  1. My Guess is that we have a least a Year, If not longer. The Imperial Flag Ship is NOT part of the Pirate Line. The pirate sets are in 6000's this set is in the 10000's and part of an exclussive Line (not sure if that is the offical name) Just like the Medieval Market Village 10193

Thats what I was hoping. I wanted to get at least three more by around June so, if the ship is around for a year I will be able to do that.

  2. I decided to post another topic on this to get one of the moderators attention. I really wanted to have the sails posted in the index so that other people could use them and I have posted them at least three times on other topics over the last two days and they haven't been indexed. So, would one of the moderators please be kind enough to index them for everybody. Pleeeease :pir-sweet: .

P.S. Are there any copyright laws that would prevent me from posting them. I just wanted to know because I know that this website has a reputation to keep up with Lego and I don't think we want to make them :pir-skull: mad. :pir-skull: :pir-classic:

  3. As you are using a PDF, it should just be a matter of printing at 100%.

I am sorry for the confusion. I already posted the sails on bricklink. If you go to one of the last posts in the Sail library you will find them. I have also posted links to the sails on this topic. I believe they are on post #4. Enjoy. :pir-classic:

  4. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened again with Castle in 2010.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to have a 1 or 2 year line so long as the line is filled with quality sets. If anything, the Fantasy line burned out after the second year. This year's sets seemed more like filler than anything else. Pirate fans also had an amazing year considering the main line and the Imperial Flag Ship all came within the span of twelve months. LEGO's seeming ability to balance freshness with nostalgia has really impressed me in recent years.

I agree with you 100%. It is right in the middle of the fantasy theme and then all of a sudden we find out about this new theme. I think that the current castle sets will be out for a little while and then we will see some more sets. I am not minding this too much though as the sets that Lego has been doing in the last few years have been quite good so, I doubt that Lego will be going through another dark age for a while at least.

  5. I like it. I too have a limited selection of parts so I know how that goes. You did a really nice job. I like how you used the steering wheel for a dart board. One of these days I will rebuild my :pir-skull: pirate cave :pir-skull: . Again, you did a really nice job. :pir-classic:

  6. That is one sick orphanage. :pir-skull: I mean look at those kids. They look terrified. :pir-oh: Although looking at the people in charge I really can't blame them. :pir-devil: Is this a state-approved orphanage? Ok, Ill quite. :pir-tongue: Actually I like all of the personality that you put into the characters. They look really nice. Can't wait to see it finnished. :pir-classic:

  7. Yeah I think that we will see the return of Indiana Jones to the Lego line. They have done only half of the tombs and stuff. They haven't made a set depicting the catacombs in italy or a set depicting the grail temple. They also haven't made a set of the map room and they should make a bigger, more detailed set of the temple of doom. The mining cart thing just doesn't satisfy. :classic:

  8. The pics disappeared as Evil Willy's Photobucket account has been inactive for 90 days, although they're still present on his account.

I saved them to the Classic-Pirates photobucket, so now they're restored :pir-wink:

Thank you very much. This will come in very useful for my project so, your efforts are much appreciated. :pir-classic:

  9. I have to say I really like this ship. It looks really good. The red covers for the gunports agains the white looks really nice and I like the stern. Overall, you did a really nice job. :pir-classic:

  10. Nice review! How did you get it so early? Esp being in Australia!

Can you please do me a favor and measure the W x H x D of the ship? As Id like to make a perspex box for it to be stored once it's made.

    Thanks

It gives the deminsions of the set at Lego.com and the width I am guessing is about 10 inches with the yards but, just to be safe I would make the box about a foot. Hope this helps. :pir-classic:

  11. 2 for my fleet and 10 for ebay in 2011 (or later)

You see im very greatful there are collectors/fans of lego because i wouldnt have any of the ships i currently own if they didnt exist, I was either too young to look after my original ship(s) properly, or i didnt have the pocket money/opportunity to buy them in the first place. So now as an adult i can indulge a little, having said that im no where near up to the same scale as some of the members here, there are some amazing collections - i went though a couple of MOC threads .... wow :pir-cry_happy:

still i have my own pirate flagship im improving/working on :pir-classic:

Same here. I just came out of my dark age and I ma having to do all kinds of repairs on my pirate ships. I have some minor yellowing on the skull eyes schooner and I have some other pirate sets with broken pieces. Thankfully I came out of my dark age in time to indulge in the Imperial Flagship. I am hoping I will be able to get a total of 5-6 for my fleet. :pir-sweet: I am wondering though when the ship will be discontinued? Does anybody know when Lego plans to discontinue the new Imperial Flagship? :pir-sceptic:

  12. I would think that they would. I mean your talking about the biggest Lego place in the US. I was wondering though when are they going to expire the Imperial Flagship? I wanted to get several of them and I am only able to get so many so fast. Do any of you have any imformation in regards to when they will expire this beautiful ship? :pir-sceptic:

  13. I don't know what the old one looks like. In the Lego store though, they have Pirates now in the build-a-fig area. The hats have the printing too. If anyone has a comparason picture of the old verse new, I'd be interested in seeing it.

Here is a picture of the old one. It looks much better in my opinon and I would love the switch out the new with the old. Thankfully they kept the new jolly roger design out of the Imperial Flagship. :pir-classic:

  14. Why is it that I always see pictures disappear on flickr. I would love to use this guide to make custom sails for my new Imperial Flagship and I would love to make some sails for some frigates I plan to build in the future.

  15. Where is that guide for sizing the sails. I would like to add that link to my post along with the sails so that people who don't know how to size them can learn how to do so. :pir-classic:

  16. I wonder if we will see more of the trolls and fantasy themed stuff. I wonder if Lego just decided to change the name from castle to Kingdoms because they were creating so many different factions and I wonder if Lego is just throwing in another human faction because a lot of the collectors were complaining that there was just one human faction when the 2007 castle theme premiered. So we may see more fantasy elements and factions in the near future. :classic:

  17. Amazing collection! If I am right, your only missing 2 ships! The new flagship is the center piece of it all. :pir-cry_happy:

You mean two really bad ships the RBR and the CBC :pir-skull: .

Really nice collection. If by any chance you are really missing one of the two ships you don't have (RBR) I would be happy to trade. :pir-grin: Just kidding.
