The list sounds pretty plausable. Cloud Car - Looking forward to this since set design has come a long way since the last one. Hopefully we'll see a new Lobot or Bespin Guard. A new Leia would be nice too since the Bespin Gown figure needs an update and the Bespin Escape version has yet to be made, and somehow I doubt the inevitable Cloud City set will give us both versions. Bespin Lando will probally be saved for a future Cloud City set. Saesee Tinn's Starfighter - not much to say other than it follows the trend of a new JS each year. New astromech to look forward to, another Tinn and hopefully a new character like Adi Gallia. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't she and Jocusta Nu the only 2 Jedi left that haven't been done yet? AT-ST Endor - Meh. We got one not long ago in the Battle of Endor set. Really depends on how much different it is from the last one and what comes with it. Last time we got Chewbacca so hopefully this will come with an AT-ST driver. A new Ewok would be nice, or an updated version of one of the main heroes. Desert Skiff and Jabba's Palace - Like TPM sets this year I expect these to give us all the core characters rather than random aliens. Since the palace will probally have an average of 6 standard minifigures my predictions are Luke, Boussh Leia, Bib Fortuna, Oola, a Gammorrean guard and Chewbacca. The skiff will likely come with Han, Lando and Boba Fett - if we're lucky a weequay guard too. I'm guessing a rancor will also be included this time - something along the lines of the Wampaa and Hulk figures. Slave Leia will probally be saved for a future Sailbarge set. About the Queen Amidala figure, I'm betting she'll be in the Toys R Us exclusive for 2012. They're always getting a big set exclusive in the second half of the year and seeing how there's no flagship vehicle in the list (like the Falcon, Turbo Tank, Gunship etc) chances are it will be the Royal Starship or a Trade Federation vehicle. I just can't see Lego releasing 2 big playsets in the same wave but no big vehicle.

What DC/Marvel Hero/Villain Do You Most Want To See Made In LEGO?
wesker replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in LEGO Licensed
From X-Men: Cyclops Storm Jean Grey/Phoenix/Dark Phoenix Rogue Gambit Beast Nightcrawler Iceman Colosseus Emma Frost Proffessor X Angel/Archangel Sabertooth Mystique Juggernaught Apocalypse Mr Sinister Shadowcat Psylocke Sauron Lady Deathstrike The Shi'ar Empire Hellfire Club Sentinel Mastermold Marvel Peter Parker Tony Stark Steve Rogers Venom Carnage Lizard Mysterio Green Goblin Mary-Jane Watson Pepper Potts Fantastic Four Silver Surfer Dr. Doom War Machine Galactus Bucky Odin Lady Sif Warriors Three Nick Fury (Ultimate/SLJ version) Destroyer J Jonah Jameson Aunt May Mandarin Red Skull Whiplash Obediah Stane DC Harley Quinn (Arkham Asylum/Arkham City version) Alfred Dick Grayson Tim Drake Commisioner Gordon Lucius Fox Vicky Vale Nightwing Scarecrow Penguin Ras Al Ghul Talia Al Ghul Riddler Killer Croc Batgirl Clark Kent Lois Lane Black Mask -
I can't see why he won't be. Maybe not next year but I'd imagine he, Prof X, Storm, Jean, Rogue, Gambit, Mystique, Sabertooth and Beast are all characters guarenteed to be made.

Can't wait to see what the new X-Wing looks like, especially after how much the TIE Fighter has been improved. I'm glad we're getting a Pilot Luke thrown in as well since I missed out on the updated one in the recent AT-AT set. Plus you gotta love how many astromechs we're getting in the first wave. Looking forward to seeing the Ceremony Leia and updated ROTS Anakin and Obi-Wan minifigs.

I think the X-Men sets are going to be very generous with the female figs. The X-Jet alone could give us Storm, Jean Grey and Rogue. Just imagine how many others can be pumped out of a multi-year contract? Emma Frost, Mystique, Phoenix/Dark Phoenix, Psylocke, Shadowcat, Scarlet Witch, Jubilee... so many possibilities.

I feel the opposite. Throwing Panaka and Tatooine Padme into the Infiltrator frees up some slots for other potential exclusive minifigures in the Royal Starship. Keep in mind if we do get the Queen's ship we'll probally only be getting around 6 minifigures in it, and like the Falcon most of them will be the main heroes - Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Queen Amidala, Jar-Jar, R2-D2 and Anakin. Amidala will be one exclusive and assuming one of the other heroes gets left out in favor for another then there's also Handmaiden Padme, Ric Olie or one of the different color astromech droids - characters that can't really be included in many other sets the same way Panaka and Tatooine Padme can.

[REVIEW] 7962 Anakin Skywalker and Sebulba's Podracers
wesker replied to parchioso's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Same rubber as Plo Koon, Kit Fisto and CW Yoda. -
Pretty ordinary playset compared to what we're used to now, but still an excellent parts pack for creating your own Echo Base. The new Luke figure is awesome and Han and Leia are huge improvements over the older versions. I really don't get why the new Leia face gets so much hate round here. Looks much better than the original.

Very impressed with the new TIE Fighter. At first glance I assumed it was a UCS set. The new minifigures look great too, especially the new astromech and Queen Amidala. Wonder if this means we're getting her starship next year?
-
Those (non-prelim) figures look stunning - Poison Ivy, Wolverine and Wonderwoman being the highlights. I'm glad we're going to be seeing a large portion of Batman's rogues in the first year. One thing I found to be interesting was Nick Fury being listed under X-Men and not The Avengers. Since Wolverine is sporting his yellow costume does this mean we can expect to see a peach colored Fury instead of a black one? Speaking of X-Men, the only disapointment so far is the small roster of characters. There's a lot of ground to cover as X-Men doesn't just have a long list of villains but a dozen heroes as well. Only being a small part of the license means we won't be filling the roster as quickly as we would with Star Wars. Still I can't wait for the inevitable X-Jet and hopefully a Sentinal in the future.

How about a Theed Palace set? Not a collection of open rooms like most SW playsets but an actual building similar to the latest Hogwarts Castle.

[REVIEW] 7962 Anakin Skywalker and Sebulba's Podracers
wesker replied to parchioso's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Double sided head. Both he, Anakin, Luke, Leia and Padme all have them. -
TPM - Queen Amidala (preferably the red gown but any costume is good) - Padme (Battle gear) - Boss Nass - Shmi Skywalker - TC-14 - More podracers (Mawhonic, Teemto, updated Alder Beedo and Gasgano) - Sebulba's blue Twilek twins AOTC - Updated Jango Fett - Updated Obi-Wan - Updated Anakin - Padme (both Droid Factory and Geonosian Arena) - Updated Zam Wesell - Updated Count Dooku - Poggle the Lessar - Taun We or Lama Su TCW - Ahsoka (Season 3.5) - Aurra Sing (Assassin) - Mother Talzin - Nightsisters - Pre Vizla - Adi-Gallia - Even Piell ROTS - Updated Obi-Wan - Updated Anakin - Updated Mace Windu - Darth Sidious (both Senate Duel and Office Duel) ANH - Garindan - Dr. Evazan - Ponda Baba - Updated Biggs Darklighter - Updated Wedge Antilles (give him a unique face this time) - Updated Tarkin - Updated Owen - Beru ESB - Zuckuss - 4-LOM - Updated Lando - Updated Dagobah Luke - Updated Bespin Leia - General Rieekan - Toryn Farr - Bespin Escape Leia ROTJ - Updated Endor Luke - Oola - Updated Jabba (painted and with added waist articulation) - Leia as Boussh - Updated Slave Leia (preferably with a new braid mold) - Updated Gammorrean Guard - More Ewok variants
-
I'd like to see more podracers get released each year like the Hoth sets do. Gasgano, Mawhonic and Alder Beedo need their pods updated to go with the new Anakin and Sebulba ones plus a few new ones wouldn't hurt. There's plenty of options for good minifigures too besides the racers - Poncho Qui-Gon, Shmi, C-3PO without the plating, Kitster, the blue Twilek twins, the race announcers, updated Jabba, TPM Bib Fortuna - even another Jar Jar or Padme wouldn't hurt.
-
I like it. Sure it could be more detailed but for the size and price point I'm not expecting another Imperial Flagship. My only real disapointment is no pirate version of Elizabeth Swann, but getting an awesome looking Davey Jones minifigure more than makes up for it.
-
The hairline is too low on the old piece. It looked fine on the old Leia cause her face was kind of squashed, but put it on any of the recent female faces and it looks odd. I do think the new one could've been better. The redesigned ANH Leia doesn't look anywhere near as good as the new Hoth version.

[REVIEW] 7962 Anakin Skywalker and Sebulba's Podracers
wesker replied to parchioso's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the review. Both racers are huge improvements over the old versions and the minifigures look great as always. I'm a little dissapointed Watto has a rubber torso though. Would have prefered the harder plastic like the old figure, even if its the cheap chinese one. Hopefully this set will be successful enough for Lego to release more podracers in the future. -
Luke: The new hairpiece is a huge improvement over the last but I'm not sure on the face. This one is too angry. Last year's was too happy. A neutral expression like the the pre-pubil eye face would be better. Qui-Gon: Looks good. Hope the hairpiece sticks to the head better this time. Darth Maul: Glad they made the horns removable. Its always good having the option to use both them and the hood. Torso print is nice but I kind of prefer the old one. Padme: Torso looks a bit underdetailed but its good to have her in a new set. Panaka: Obi-Wan: At least he doesn't have the same face this time. But with all these new molds why does he still have a hood? And why use old Ben's torso when Qui-Gon's would be more accurate? Oh well guess that's the beauty of Lego. You can mod it yourself. Anakin: Face looks plain but the torso and helmet are nice. Sebulba: Looks much better with the printing and added articulation. Watto: Way better than the last Wald: More rodians are always good. Savage: Fantastic! The headpiece and armour look amazing and the cartoon face actually suits him. Geonosian: Prefer the grey version from 2003 save for the head printing. I hope the head isn't rubber. Ki-Adi-Mundi: Headpiece is nice. The face is not. I was hoping that with the Clone Wars video game using classic style faces instead of the CW style we might have seen a change in the sets as well. I guess not. Naboo Pilot: Looks good. Not much else to say. Logray and Black Ewok: Both look great! Nice to see some variety in the ewok clan. Eeth Koth: Nice headpiece. Don't like the cartoon face. Quinlan Vos: Ugly figure but nice effect blending the printed braid with the molded hairpiece. CT Wolfpack/Commander Wolffe: My favourite of the coloured clones to date. Can't wait to get them. Too bad there's no pics of Leia, CW Anakin or Ventress. I was looking forward to seeing how different they are from previous versions.
-
Rancor is my first choice but any of the Geonosian creatures would be sweet as well.
-
NEW PADME! The last one was released over a decade ago and looks out of place next to the new fleshie/CW/pupil eye minifigures. Besides Padme the other ones I want 1. Any Princess Leia (Haven't gotten Boussh yet plus her other costumes need an updated face to go with the new Luke and Han figs) 2. New Jango Fett 3. Ki-Adi-Mundi 4. New Jabba (needs printing and could use some added articulation to the waist)
-
Very impressive line up. The new pictures look even better than what I expected. On the topic of Sugi, you can see a more accurate figure on the box art.

Any word on when Cad Bane's Speeder is expected to show up? -
I didn't think we'll see Shaak Ti until the second half of the year and didn't expect Saesee Tinn at all. Knowing we'll be getting both in the shuttle is awesome news! Good to see my prediction was correct about Aurra Sing coming, but I'm curious whether Pre Vizsla will be in the mando pack or not. I guess we won't know until the final set images show up. Also have to wonder whether the specialized clones will involve new helmet molds or just different printing and equipment.
-
Some new stuff from the trailer I want to see: - Savaage Opress - Cad Bane's new speeder - Nightsisters - Trident ship on Kamino (good set to include Shaak Ti) - Fanblade starfighter - Ventress in her classic microseries costume - New type of battle droids - Satine and Padme http://www.starwars.com/video/view/001074.html

I think Anio's MOC captured the wings perfectly. The appearance of the beams is much more movie accurate and I like the way the wings and cockpit can rotate without the beams swinging down with them. If Lego ever revist this again they should take a long hard look at this MOC: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=44221&st=0
