Stay on topic or don't post. How hard can it be? KimT

Erhm... Where's the review? It would be nice to have a few pics of the V-19 itself and a few comments on it. Could You please add that? KimT

Nice remake Sorry to say I like the old one better. But then again I am an incurable Classic Space fan. Mmmmmm Astro Dasher..... KimT

Who? Me? - I have no idea what you're speaking of. Anyhow I did another review today 6701 Space Minifigues KimT EDIT: and another one enters the scene: 6804 Surface Rover

6701 Space Minifigures Review Set#: 6701 Set Name: Space Minifigures Released: 1983 Pieces: 36 (including minifigs) Minifigs: 6 Brickshelf Gallery Peeron.com Bricklink Brickset.com Introcomment: As I reignited my love for Classic Space a few years ago, I decided to start hunting sets I didn't have. This small one fell into my lap very cheap. With box and minifigs in great condition. So now I've resized the pics and done the review. And NO I am NOT envious of this forum...really...I'm not.... The Box. The box is pretty neat. It has a very comfortable size (compared to modern boxes) and the back of it shows what you get. I like the way they (TLG) split the minifigs and arranged everything neatly. Front: Rear Sadly the box has seen better days. But it's age taken into consideration, I think it's just fine. The figs: A fine collection of red, white and yellow space figs. Some great accesories to go as well. Not much more to say, except this was a great "army-builder"-set. A true must have for most Classic Space fans. The verdict: It's kinda hard rating this set, since it's a minifig supplemental set. No design or colourscheme to comment on. It has a lot of playability since figs will always come in handy when building/playing with your Space sets. KimT

Check the first post of the review. There's a few fine pics of the clones there. Acc. belt and guns! KimT

Thanks for the review, I'll index it later. I've added a poll, so that members can vote their opinion and refrain from useless comments like "awesome!!" (This has been done to all reviews in the SW review index). Keep up the good work. This is one of my favourite sets - I have both versions and as it is known, the only difference is the minifigs. I really like the tank, it has great playability and if it had wings, I'd definately swoosh it. KimT

I like the sturdy look of the drilling unit. I wish they'd done the Exo-Force Mechs like that. Other than that the set is mediocre in my opinion. Thanks for the review...I think I'd rather spend my money building my collection of Classic Space instead. KimT

I think You might have missed this one: Hero Tank 7706 Exo Force I know it's a little old, but still it's a review of a set from a great theme - at least at some point it was. KimT

Ahem! You've missed some: 6950 Mobile Rocket Transport 6870 Space Probe Launcher 6770 Magma Carrier L&S 1558 Mobile Command Trailer That's the ones, I've done so far. In time more may come. Classic Space is THE space theme. KimT

I think You need to work the baseplates. Seeing those white dots is quite annoying. Try adding a little more "landscape"-feeling to it. It looks like the bricks are only there to keep the baseplates together. Also try to "build-over" the SNOT parts of the plate under the MTT. Basically upgrade the landscape and send in the dusters! Nice idea, but there's still a little way to go. Can't wait to see Your improvement with the next diorama. KimT

I've added the pics to the first post for all to enjoy. This great MOC will be indexed within a few minutes. Again great work Baronsat - perhaps You could take a pic with the regular Imperial Shuttle next to it? KimT

This is not a chat. This thread is meant as a discussion on the 2008 sets. Sithassasin we need to talk. KimT

Hi Justin. Did You read this? When introducing yourself, we'd like a little more info. Otherwise this would just be chit chat thread, instead of You telling us, who You really are. Enjoy the boards KimT

Why do You use the mudgards for chairs, if You hate them? That doesn't make any sense Great comic strips KimT

That's the exact explaination I was looking for. The old one feels...well...it's just special. KimT

Thanks again Skipper for producing yet another review to go into the index. I like this Slave1, but sadly I must admit that I like the really old version better. Boba Fett's Slave1 that is, even though is grossly undersized I think it's better than this one belonging to his father Jango. KimT

That would be a great release, but I doubt it. KimT
-
I doubt it. A lot of SW Lego fans are really happy about the rerelease of the RGS. It's the set that I've waited for with the most anticipation this year. KimT

That's one of the finest AT-ST MOCs I've ever seen. I wish TLG would have done their minifig-scaled AT-STs this way. Nice work, I've added it to the index. KimT

Not one of my favourite SW sets. Kinda boring and the set is poorly designed IMHO. We do get the general, but that's not nearly enough. Thanks for the reivew and fine pics. KimT
-
Thanks for the review. This is another good SW set. A true classic. I especially like the colourscheme of this set. The rebel gun is crappy though, but overall the set rocks. KimT

Thanks for the review. I'll definately get this set sooner or later. IMO the Tiny Turbos are awesome. I actually bought nearly every set so far, built the models, added the stickers and packed them away in zip-lock bags in the attic. Sadly I don't have display room for them (yet). A fine set, carwise.. Dump the slammers and buildings into the spare bag and keep the cars. KimT TINY TURBOS ON!

As my summer holiday was kinda wet for 2 weeks, I decided to shop some sets. I crossed the German border and bought me this one mainly for the parts. To get time going, I built the models and made this small review for you to enjoy (or hate) High resolution pics can be found here when public. Set# 4994 Title: Fierce Creatures Price: 9.99 EURO / 12.99 USD Pieces: 193 Minifigs: 0 The Box: The box looks awesome! It has some great animations of the 3 models in the instruction. The rear of the box shows some nice up-close-and-personal drawings of each model. I think it works better having the models drawn instead of a mere photo of them. Somehow it allows the great colour-scheme to really show. The Instructions: The instruction is easy to follow and shows which pieces are used in each building step. That makes it all a lot easier, especially with so many small pieces as in this set. The bricks are divided into 3 polybags and the instruction is a fine small book, which can be easily stored along the rest of your ever-growing amount of booklets and pamphlets printed by TLG. The models: Model 1 is a spider and it’s nasty. The 2x2 modified brick with the hole would allow one to hang it from a string. This beast is sure to give you several nightmares, were it hanging from a string in your bedroom. – So I wouldn’t do that (plus the fact that my wife threw away the box and ordered me to take the spider apart when she saw it – She’s an arachnophobian and does not take spiders lightly). It looks real, in a brickish-non-real-way. Model 2 is a snake. There’s not much to say other than the head is awesomely designed and the rest is bad. The body is poorly designed and does not live up to the coolness of the head. Build the head, ignore the rest. Model 3 is a flying scorpion or something. Not as realistic as the spider, but still a great model with a cool head. The tail is a bit poorly designed, but it’ll do and it does offer some good ideas on how to use bricks. All in All Verdicts: This is an ok Creator set. It holds a lot of fine pieces and the models are an ok inspiration. Given its size, it’s an ok set. But it’s nothing more than that. I’ll give it an average score. I enjoyed building the models and fumbling with the bricks in the shade during a “siesta” on my vacation. And that’s what it is, an enjoyable build and a little inspiration on a hot day with a Erdinger Dunkel Weissbier in my other hand. KimT
