ship MOC you can think of. I was actually quite surprised with the ship and how cool it was when I bought it. Definitely a top choice for any collector or anyone in need of some interesting pieces (sale brought it under the .10 cents per piece which was nice). Thanks for the review, it is the reason I got the set and I think it was a great buy!
  20. With the new Kingdoms line, I noticed a similiarity to other lines in the past. I was thinking, instead of having 20 factions duking it out against each other, wouldn't be interesting if some of the factions teamed up or became "branches" For example: I just took my Kingdom knights and Royal knights from the mid 90's and made them the "good guys" because they both have the Lion as their symbol. For me Kingdoms seem more specialized and remind me of some type of specialized infantry like the Marines for the US. Dragon Masters and the new Dragon knights are now the same faction for me as well. Knights are the soldiers and Masters control the fantasy element of the whole operation. Black Knights are alone since they don't need anyone, and Forestmen/Dark Forest are with the Wolfpack since they can use all of the help they can find. Now on to the reason: In terms of MOC'ing, I was curious on other people's take of this idea. I know it will look like several factions mashed together but for some reason I really think it could be a good idea. I also think we can all help generate ideas in terms of which factions are similar enough to make allies or the same army. Just a though, I really want to hear everyone else's feedback! Sorry if there is another thread on this, I searched for it before posting and couldn't find anything.
  21. I know in the US they are on backorder until Oct. 4, I am not sure about the rest of the world. I am hoping they are backordered because they are changing up their materials. The review posted on these battle packs shows what the quality was like and from what I saw it was dissapointing. I was hoping they would be really good. Either way, I think I will still get one each because I like the variety they put in for battles, MOCs, etc. I wish they would go back to the boxed sets. Oh, the Golden Age
  22. That is a crazy price, and kudos to the seller for resisting tempation and keeping it for all those years.... Honestly, I do think that price is crazy. It is a great set but I guess for collecting purposes it is a good one to find, so if someone has the money and really wants it it will always sell. As for me, I would open it in a heartbeat, so if I ever win/purchase the BSB it is gonna be used because I can't afford to spend that much money on something I couldn't resist keeping sealed up haha.
  23. I hope not... I really like the classic pirates stuff, especially the line from 88-97. If POTC is produced, I think that it could be the end of classic pirates. Plus, I feel like Lego has covered anything they can think of piratey, I almost feel like we would be paying premium dollar for some new figs and different colored pieces. Also, that looks custom to me. The hair and hat don't look like plastic, but a mold instead but who knows. I guess we will find out! Either way it will all be very interesting and honestly I think it would sell very vey well.
  24. Wow those are actually pretty good prices even compared to USD... Something to think about. Maybe I can have a little bit of luck thrown in with it as well!
  25. Where on eBay are you finding these? I have been looking for one for a while and just lost it the other day for $25...
