Thanks for the feedback! Yup, it's been done before. http://www.brickstud.com/Creations/History/Nepal.html There were plenty in the Hailfire droid set - I actually had some extras from it after putting them on the cart wheels.

"Discontentment manifests itself in innovation, After cutting animals all day long. The schizoid taxidermist has a new creation, Experiments with human preserva-tion." After visiting my local natural history museum, I felt moved to build this parlor. Many thanks.

Sounds like a good time to me. And that link to my PotC Captain's Quarters really brings back memories! (I'm not so sure they're good ones! )

For C-C's Job Mullers Contest; Perched on top of Oak Rock, the precarious rock formation named due to its vague resemblance to the mighty oak tree, our dear electrician is hard at work... trying to harness electricity.... his attemtps have failed thus far. Zap! Many thanks.

I'd get out of Mr. McGregor's garden if I were him! Many thanks!

Just a couple of stylized faun statues. Many thanks.

"A hungry fox boldly walks in through a hen house door, Too bad for him, he met a hen who stood at 6'4"! He won't forget the lickin' he got from that big chicken, Now he buys his poultry from the store!" Infinite brownie points from me if you know where that corny little joke is from (without searching for it).... my brownie points aren't worth anything, but I'll be impressed! Thanks!

Some classic roman mythology in honor of St. Valetine's Day! Many thanks.

Mystery Manor - Chapter Five

I would like to pick up the captain's wheel and pretend to be a scurvy seadog. Hey, look over there - those four candles are lit... that means, umm... that means.... someone's been up here recently? It must have been the murderer! -

I'd like to check the body for any more valuables.. perhaps he's got some sort of wallet on him. -
Alright then, how would you guys make it shorter? Provide some constructive feedback.

Not in Roman mythology. The "diapered" Cupid is a common sterotype of the god used today.

I have to echo eti- these were not made by LEGO - they would never do this, anyway. If they had made these, it would send a terrible message to children; as they are fairly inappropriate. -
Audio Animatronic - Progress Updated Feb 09
SirNadroj posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hmmm... this has to be my first topic in this subforum. Wierd! Where do I begin? Some of you may have seen one of my pics on flickr, inquiring on NXT sound capabilities (I got my answer). I mentioned briefly plans on building a 1:1 scale humanoid audio animatronic using only official LEGO elements, and have to basis of the movements created using NXT technologies. Obviously the movements are going to be very, very simple. I've got tons and tons of inspiration for this project; most notably the Timekeeper figure from (Disney) Tomorrowland's "The Timekeeper" attraction, and (my favorite) S.I.R. - the robot from the original preshow of (Disney) Tomorrowland's Alien Encounter - (now "Stitch's Great Escape). So I plan on having those as a basis of the design. (here are some links in case you want to check them out: )I want to start with the head, and if that comes out well, I'll move on to a body - probably one moving arm and one stationary one. But I really haven't thought about that much yet. I've got the designs for the mechanisms all in my head. Here are some WIP shots: And a test video: Thanks! -
Thanks, JimButcher. If you knew that without searching for it, then I am very impressed. If you searched for it, then you're a cheat!

Thanks guys! If I can get some pneumatic parts; I'm well on my way to getting my paws on some, so it's likely they will be animated (only the elbow joint would move the arms up and down). -
I probably wouldn't pneed the manometer, so if I do end up buying the set, I'll let you know. Maybe we can work something out.
-
I'm looking for a set of pneumatic parts; most specifically, an airtank. The other parts are a little cheaper on bricklink. However, a full set of whatever I need would be nice. Willing to buy or trade. (I plan on using them with this: http://flickr.com/photos/sirnadroj/3254219740/ ) Thanks!

Pnow, if I need two cylinders (one per arm), I should buy two cylinders, tubing and T-sections, switch and two pumps? Is that correct? (I'm so chock full of questions because this won't be dirt cheap). Or this is a great buy for me? http://www.legoeducation.com/store/detail....amp;t=0&l=0 That's what I'm leaning toward at this point...

Ah, so a compressor can take the place of an air tank? That sounds like a plan...
