    2013 Galaxy Squad

I personally modded my own Vaporizer to have a little dissection table and some tools. It's a tight fit but increases the playability in my eyes. If this set ever has a third wave, I predict a $120 Red-Squad juggernaut just to appease all the billy-no-mates people.

    Ninjago and Star Wars

I've always had an idea in the back of my head to make sci-fi "Ninjago" moc's featuring the multicolored classic space astronauts. I still need red and black ones though.

New Chinese Knock off LEGO company

Anybody remember the ninjago episode where the ninja are replaced by evil body doubles? That was my first thought upon reading this thread.

    2013 Galaxy Squad

Welp. If this theme is true, it would destroy almost any chance of the Space Marines cuusoo project getting approved (conflicts with TLG's own themes, etc.) Perhaps it was inspired by it? (ie red marines, "colorful" vehicles, insectoid ugokin)

    Ninjago 2013

Here's the most interesting quote for me: Like Avatar? With lego versions of those awesome choppers and mechs?

    Ninjago 2013

Dear mother of god...I don't post here often, and while Ninjago has never really been my favorite theme, the fact that there is a possibility of it being replaced by TMNT is horrifying to me. At least when I see Ninjago I know that it is a deep storyline made with TLG's own blood, sweat, and tears in a world where almost half of its themes are licensed. If we accept TLG's new corporate strategy of conflict and storylines then in my opinion Ninjago epitomizes how to do it right (not to mention it had some well-executed sets for what they were). Aside from ranting and onto constructive discussion- indeed Legends of Chima sounds the most likely, likely because it's similar to Ninjago and could possibly ride off of its success. Moreover, if it indeed has an Oriental theme to it (pretty arbitrary, my second best guess is South-American) then maybe they could be encouraging kiddies to integrate the Ninjago and Chima sets? I remembered TLG combined the canons for Atlantis, Alien Conquest, and Pharoah's Quest so there is precedent. EDIT: The TMNT article that mentioned a "reliable source" said a release date of January 2013. So if it is to be believed, and since we know we have one more wave of Ninjago, then we know it's not "replacing" the theme.

    Speedorz 2013?

Indeed it does. For some reason the very first thing I thought when I saw the name speedorz was a futuristic racing theme with hover-cars. I think X-tra weird characterz are generally added to sci-fi names. Obviously this probably should only be taken as speculation, for all we know it could be a theme about Mr. Khil and Boxxy.

TAGS! who wants TAGS and Titles!?!

Pfffttt-the other themes don't stand a chance. Sci-fi is clearly the best. I could probably cook something up before the end of August. I think it would be incredibly cool if a bunch of sci-fi fans teamed up and each made entries resembling all the different space themes (Classic-space friends, Blacktron friends, etc.)

    2011 Alien Conquest

Why don't you look around here some more? Although I do agree Alien Conquest just isn't being MOCed as much as some other themes around here.

    Maersk Spaceliner

“...We will work with a growing array of private companies competing to make getting to space easier and more affordable...” -President Obama, 2011 Hello consumers! Today Maersk Shipping unveils its first spaceship service! Want to send Granny a card at Proxima Centauri or your girlfriend some flowers at Sirius? Our company will guarantee delivery for a small price of an arm and a leg $500, lower than our competitors! There may be others to try to imitate us, but you can find the true Maersk ships through their signature blue color used only by us! A typical scene at a space station, here is one of our ships unloading its cargo. We take pride in our work and ensure everything is delivered safely, speedily, and expensively cheaply as possible! --------------- So I broke down and bought one of those grab bags at the store. Much to my pleasant surprise the majority of the pieces were in much needed white in all sorts of rare forms, and there was a stock of 10-15 Maersk blue pieces from the train. I immediately set to work to make something with the bag’s pieces and came up with this nifty fighter, which only has 10-odd or less pieces not from the bag in it, and I inadvertently made it a cargo ship, much like the real Maersk corporation.
  16. My car got hit by UFO fire and so I had to abandon it in the Mojave desert. I thought I was a goner until I saw figures in the distance, an American and two blue soldiers. I rushed towards them expecting help, until I could see them up close. At that point, they all look dismayed, guns pointing at me. The agent started to speak, “Excuse me, civilian, but what are you doing in the middle of the Mojave Desert in the evening? Lost, you say. Well, my two friends here know what to do with curious eyes who spy on our technology. But since you say you’re lost, we’ll give you some mercy...Wait, troops, he saw it!” --------------- “Well, these copters are already in service throughout the world, fighting off the menaces from space! Taste the sweet burn of exploded missiles! Bwahahaha! Oh, wait, I'm sorry. You know too much now. Joe, open fire on the guy.” --------------- This isn’t the first ADU-themed MOC I’ve done and I may post the earlier one later if this one does well. I decided that the Jet-Copter wasn’t for me (no offense, nabii!) and so designed a VTOL craft a bit more suited to my personal tastes. Although he evens the score because I couldn’t get a prison pod inside the aircraft without significantly fattening the body.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone! The color scheme was the main thing I was going for so it's great to hear I got it right.

    A Nice Day to Golf...

Unfortunately, those aliens moved too fast . Before I could tell the public, there were already sightings scattered throughout the world of these devious monsters. Among the sightings was a couple on a golf outing. It was all well, according to them until they reached hole 6, where they heard rustling of trees and some mechanical whirring... ...and a war machine of these aliens tore itself through the tree cover and revealed itself to the witnesses. They luckily brought a camera and snapped a few pictures of the beast. Its armament was unlike any of Earth’s, with a steady, even green glow and a single blue “eye”. Whether this is a weapon, a sensor, or both is not known. It was accompanied by a couple other alien troopers that looked different from the one we captured, perhaps signifying a caste system or the variation of physical traits to different roles. As the invasion has begun, there will soon be no way the governments of the world can cover it up. It is time for me to unveil my findings and start peddling my services to the nations of the world... --------------------------------------------------- The golf course without the alien invaders. This was originally intended to be a separate moc in the town forum, but I watched the series premiere of Falling Skies right after I made the course, so... The little “pond” deserves another picture, I think. The camera couldn’t capture it, but in person you can see all the fish and rocks I stuffed beneath the “water”.

    A Nice Day to Golf...

Thanks for all the nice comments guys! Certainly encourages me to build and post more MOCs on here. And yes, Legocrazy81, the 40k dreadnought was my inspiration for the robot.

    Looking for a picture

Nice combination of hairpieces and excellent shot, it really gives them even more personality. Although now it'll look like I ripped off of his rifle design now though. As I look at the pic though, I keep thinking: that Alien Conquest theme looks like it was created to be a mafia game.
  21. Really? My local store had a bunch of leftovers after May 4 and were selling them each for 10 dollars. I'm not sure if they're still doing that though...

    2011 Alien Conquest

I just bought the mothership and built it. The sound brick was not just annoying, but pretty pointless too so I looted a light brick from somewhere and replaced the sound with it. Unfortunately, when I spin it the light flashes instead of staying a steady beam, but if I set the ring in exactly the right place the light continuously beams down. (Sorry for the crap pic. Some training in the art of low-light photographs, I need)

    Lost and Found...

When I got called up by some of my troops for a “UFO”, I knew that it had come, like a mailed package sitting on my doorstep. Proof that I wasn't a crackpot conspiracist, proof to all the investors that my company had purpose. The metallic remains stopped smoking and whoever the pilot was he certainly had suffered injuries elsewhere for nearly half his body was prosthetics. His brain was large, larger than any I have seen before, and the saucer was in relatively good condition. It was all good until the pesky media showed up, so I had my mercenaries swat the gnats away and destroy the evidence, just to ensure that I would be the first one to tell the public about this. My eyes feasted upon the sight before me, the proof that I had been waiting for... A Flying Saucer form an advanced alien civilization had crashed, proof of my genius, but the herald of our downfall... Basically, I was just trying out my terrain skills because I wanted to try to half-bury an object into the ground and also because I wanted to make some sort of “first contact” kind of thing. Not really an MOC nor worthy of a topic, but I couldn’t find an appropriate thread to hijack so it gets its own thread. This was inspired by a video they used to have on the Alien Conquest page of the reporter with the crashed saucer, but it got taken down and replaced by the one with the alien commander in it.

    Review: 7065 Alien Mothership

Nice review, Final Exit! It's nice to have a closer look at it now. I came up with an elaborate back story for the whole theme, a lot better than TLG's simplistic, childish one . I read about a scientific theory somewhere involving a ring of plasma and the creation of an anti-gravity field, which would serve as the UFO's propulsion. The one in the abduction set are escort ships, and the mothership is a "bomber" class ship, which requires a much bigger ring to keep stable while firing its superweapon, which would be the equivalent of a city-destroying a-bomb. Also, TLG's product description includes "Attack civilians" directly in its play features list. That's among the chief clauses of the Geneva Conventions, is TLG teaching kids to violate international law now?
