I think the combination of sets is meant to be Original Trilogy. It would have been really odd to have a Clone Walker Battle Pack there since Vader is a little later than that, wouldn't it?

Set#: 66308 Set Name: Star Wars Superpack 3in1 Parts: Contains 8017, 7668 & 7667 Minifigs: 9 (Darth Vader, 4x Rebel Trooper, Shadow Trooper & 3x Stormtrooper) Release: 2009 (In Scandinavia) Price: 399,- DKr Links: My Brickshelf - Not on bricklink, peeron & brickset. Review of the sets included: 8017 Darth Vader's Tie Anniversary set Review 2 Review 3 Review 4 7667 Imperial Dropship Review 2 7668 Rebel Scout Speeder Review 2 Suddenly "out of the blue", TLG treated us with this co-pack of 3 Star Wars sets. I belive the idea was to make an "OT" Superpack with Stormies, Rebels and the improved Vader's Tie in black and grey. I still haven't figured out why they put the Shadow Trooper in the Imperial Battle Pack as it is from the Expanded Universe. The Box: A really nice box design that shows very well what you're getting. A "10 Year Anniversary"-badge, good large pics of the figs included and the sets as well. All is nicely incorporated on the box graphics. And using the 8017 Vader's Tie as background is really nice. Only thing I would have liked them to have added is the classic Star Wars logo with the minifigs. The rear of the box shows the different features in Vader's Tie and again the included sets are shown, along with this "funny" little notive One the side of the box, we're shown the "Full Monty" of minifigs included, scaled 1:1 Sadly this is one of those "tear-the-box-open" boxes. And opening it will definately scar the box. The box leaves a lot of space for hot air and could certainly have been a lot smaller. Especially when considering that the 8017 Vader's Tie is included as polybags. Also I think they should have added the Chrome Vader to make this a really special Superpack The Verdict:Would I have bought this if I wasn't a collector? No I don't think so. I might have if I hadn't already bought the sets before. But the price is not "reduced" enough if this was intended to be a good bargain. Also the lack of something "special" also makes it a little "meh!" Still I'd like to see more of these in the future, even though it smells a little like they did this to get rid of the battlepacks. As for the set reviews, I suggest you follow the links below and grade/discuss/rate them individually.

REVIEW Castle 7097 - Trolls' Mountain Fortress
KimT replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is way better than I had hoped for. I am getting at least one of these Thanks for the elaborate review -
Bland? (my translator says boring) Bleak? (my translator says gloomy) Could be that Google translator is a little off... Otherwise you need to get back to school.

Sorry, but I chose Endor and Hoth instead. My bad

You're allowed all the pics you want. All that is required picture-wise is the 5 specific pictures = front-top-rear-left and right.

He's done the same way the EB Stormtroopers were done. Clean the back, add decal solution, add decal, add decal-setting-solution, dry, gloss, dry, gloss, dry, gloss, dry and you're good to go... or something like that. Why?

Thank you for this elaborate and great review I saw this in Legoland and decided to buy it later. Your review makes me kinda regret that I didn't buy it.

Thanks for reviewing this, and yeah they ought to use a smaller box. I've frontpaged this, to give it the same highlight as the other new sets.

Thanks for reviewing this great set. I am sure the two I have will suit the newly acquired Echo Base very well. I'll make sure to index this within a few days.

Custom Black sandtrooper pauldron
KimT replied to General Armendariz's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Only one line to read at the beginning of the topic and you've missed it. He didn't cut the holes, he cut the pauldron. -
As funny as this may be, I have difficulties seeing how it's related to LEGO Star Wars and therefore I'll move it to the Community - continue the fun there. You've challenged a lot of people now Natman... I hope you're up for it

This "Your momma"-smackdown is going straight to community. Let's see who wins! The Tusken Raiders or The Minifig Heads

KimT replied to Toth's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Wow These are some great customized minifigs you've done They look scaringly realistic.. I'll move this to the Minifig Customization Workshop for further feedback and appreciation. And welcome to Eurobricks too. -
I will close this for now and then merge in into the proper topic later. EDIT: And merged it is!

No worries. I am sure the pull-back engine can't even pull those big ones. So I brought others as well

Meeeeeow! All those of you who said this fig was bad - shame on you! This is the most awesome Castle fig in a long time. I am soo getting a lot of this one. Imagine an army of golden knights- what could possibly go wrong with that? I can't wait to get my hands on this new wave and hearing that it's been spotted in stores is really good (and bad for my wallet) Thanks for sharing those links and pictures.

Bricklink.com or eBay.com should have a great deal of orcs and trolls to be bought. They're expensive though, at least compared to the set prices. I guess we'll have to wait and cross our fingers for serious battle packs with some trolls and a few orcs. (They've done something similar to both the City theme and Star Wars theme - why not the Castle theme? )
