eep what did I do now?
-
Rank has its privlidges.
-
thats what they did with the Viking line, but i'm thinking they may broaden their horizons to include Roman sets with Balistas and trebuchets and so on.
-
true but others have noticed a trend with LEGO and Playmobile, when Playmobile has a theme LEGO comes out with a similar theme like the vikings and so on, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Greeks, Romans and Egyptians in the next year or two, like I foresaw before coming out in 2011 and 2012, and wouldn't be surprised if series 3 collectible minifigs have elves in them either.
-
well know this Playmobil is LEGO's competitor not mega blocks or tyco or any of those, its playmobil they compete against since their lines are both designed for the same age groups, with LEGO going outside those age groups on some things.
-
so I guess the Agents line didn't exist? or the Vikings line didn't exist? or the Dino Attack line didn't exist?(Jurassic park not exactly a kiddie movie either), or lets look at the other lines shall we? your premise that Ancients would not be popular is faulty at best PlayMobile did a Roman and Egyptian theme sets and they were wildly popular. furthermore your premise that the line must be popular amongst kids is also faulty since many lines LEGO did were very unpopular amongst kids and adults Gallidor comes to mind.

odds are a majority of them are adults, since seriously how many kids you know will take time to do a survey or whos parents will allow them to take a survey? as to Ninjas you can thank shows like power rangers for imbeding them into our childrens minds. -
actually you would be surprised by what kids find enjoyable these days 10 out of 10 times my neices and nephews came over they went playing with my Romans and Greeks first and left my Knights and such alone.

But many have noticed with the quality of LEGO of late I still keep thinking i'm going to find a MB brand on them instead of the LEGO brand, and yes people complained about parts from Mexico too, but from what i've noticed the bulk of complaints have been recent product shipped out of China when it comes to basic color and print and feel on LEGO, in fact I just compared 2 Kingdom's sets one not from China and the other from China, and there is some considerable differances in them, not too mention has anybody noticed how the Horses (which are done in China) are looking really weird and glossy? almost like shifty or enlighten horses. -
Rick from one Rick to another Rick, please enlighten us to where LEGO said that these minifigs would not be used again.? LEGO never said that but people assumed it a great deal, but nowhere was it said so by LEGO. actually look at a certain competitor of LEGOs which LEGO usually copies about 3 years too late, they recently had Roman and Circus lines which did great so you think LEGO will not jump on that band wagon? oh yeah were gonna get Ancients and get them pretty soon, wouldn't be surprised if they come out next year.
-
yeah be nice to see something like this, its simple in design and great:

Actually you haven't listened then since for the past few years people have been complaigning about the quality of LEGO going down hill, I never really gave it much thought till I bought some sets a couple years ago and in one set all of the minifig parts were not in it, and there was no rips in the bags they came in or openings or even resealing and the set was bought straight from LEGO so that irked me and this set was from China according to the box, and then there are sets which have had the lousy connectability of Mega Blocks some of the black 1x8's would not connect and so on, while I haven't encountered problemsthat severe recently I still encounter the minor melted brick (not completely formed in the mold) and such. and I'm not alone in this either. -
Starting 07/18/10 Toys R' Us will be having their Christmas in July sale and certains themes of LEGO will be on sale at buy one get one half off themes will include but not limited to PoP, Atlantis and so on, also until the 17th. all clearance items are at 75% off.

Hmph I was expecting a garden (flowers, plants, etc.) made out of LEGOs from title.

basically all the magazing is, is a paper version of Brickshelf (avoids tomatoes and lettuce headed my way) seriously people thats all it really is, nothing really fancy, the cost your paying is for the little LEGO sets that come with it, and the coupons, well the coupons are great except for the free pass since if your not planning on going, not alot of good that will do you, and its only good for a buy one get one free pass deal, so 2 of you would need to be going, $5 off coupons, hey their $5 off LEGO what more can I say, now to the meat and potatoes of the dilemma the sets. you have basic small $5 sets with the occasional minifig(rarely) that are nice but not really all that great and could probably be found on BL for a reasonable rate without having to buy a subscription and getting sets you don't want. but in the end the decision is yours, and if you would like it.

all the more reason to make them, might not be same color or might but you know LEGO with its attraction to sports themes no matter how bad they do and cheerleaders would fit, now the clown horn, that can be used for old style cars too or if they do a circus theme which was just done by one of their competitors. the stands I see as a minifig type only piece only to be found in the collectible minifigs. -
Too be honest I wouldn't bother with it at all since what a fly would leave is miniscule compared to the human fecal matter that is floating around. (mythbusters did an episode on this with toothbrushes and such)

Sorry if this is on here already!

Those that are anti-decal usually are anti-paint too, as too painting some have done it, but not on alot of points either. -

LEGO never said the minifigs would not be released in sets, only that certain acces would not (which i'm thinking the stands) -
well mine were not in any set they were part of a special LEGO deal awhile back, so these were not obtained by sets, but they were LT. bley which works just as well since cheaper then light grey might as well buy a complete set then.

wasn't just where I lived people were reporting limits at their TRU in this thread alone from the onset, heck at the beginning my store didn't have limit but they imposed a 3 minifig limit towards the end, not that it was any good cause people could go thru the line again and again ad infinitum -
Capes? What do you use?
Asterios replied to Sirens-of-Titan's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
its a leather punch (or maybe called an awl too, not sure) but its large setting is good for head holes and second to large for arm holes from what i've found out, and I love it.
