  1. Working on an entry now... sorry if it pops up unedited or incomplete, I'm not completely familiar with this editor and am messing around a little... Edit: My entry is now up, so this post can be deleted... I dont' know how (or even if) I can do that though. So admin, you are welcome to delete this :-)
  2. Haha funny you should bring this up; I ordered the new Slave I from TRU online and it arrived today in a HUGE box (could have fit three slave I boxes in the shipping box) but still the Lego box was rather crunched on one side. Seems to be a common TRU problem, as I've never had an issue with Lego S@H. But I'm gonna ultimately have to agree with you're wife on this one... it's what's inside that matters! I do keep most of my boxes, but they're just in case I re-sell them.
  3. That's probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Absolutely amazing. I mean, it's REALLY good! but wow, that's just a lot of time! And Legos!
  4. Very cool moc. I too dropped some comments on your flickr, but then I forgot to ask... where is that head from that you use on the guard watching the two illegal "aliens"?
  5. As the others have said, it is indeed an excellent build, especially as it's your first. Thanks for sharing!
  6. Nice! I think it's a pretty clever little vig. Particularly like the water burst on the fire hydrant. Clever way to make the bullets too... reminds me of the Matrix.
  7. I'm still not sure what to think of this set... I was not a fan of it when it came out, and I really don't think I am now. I didn't buy it, but I have to admit the value of it now makes it more desirable. The one thing I do love about the set is the Boba figure (and not just because of the price on it). What do people really love about the set, aside from Boba Fett? I'd like to hear some more feedback from various people on that. Anyway, very well done review, Inconspicuous, and I appreciate it! I've wanted to see a review of this set for a while!
  8. Pretty good little video. The first gray sliding door he showed could be a good hangar door. Anyone know what the clicking pieces were that locked the doors together?
  9. You're right, there is definitely some discolored and/or old grey in there... I was thinking a wee bit more extreme . But that's just me getting really nitpicky on a nearly-perfect build (far more perfect than I could attain).
  10. I tried designing alien plants recently, and they're not easy. You're creativity and use of parts is amazing. Very nice entry and nice MOC overall. Good luck!
  11. I nearly asked about the piece count myself, and I see it's already been asked... A beautiful rendition of this great SW ship. The Slave I is my favorite, the only SW ship I've got all versions of (at least in mini-fig scale). One thought... the Slave is a pretty old, beat up ship (albeit deadly). Have you thought about adding a bit of that "run-down" feeling to the ship by using some off-color grey or similar colors? Anyway, glad to see this build, and welcome to EB!
  12. I know I've already commented on your Flickr page, but I gotta say it again... this is a sick build, and you've become the guy to beat in that contest! This is just a wonderful MOC all the way around.
  13. Haha nice discussion so far :-). Very effective little MOC, Doc. The Vader in chrome is impressive... did you build this at least partially just to show him off? Nice work with the "falling" hand too!
  14. I gotta say I think it would be a really good move for TLG. I mentioned it in the last survey I sent them. If they put together some quality chariots and ancient looking buildings, I'd buy it up. Has potential for some really great minifigs too. They could build some great columned buildings and fountains, a few arches, cool statues and courtyards, Roman baths and aqueducts... I'm surprised they haven't done it yet!
  15. this one looks like a she-bionicle... got a little chest to it.
  16. Welcome, Wacky sir. While we'll look forward to any of your MOCs, it's been awhile since I've been blown away by a steampunk themed creation, so I really hope to see some of those. (No offense to anyone who has built a really cool steampunk moc recently... I prolly just missed it :-)). Enjoy EB!
  17. This is impressive! I take it you build this before the mon calamari figs became available? You did an incredible job building them, either way... especially looking at them through the "glass", they look fantastic. Congratulations on a build very well done.
  18. It was a guess... when you said that you 'have" 13 years instead of "are" 13 years old, it sounded like what a French speaking person might say. In French, one would say "J'ai treize ans", which literally translates, "I have 13 years" rather than "I am 13 years old".
  19. WOW. Sick setup. Love the landing bay with the spaceship and the shark. Adds those nice little humorous touches that set some of these apart from other stuff. Too many cool details to comment on, but I intend to look at this thing in more detail! Thanks for sharing!
  20. From the France-land huh? Welcome to Eurobricks! Looking forward to your contributions.
  21. I really like your work on the creek and the little spring on the edge. I haven't seen the rounded parts used quite like you did for the shorline, and it gives a wonderful "flowy" effect to the water. Man, I miss the Forestmen.
  22. Lovin' the waterwheel, uneven roof pieces and the way you made the fella appear to be sitting over the edge. Nice little vig!
  23. Wow cool find - thanks for posting all that. The classic-space colors make my favorite version
  24. Haha nice. Looks like what Paris Hilton's great grand-daughter might ride around the moon in.
  25. Wow. I'm a purist, not into custom figs or pieces, and I still can't get over how cool this guy is. Honestly, this is the best looking custom minifig I've ever seen (Haven't seen a TON, but I've seen my fair share). I'd buy this one.
