When public: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=331003 After reading about this knock-off brand, I asked a korean friend to look for some at one of his visits back home, so here we go. The quality of the bricks is pretty good, they look all shiny, not like those other Canadian knock-offs. The legs of the minifigs move a bit too easily, but otherwise, they are ok. The glow-BURP actually glows with shades of red, green and blue. One of the bricks had cancer, but given the latest quality issues of TLC, nothing that extra ordinary. I think it was around $30 Box Content Door with illumination Vehicle Shrine Outpost

What about centaurs. Pretty much a horse with the head chopped off, and an attachment point attachment point for a minifig torso. Those would be side kicks for the elves. The bad guys would get minoutaurs and barbarians or giants.

I saw some Lego clone military sets, and I don't like them. It is too real, whereas the themes we have so far stylize or abstract violence.

PLEASE READ-There is no phishing scam
ScottManDeath replied to ScottManDeath's topic in Forum Information and Help
U can haz PM ;) Though I don't know about any vulnerabilities in the forum software, I assume that there was some effort be done, since accessing the subscription tables in the db should not easily be done. -
EDIT by Hinckley: This is what happened earlier. I am the "glitch in the system" that was referred to by SW4J. I was testing some front page functions in invisible threads and forgot that people are subscribed to it. Rest assured that there is no phishing scam and I apologize for the silly topics that came through. They were just strings of words with no further meaning. :-$ I am subscribed to some forums and today, I got a few weired emails: Clicking on the link in the email with the phising address, I got asked to login, which I gratefully declined. Checking EB from my bookmark confirmed that something phishy was going on. Note that I censored the ip address. I also reported this post so the mods see it.

Quick and dirty pictures. Eventually, I will make a nice battle scene or so. Well, my dark ages endes last summer while I was interning in California. There was a Lego store in the vicinity; since then, the road only got more slippery :-$ Since then, I got a complete KKII collection (2004 to 2006, some sets in multiples, around 100 minifigs), and a complete Vikings collection and most Star Wars sets from since then. I am yet to get 4 more clone trooper battle packs, then I will have 6 groups of 16 each. Army on *vader* Gallery 5/8 Catapult Defense MOCS 2/8 Catapult Defense

what makes it so adictive???
ScottManDeath replied to hollisbrick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think, even though with all our civilization and stuff, at heart, we are still hunters and gatherers. Since hunting is both tiresome and a bloody mess to do, gathering stuff is the only thing we can do nowadays with justifiable effort. *sweet* Even better, we can let other people do the gathering and let them ship the stuff to our caves where we can indulge in it. But after assembling 15 sets -

Kewl. I will sex it up, maybe "brand" it for EB :-) I am not sure, but I might be possible to hack something together so I can also resize and upload batches of images automatically, because that sucks most at using brickshelf that I have to resiza manually, zip it up and upload it. I will try if it is possible.... but for now I gotta go to work :-) -

(Not my stuff, but the pix are few and small) ImagesInline mode Gallery (Thumbs link to image mode) Gallery (Thumbs link to site mode) Gallery Glad you like it :) Well, the program itself is 28KB, but it depends on the .NET 2.0 Framework, which, if it is not installed already, requires 24MB -
I am just testing a little tool I am writing which automatically creates forum bb code for any brickshelf gallery, ready to be inserted. I found it quite annoying that I had to do all the copy and paste just to show pix of a moc. It is basically a wrapper around the internet explorer which parses the html document to find links and images .... I don't have webspace, but if somebody could host the program, I would be happy to make it usable by other people.

Best way to ship overseas (from USA)?
ScottManDeath replied to dunamis's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
What about customs? At some point I have to take all my stuff with me when I leave the US to return to Europe, and then I don't want to have to explain to the customs people that they are my personal bricks and not intended for sale.... -
Knight's Stronghold MISB for unbelievable 20

Yeah, they are good. I got 10 clone trooper packs, but one pack was missing a torso and had a engine thruster instead and the other had a tile instead of a 2x2 plate. I went to their web page and 2 weeks later I got the missing parts. :)
