My son saw in the newest issue today one of the next sets that goes along with the brickmaster sub is a small prince of persia set that looked neat. I was wondering how long I have to buy the brickmaster subscription before we can't get that set anymore.

Mystery was solved. Inside the instruction booklet for ninja surprise I found the blue plastic samurai flag that would suggest at some point Ibbought the samurai swordsman pack as I have a lone black horse that wasn't accounted for in all my other sets. Now I can sleep peacefully.

that set. I have some Ninja theme samurai items and for my own sanity I'm trying to figure out where they came from. The only ninja sets I've ever owned are 6033 treasure transport and 6045 ninja surprise. Yet also in my mess of legos I have a single samurai armor and samurai gold helmet horn. I never owned any set that contained those parts and I figure now that they must have come from the ninja sets as extra pieces? possibly?

Everything still all comes down to Licensing. Marvel like every other company licenses their properties out for a period of time. This agreement happened long before Disney bought them and Marvel/Disney would probably have to pay a hefty amount to back out of that contract. It is same thing with marvel movies and TV shows. Disney owns them and has their own TV channels, yet Nickelodeon still has the rights to several marvel properties. And with Marvel making their movies now they can do whatever they want, except they can't make their own X-Men, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, and some other character movies because other movie studios have those rights. It seems all kinds of wrong for our point of view but this is life. I do agree that marvel lego sets would be the height of excellence. But until megabloks decides it isn't worth it to keep the license or the contract expires it won't happen. :(
