Does anyone know how long the Medieval Market Village will be available for? I'm hoping to buy it within the next few weeks and I hope it doesn't suddenly disappear right when I have enough saved up to get it.

That is odd. The box was most definitely not opened before I opened it. This particular store only got 1 box for the holidays(My aunt happens to work there) and there were 60 packs in the box. I meticulously went through each and every pack only looking for the 2 codes of the vampire and spartan. Neither were in there i tell ya! I'm happy I got a few of the figures from the series though. After looking at them all i chose 5 out at random and got popstar, 2 witches, karate master, and cop so it wasn't a total lose. Always good to have more mini figs to pepper my buildings with.

n each box? (sorry about the title, i always forget the character limit) I was at a store tonight that had an unopened box of series 2 collectible minifigures. I popped the box open, whipped out my phone for the barcodes, and tried in vain to search for a Spartan and Vampire. But to my utter dismay neither figure seemed to be in the box. Can this happen? There was a ridiculous amount of witches though.

Ever since I was a kid every new set I got I would try to build just from the box art and see how close I can get and have as little pieces left over as possible. Most of the time I'd have tons of plates and flat pieces left over. And for the Fright Knight castle it was just a mess. But I'm hoping one day I can do it exactly right. hasn't happened yet though. :(

Yeah i just threw the entire brick into the jar. There really wasn't any way to get at just the yellowed parts. But as far as I can tell the surface of the bricks not yellowed were unaffected by the peroxide. If you look at the Flag I did at the blue and black parts nothing happened to those colors at all. As for a step by step guide: 1. Get a clear jar large enough to hold all the bricks you want to do. I used a glass jar with a lid so i could turn it over on its side for maximum sun penetration. 2. pour in 2 teaspoons of oxyclean(or something similar) 3. throw in your ugly bricks. 4. pour in enough peroxide to submerge all the bricks. 5. Close lid and shake jar a bit and set outside in direct sunlight. 6. check every now and then. Oh and inside the jar the bricks will fizzle like when you put an antacid(like alka seltzer) into water. Don't worry there is nothing wrong and your bricks are not dissolving. :)

I should have taken pics of what i did today but there really wasn't any change in the shade of the color bricks i did today. I did a few blue bricks that had the yellowized sort of greenish tint to it and also some gray pieces and a few old grey mountain pieces that were also greenish. The blue bricks showed no diminishing change color and came out great. As for the grey walls on the parts that were greenish those parts ended up slightly lighter in color than than the rest of the piece but(for me at least) you can hardly tell. I mean you can see where the yellow part was but only if you are really looking for it. I'm more than happy with how this turned out.

So here are my results. Pics are a bit blurry but you can clearly see the extent of the yellowization on the bricks and how immaculate they came out. I did a solution of 2 teaspoons oxyclean and the rest regular 3% peroxide in a lidded glass jar and put out in the sun for about 6 hours. I did another few bricks today using just 3% peroxide and got even better results on some colored bricks. So I'm not entirely sure the oxyclean is even needed. Also Nothing cracked or got damaged in the slightest and grip power was certainly not affected. Before: After:

Gonna do this tomorrow with a Broadsides Brig set I got in a lot that is super discolored on all the white pieces. I'll take pics of my results. I did this a few years ago with some old GI Joes that went yellow on me and things went pretty good for that, only some of the figures skin tone also changed a bit. But since I'm doing this with one solid color pieces I am excited about the results.

Fixing loose clutching bricks

I hope it isn't hot temperature. I wash every brick/set i buy used in hot soapy water because i'm a bit of a germophobe but also because they are usually caked in dust. I hope the water didn't do that to them. :( Though I havn't noticed this with any other bricks I've bought and washed.- 42 replies

the pieces that have lost their grip. I won an auction on ebay for a few sets(sheriffs lock-up, bandits secret hideout, renegade runner, broadsides brig, and wavemaster) for a great price of $55. A lot of the pieces from the 2 pirate sets are like this. I don't get how this happens as I have bricks from the mid 80s that are still as grippy as ever but there you go.

Goblin Glider and Ghost Rider Bike commissions.

I think it would be easier to make a Dan Ketch version of the bike with legos. It is bigger and more angular and ketch and his bike are totally awesome anyway. -

Help with identifying parts/sets!

I have a piece that looks like this one, except that the sides instead of looking like the bottom of a 2x4 brick it looks like the top of a 2x4 on the top 3 sides. I can't find any set this thing goes to or find the piece on bricklink. -
Just a heads up to anyone in the US. I was at wal-mart tonight and all the POP sets were discounted. The biggest set was down to $61, Quest Against Time was $35, Fight for the Dagger was $21, Ostrich race was 13, and the small set was $6. Picked up a second Fight for the Dagger. So if your wal-mart is discounting these go get them!

I love it. The animated series batmobile was one of my favorite toys as a kid. You should make it so the back comes out into the glider like the actual toy did. That would be neat. :)

Indiana Jones theme discussion & speculations
super curry max replied to Zzz's topic in LEGO Licensed
I went to wal-mart tonight and out of the blue saw a venice canal chase sitting on the shelf I bought it and it was only $19. What is weird about this besides the price is that this wal-mart in the past didn't have many of the indy line. The only sets they ever had were the 2 small sets motorcycle chase and jungle duel and then the river chase. They never had any of the 2009 sets until this lone venice chase i snapped up today. I'm not complaining though for $19 I got a heck of a deal. -
Which set has the most number of extras
super curry max replied to lisqr's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Would 2 people buying the same set get the same extras(if there are any)? Or is it totally random? I got 3 extra apples and an extra drumstick in the prince of persia fight for the dagger set -
Wow. I am floored that a legit reason is people complained about there being no instructions. That would have never of ever crossed my mind as a possibility. Though I am a strange one, I have always had this habit of trying to build sets from the box using only the box art and not the instructions to see how close i could get and how little pieces I could have left over. :) I loved the alt build pics because they would give me ideas on making my own strange stuff. I miss that.

I stopped buying legos in 1998 then only recently began buying older sets I wanted when I was a kid when my daughter became interested in lego. It seems that most sets I have tracked down that we wanted from the last 2 years or so lacked the alternate builds on both the back of the box and in the instructions. Seems kind of weird.

Are these sets suppose to be out everywhere in the US now? No stores with-in 50 miles of me have them. Really want The Ostrich race set. :(
