  1. Love this thread... Okay, I have about $100USD burning a hole in my pocket, so WHICH SET SHOULD I BUY?

(Cue the game show music, lol)

    1. 60076 City Demolition Site

    2. 60096 City Deep Sea Operation Base

    3. 70413 Pirates The Brick Bounty

    4. 76035 DC Super Heroes JokerLand

    5. Or do I put the money into savings and get a deal on 60052 (the blue) Cargo Train

I'm leaning towards the pirate ship, which would be my second... But open to suggestions

  2. Marvel promoting it's overly widespread, diluted brand has affected the quality of this theme. There, I said it.

We've gotten figs such as Nova, Luke Cage, a really lame Rhino, even the Iron Spider, now characters like Hyperion that were just lame studio competition pieces at best....and all the while there are beloved, time-treasured characters that continue to be neglected. Where's the rest of the X-Men? Where's Daredevil? The Punisher? Where's even a standalone Thing if you won't give us the FF set we all really want??!

AAAARGGHHHH I JUST WANT MY COLOSSUS MINIFIG WHY WON'T YOU DELIVER MARVEL AND LEGO???!!!!!

  3. In the video, they also show a wide shot at one point of the huge display builds of a Diver & shark. Just above the display you can see all of the Undersea Explorer sets, including the big sub sitting on a rotating platform to the right. REALLY looking forward to seeing expanded views of that set-- looks like a really big, solid rig. Exciting!

  4. Short of Mr. gold, I haven't missed a CMF yet.... And I certainly don't see that trend ending here. Every series leak we have hordes of adult collectors who abhor the new kids toys for being... Too kiddish. Like every series, not every fig is a home run, and so often the reason why a fig fails is because of economical (ie parts rehashing) decisions. So Lego may very well know what's coming from the AFOL community and move forward regardless.

In all, I'm plenty happy with what we've seen here, and I applaud TLG for doing something different with a line in its 14th (technically 16th) incarnation. Sure, the Frankenstein rocker is a bit of a reach, and the scientist mold might be the single worst new piece in the entire CMF theme, but 2 out of 16 is certainly forgiveable in my opinion. Between Monster Fighters, the Haunted House, & previous CMFs I have a tub devoted solely to the Monster faction, and I look forward to adding to it.

I also find it curious that so many readers have begged for more zombies, and now that they are confirmed, they're being condemned as rehashes? I love the Pirate Zombie and the Cheerleader as well, and the businessman zombie might be the only army builder of the series.

Curious to see if we also get an alternate Headless Horseman different from the upcoming Scooby Doo incarnation in this series....

  5. New capes will certainly make it easier to store the Superhero figs. Keep mine in those plastic shoe box-sized totes, and in the Hero bin all of the figs are carefully laid upside down to preserve the capes. These sound a bit easier to manage, at least if they're anything like the Hun Warrior's in Series 13.

  6. For my fellow impatient Americans, the US Lego Shop site is listing the following sets as "Coming Soon On 1 Dec 2014:"

    60065 ATV Patrol

    60075 Excavator and Truck

    60082 Dune Buggy Trailer

    60083 Snowplow Truck

Have to also think that if the official site's rolling them out this week, then TRU won't be far behind.

  7. Does it show where all the stickers go on the Milano?

No. As you can see above, it just sort alludes to the idea that you can dress it up with them. I think it's meant to be a bit more random,

The diagram at the top of the pic is all they give you-- on the back of it is the instructions for Rocket & his gun.

  8. Hey guys, don't know if it's been announced before or not, but I'm sitting here with a few copies of the 5002145 Rocket Raccoon polybag, a Toys R Us exclusive. My local store (USA) put a huge supply out early, and apparently they weren't even ringing up as available in the system yet. So, I don't know if they're part of a special deal or not, but I can confirm that they are to be held off U.S. shelves UNTIL NOVEMBER 16th. Obviously they pulled the whole batch after letting me buy them. So again, to review:The ROCKET RACCOON POLYBAG will sell in US stores for $4.99 each starting no earlier than NOVEMBER 16thAlso, for hose of you that have seen the image before, you might have wondered what the sticker sheet in the pic was about. Apparently it's a HUGE sticker sheet (41 separate decals) to be added to the Milano set, creating further technical detail and battle damage:

I'm sure I could be wrong, but I don't ever remember Lego putting a sticker sheet in one set intended for another. I don't see myself using them, as tempting as that "I Love the 80s" one might be...

  9. Of course they're just prelim pics, but... The Swamp Police are just... Weird. It's not a bad idea, I suppose, but the crook hovels are really the only things I like about the theme.

Snow plow is a given, and I like a lot of the smaller vehicle driven sets. But it's kind of funny that the best CITY set are actually coming out of the Creator line-- the Flower Shop & Cafe, and the new Grocery & Toy Shop are among the best City sets what they want, and seemingly the only that are giving fans more of what they want, civilian structures.

  10. Personally the last thing I want is another Batmobile... I recently put together the entire rebooted DC theme minus Arkham & the UCS Tumbler to re-organize the sets for storage (I know I know, I should've taken pics), and it was kind of ridiculous how many vehicles and ordnance The Batman has in Lego form. Land, sea, and air, you name it, he's got multiple options-- he's an army waiting to happen.

So yes, I'm thrilled about the JL-themed sets and all of the new possibilities they introduce. Just no more Batmobiles... Unless, of course, it's the '66 Model. THAT'S ENTIRELY DIFFERENT :)
