  1. Good point...
  2. Fair point Klaus. I hope we'll get a Cloud City, but I kinda doubt that they'll whip our wallets that hard. We've already gotten the AT-OT and Dropship, now a Tantive IV plus a wave of rather largish sets like Endor and the Venator. I see no reason for another huge set this season, perhaps next year. The Tantive IV is a classic set and the essence of Star Wars since it's the first thing we ever saw of this amazing universe. It's iconic and slamming a Cloud City on top of the cake would simply overdo it, wouldn't it?
  3. I agree. The video is a bit dissapointing. Let me say this though: It had been running constanly for 3 days and was rather worn down. I was there a day earlier to shoot the video, but my camera ran out of power and at that time the model was working perfectly. So it's a streak of bad luck that the video depicts this model as not working. The colour sensor was an awesome addition to the NXT.
  4. That's the same as the price for us in Denmark. The Venator is around the same value as 2 xbox 360 games.
  5. Nope Not until they solve the problem
  6. Great pics Commander Rob, but could you please resize the next ones you post? They're a little too big for my connection (and crappy laptop )
  7. In time I'll have a few for contests here and then you might 'earn' one
  8. Ah yes, that's the way I'd like TLG to have done their version of this craft.
  9. I'll ship this off to the MCW for further comments on the customization of pauldrons. I think it's had it's share of comments here in the Star Wars Forum. Next step would be to design your very own pauldrons.
  10. Yes exactly. Thanks for that perfect explanation that escaped me. You sound exactly like the factory worker that eplained this to me at some point in Billund.
  11. This really is a great topic. Thanks for putting this question on collecting up for discussion. I collect, and there's not many sets that I need to have a complete Star Wars collection (5 or 6 sets at the most). I have been thinking about this issue more than once over the past years, especially when the Clone Wars landed just when I was relieved to see no more EU sets (no offense meant). I think I've reached a point where I can't back down. I've collected almost anything for 10 years and stopping now would only render my collection incomplete. I've bought so many not-really-good SW sets over the years that the extra expense needed to buy the lesser wanted sets in the future is quite low. - I doubt the license will continue for another 10 years - which is a different discussion. Do as you see fit and handle your collection as you see fit. Just remember that when you've decided to either sell or stop buying sets, then there's no way back. Unless you're a really rich guy
  12. Because your currency is dropping fast compared to the Danish Krone and Euro. I guess I'll have to go power shopping for LEGO in the UK soon. You're still cheaper than here in Denmark, at least if prices could be directly translated into other currencies - which they can't (I know )
  13. I have a gut feeling about the Tantive IV. Not sure about the Cloud City set, sounds more like wishful thinking to me, but I have been wrong once or twice in the past decade.
  14. Remember to read the rules carefully and add what's needed for this to comply with the contest rules. Good entry so far
  15. Wow Great addition to the alphabetical MOC's you're doing. Keep up the good work.
  16. These are really nice customs, but as all non-brick built minifigs posted here, they belong in the Minifig Customization Workshop. I'll move them there and leave the link open until it's out-paged. Thanks for sharing your work with us
  17. Nice decals and great picture setup. I'll move this to the MCW for more feedback, especially because the custom nerds live there
  18. Thanks for that great addition to this review Everyone's entitled to their opinion on any given set and those who think this is a great set are more than welcome to think so. I am sorry, but your rudeness is against you. Goodbye. Poll added. Nicely put and I completely agree.
  19. Are you using the trans 1x1 round plates? They're made from a different plastic than the regular colours and they're much harder to connect and take apart. Which should allow a construction such as this to work almost 99% of the time. (I know this because I've been pestering all the official LEGO Reps I've ever met to make a trans-clear minifig for the masses, but it's not doable because of the harder plastic mix used for trans colours ).
  20. Bricks has finished his review on the 8039 Venator.Click the picture to see and comment on the review. For more review on Star Wars sets click >here<

Hmmm... That's odd. Why 2 different shop at home pictures...? Good point Skipper
  22. Hopefully it will be and if you guys keep posting stuff like this, then I am certain that it will. We've just recently split Technic from Bionicle and i think this forum is going in a great direction.
  23. I've merge the Scout trooper topic with the "Show your army" topic. Now instead of numbers, do show your armies. We'd rather have pics and anyone can say "I've got a zillion Chrome Vaders", show us the pics that you do Happy show-off people
  24. It's the 18-21st of June BrickWorld link
