  1. Posts like that make me question your maturity and it's a prime example of what we don't really appreciate around here. Consider yourself warned Ralph Wiggum!
  2. Isn't that the case for most LEGO sets? When you break them down, then they're nothing special? Just bricks and parts?
  3. I actually have two "en-route" and as soon as they arrive, I'll make sure to post the numbers here. Stay cool, have some pie And please don't 'bump' a topic that's only been around for a day or so
  4. I know and I figured you'd do a version with an 8x8 base.
  5. It's fine. This is just a raffle, the vignette part is just to keep you guys ion your toes A little work is required to get a raffle ticket and your vignette looks good enough to me. Some flash marks, but it really doesn't matter in a contest such as this one - there's not going to be a vote - only a draw between the entered vignettes.
  6. Anyone may enter this raffle. (Except staff of course). Just post an 8x8 vignette with the title "Mmmmmmm Chroooome" and you're in. It doesn't matter if you like Star Wars, have a chrome Vader or eat marshmellows regularily. Just post your goddam entry
  7. I'll allow a little overhang - I just don't want an 8x8 base with a 100x100 model on top of it. If you know what I mean? All entries so far are looking good. Oh yeah and it's just one entry per member of course. Oky Wan Kenobi - say hello to the Diagonah from me
  8. Did I say it had to be Star Wars related? Read the simple rules No it doesn't have to be SW related. All it needs is what I stated in the raffle post.
  9. Ask away dear members of Eurobricks.
  10. Chrome Darth Vader Minifig Want to win one? Click here to find out how.
  11. Since you're all waiting for the next 'real' Star Wars contest, I decided to throw in a little intermezzo and this is it. Win A Chrome Darth Vader! What you need to do to participate is: Make a vignette (8x8 studs and no overhang) with the title :"Mmmmm Chrooooome!" Post a picture of it here in this topic. And I'll draw when there's enough entries - yes I decide when that is and how many that is Questions? Click HERE "Whatcha waitin' for?!"
  12. Fair enough... Though I don't see the book as useless information.
  13. I don't think CGH made a mistake in closing that topic. I (as he) have seen many topic on such matters as this and at some point it gets to you. The tiresomeness of getting slapped in the face once in a while, is annoying at best... Who are we to request mature behaviour? How dare we ask for such things? And who do we think we are, laying down the lawn on what's mature and what's not mature? I don't have the answers, but what I do know is that we've been asked to moderate Eurobricks and we try our best. The members of the staff almost always agree on what we want and what we don't want - so to cut it short. If people really disagree with us that much, then there's plenty of other sites to join and enjoy our mutual hobby of LEGO on. We're not forcing anyone to be members here. - This is not meant as an elitist comment, I am just trying to make you all understand how I feel. Perhaps I should merge this with the closed topic and let the discussion move on for a while. Rest assured that if it gets ugly in any way, I'll shove the lot of you into the trash compactor and fry your megablocks (that was intended as a joke )
  14. Discussions on what the moderators should or shouldn't do are always hot I think that it's close to impossible to satisfy everyone on a website with so many members. Everyone have their own opinion on how to do stuff and we (the staff) can't do anything without stepping on some members toes. To keep it short and simple: We try to keep out l337 and chat messages without wrecking the fun. It's a hard balance, I'd agree to that and we might even have put the hammer down on topics that didn't truly deserve it. We try our best to keep this place in good shape. We do not expect everyone to be fluent writers of English - that would be insane. What we do expect is a little effort in trying from our members. "OMFG diZ rocks!!1111!!1" Isn't really welcome here, no matter how old you are. Now can we get back to playing with LEGO and focus on that? (I just bought Zesk - don't tell anyone ) Also it felt good reading that (now closed) topic. It seems a lot of members agree with how we do things - thank you for your support
  15. You too what? You like having useless information or do you want the book?
  16. Medium-Low what? Could you be a little more specific as to what you mean?
  17. What would be cool? Having an EB Guild? Not allowing kids? Please specify!
  18. Really? Where did you hear that? Please post a link or a scan or something to back that up, because having pre-rendered chat only would be a little strange.
  19. Our member Darth Lion has found this little treat for us (Picture is link to high resolution version) Click HERE to discuss
  20. This has been added to the first post: (Picture is link to high resolution version) Great find and thanks for sharing.
  21. Happy Birthday - I hope it's a blast and if the weather is as good where you are as where I am then I am sure it'll be a great day. I'll give you a call buddy.

  23. I'll just post comparison pics before commenting: A truly great conversion. I've always thought that Playmobil had some cool buildings with great designs and you've succeeded in transforming them into LEGO to perfection. Good job
