Hi Eldar and welcome to Eurobricks. Nice to have another Castle fan around. You're not of those pesky war-dancers are you?

Welcome to the merry boards of Eurobricks. Glad you decided to join us and take part in the fun. What do you do when no leaning slightly to the side? -
Welcome Pickerel. Could you please tell us a little more about you? Like where you live and what you do when not playing with LEGO? Happy to have you onboard.

Looking fine so far. But please resize your pics or take smaller pics (800x600) The above pics are a little too big.
-
Thanks and no, but I see what you mean by that.

Yeah the wings bug me too, I tried several different versions and ended up with this. I even tried using the green leafs for wings, but the Slave got too big to be build by the remaining bricks in the box. Thanks and yes I saw that very fine Trainstation of yours Truly an impressive little thing - You managed to add quite a few things to the interior of that station No pls no 8150 again

And even more expensive in Europe, so what - still a great set.

I was slightly inspired by the competion we did in Legoland Billund in July. So I decided to see what I could do with the small creator set 4916. And this is what I ended up with: A very small Slave1 I tried to base it a little on the Slave1 mini and the keychain. So anyone else done something like this or do I have too much time on my hands right now?

Whoa! This is a very nice MOC. Put the Market Place and Café Corner next to it and You've got a city. I like how you've transformed the animated version into a perfect lego minifig-scaled version. And must I add that your white bricks are in very fine condition - no yellowing (most of mine look awful) How about adding a poll to make people vote how good this is?

Oops! I just had to deeplink this one as well. Thanks for the link pedro

I'm pretty sure the LULs are gone for good. It's not enviromentally or children friendly producing a very small toy that contains a battery. Actually I think TLG removed the LULs from SW and City because of some rule about toys containing batteries and electronics, much the like disappearance of the magnets.
-
I agree with pedro. Excited at first and then very dissapointed. I have all of them though, not that I like them, I simply collect SW. But they're not the first ones to go on display, when I occasionally change the few figs and sets I have on display at home. LULs = a dissapointment

Super. Thanks! No we now more about You. Into manga comics? KimT

6804 Surface Rover Review Set#: 6804 Set Name: Surface Rover Released: 1984 Pieces: 16 Minifigs: 1 (white classic space minifig) Brickshelf Gallery Peeron.com Bricklink Brickset.com Introcomment: I have to keep my fondness for space going and since I'm no fan of the still "new" Life On Mars Mars Mission theme, I've decided to give you another review of a small Classic Space set. More to come in the following days. The Box. Unfortunately I haven't got the box for this set. But peeron.com was kindly enough to support me with a proper pic. And as usual this is a small easily brought home sized box. Oddly TLG doesn't add the "flip" on top anymore. I remember standing in toystores, pulling 6 or more sets down from the hanger before accesing the one I wanted. It gave buying LEGO sets that threasure hunting touch. [snaps out of his daydreaming]... A small box with a picture of what you get. I've got no rear pic, so I can't tell if TLG did the same as on the 6701 set (split up the inventory). The fig: One single white classic space minifig. This is the worst one in my opinion. I never liked those white guys. And they get easily damaged by the sun. Nah! Give me a red or yellow instead (later blue or black). The Surface Rover: BOTH I am the lucky owner of two of them. (Yes this is a small showoff ) SIDE Though small, I still think this is a neat little set. Compared to the modern "impulse" sets, this is high competable. I like the simplicity of the small classic space sets and this is no exception. The SR is made from very usable bricks, that can easily be used for making ship/base/craft MOCs. REAR As you can see, one of them has been used for surface exploration for many years. It could do with some replacements, but I haven't had the time, yet. The verdict: A fine little classic set. Not much more than that. It holds some useful bricks and worked fine as an "impulse" back then. The classic children's birthday presents during the early 80's. I got quite a few space and town sets back then. Remember to vote your opinion on this set. I gave it "average" for the bricks, the price (back then) and as an all in all conclusion. KimT

Ahh. I misunderstood You then.

Talking about the fighter tank is ok. Talking about not being able to buy it yet and rooting for other members to "tap" on a yay-site is not ok. You continuing to discuss this is not ok. So that's it - end of discussion "off-topic" and now we're all back "on-topic". As far as I can see, we've gotten just about all the sets from the 2008 wave at this point. (Except for the fighter tank not being available in the US yet and vice versa on other sets around the world) Perhaps we'll finally get an X-MAS calendar for us SW fans this year. EDIT: Ooops I forgot the 8028, 8029 and 8031...Anybody has any news on them? Or are they actually 2009 sets?
-
Ahem! Please get back on topic guys

The video shots give a real good image of how the bricks are made and packed. I've had the luck of getting a factory tour before the "Inside Tour" program. (Yes I got it for free). And it's an awesome ride through the inner sanctums of TLG. There's nothing like standing inside the warehouse and seeing those robots stove away boxes randomly. - There's no system. - It's based on chaos, only the computer knows where every box is put. The guy showing us around said that the computer broke down once and it took several days and proffesional climbers to remake the list of all the boxes. Truly amazing - thanks for sharing this.

What New Themes or Sets would you like TLG to make?
KimT replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm sure this is the wrong forum to joke...this is for letting ambassadors know what we'd like. Not to post spammy for fun comments. Keep the ideas and thoughts sober, please. -
Thanks for the review. I've added it to the index and added a poll in which members can vote their opinion on this set. I think this is a very good set. I like the colours and the very playable feature that allows the wings to lock in attack formation. Now all I need is to buy this baby. Edit: I gave it an Above Average rating, since it's well designed, looks sturdy and fits the SW theme sets perfectly.

The internet broke? That's bad news to all. Did You push this? I am eagerly awaiting the rest. KimT
