The Imperial Flagship - How long 'til it's gone?
Jack Bricker replied to Broken Bricks's topic in LEGO Pirates
If those websites are accurate why not post those websites for the rest of us? And if that information is just rumors I wish you would keep them to yourself. I am not a Moderator but, I don't like it when people start posting unsubstantiated information about when a set will be discontinued. It scares the vassels and sometimes it scares me. -
I would like it if the moderators would please lock this thread. I think that the idea of serial killers in Lego form is very disturbing and I don't think that we even need to contemplate it.

Review: 7620 Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase
Jack Bricker replied to Big Cam's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nice Review. I also own this set and I was really impressed with the bikes and the face for Henry jones Sr. I just with they would make one of sean connery without the glasses so that I could have King Arthur figure. Oh, well. Again really nice review. -
REVIEW: Indiana Jones 7199 The Temple of Doom
Jack Bricker replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
Great Review. I wasn't going to get this set but, I have changed my mind since seeing your review. Again I am very impressed and I can't wait to build it. I will rate it after I get it. -
Well, I agree with you there. I would like to see more mounted knights but, I will also be happy with the dismounted knights especially since we are getting more great helms.
-
I do hope they come out in march. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting. I am a Big Prince of Persia fan and I am also a Big Lego fan so this is a dream come true. I just can't wait any longer. I am really looking forward to the battle of almut that set looks so cool.
-
You could have dismounted knights with swords. That is what I am doing with my crownies and they are so cool.
-
Yeah I know it isn't speculation now but, when I made that post it was. Does anybody have an idea when in April they will release it. I have been saving and waiting hard to get them and I would like to know when my suffering and torment will be over.
-
Well I am pretty happy with the new line. I don't care about the old weapons. The last time Lego came out with new swords they look horrible so I will just be happy with the old ones. As far as the great helm is concerned I am a little disappointed with it. I would have like to see two eye slits not just one be slit for both eyes. The brickforge helm is so much more realistic than this one is. That being said I am still very happy with the new line and I look forward to buying them come August.

Does anybody know the exact day in April that the Prince of Persia Sets will be released?
-
I am really excited about the new castle line and that new minifigure is great. I don't think the face is too overused. Remember that Lego has always been using generic faces and to many different faces would be hard to produce and would probably force Lego to lower their quality control standards in order to keep the same profit. I remember when Mega Bloks came out with their new microfigure for the pirates line and they were all different and beautifully sculpted until Mega Bloks finally lowered their quality control again and everything they produced after that was garbage.

I don't have a problem with people voicing their opinions but, it seems that people like to start a whining frenzy and just keep on complaining without even giving any good reasons why they don't like the line. I am just trying to keep the thread somewhat positive so that we get more good sets in the future and so that we can all enjoy all these great sets. I don't think that there is anything that I am doing wrong here.

Could we all stop complaining about a kid's toy. These are not exclusive sets for adults they are toys for both kids and adult fans and considering that they have added great helms at all is a nice touch. I personally love these new sets. They are leaps and bounds ahead of the sets that came out in the 90s. I mean compare those sets to these new ones and you didn't have the gold color, the nicer shade of grey, a king figure, or great helms. All you had was black and grey. I think that Lego has really been trying hard to please the castle fans with these new sets and the medieval village and by responding with just a bunch of complaining of miniscule things and then saying that you won't buy these sets is just going to make Lego go back to its dark age again with the knights kingdom where you joust on wooden horses with wheels. And besides I don't want to have to get on this forum and see these wonderful new sets and all I hear is "the great helm looks awful, I don't like the new princess, I hate the prison tower because it doesn't have furniture, etc....". If you really don't like the sets why comment?

Well I have to say that I am very pleased with the new colors and the overall appearance. They look absolutly fabulous and I just can't wait to get them.

So, when will the prince of persia sets be released? I thought it might be in April but, that is pure speculation. Has anybody heard anything from Lego?
-
Well, it wasn't just a weight issue. Chain mail breathes pretty well depending on how its made but, plate armor does not breathe well at all and because of that and its weight a knight needed to be mounted in order to fight for long periods of time. If the knight dressed in plate armor was just using his arms on horse back he can fight for quite a while without getting fatigued but, if he is having to run walking and manuver on the ground using his legs as well as his arms he can get tired really quickly. That being said I kind of like dismounted knights in chain mail so I guess I don't mind that set not having two horses.

I would like to see a black hull and I would really like to see a new stern piece. Using the same bow pieces for the stern just doesn't look very realistic to me.

The Imperial Flagship - How long 'til it's gone?
Jack Bricker replied to Broken Bricks's topic in LEGO Pirates
Yeah, I think that we will see it for at least another year. It has only been out for a month and I think that we will continue to see it in stores for a long time. Another thing to consider is that there is that this set has great army building potential which gives another reason why Lego should keep it out for a little longer. Good luck saving up for it. -
Better pictures of buildings in my harbour
Jack Bricker replied to Blackheart Brit's topic in Pirate MOCs
Really nice. I like these pictures much better because I can see more detail. I especially like the tavern. P.S. You should put in a governers mansion in the background. -
Put on the mermaid from the BBB instead. I would also like to suggest that you should integrate the captains cabin into the hull of the ship by removing the galley and lowering it into the hull. That way the upper decks wouldn't look so choppy. You could do this by moving the galley to the brig and lowering the captains cabin into the gun deck. After that you could eliminate one window on the side and put an extra gun port there. You could alse squeeze in a third window on the back window gallery and then you would have a frigate. I tried it and it works quite well.

I think that I will wait for the new musket and bayonet from brickarms but, I do like the look with the cutless. Perhapes if you cut off the handguard to could have a pretty good looking bayonet.
-
Nice MOC. I like the pirate who is starting a fire in the house and the soldier on the bridge is very funny.
-
Nice army. I would build one my self but, I don't know what I would do with them. I think that I will build a redcoat fleet instead with the Imperial Flagship. I would also like to build a medieval army using the newer crownies.

Yeah I know that I should probably change the name baby I should do Queen Bricks Revenge. Anyway since I have been on this website I have been seeing more and more people like Captain Green Hair make these awsome frigates so I decided to finally make one of my own. I had purchased two of the 10210 Imperial Flagship and I decided to combine them and make a frigate out of them. So here are some of the pictures of the ship in progress. Any advice or constructive criticism would be appreciated. I am pretty sure I have the mast placement correct and it is going to have about 28-32 guns so that is about the right amount of cannons. I don't know how I will do all of the rigging but I am going to add tile and I am going to fully rig it. I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions about what materials to use for the sails. I will be deeplinking the pictures on Brickshelf so it may be a day or two before they are made public. Enjoy. Here is an over view of the ship. Here is the stern. Here is the bow which is yet unchanged from the kit. And here is a shot showing the mast placement.

Why is Lego using Japanese swords for Prince of Persia? That doesn't make any sense. Why can't they make another scimitar that will fit in the sheeths on the Prince's back? Does anybody know why Lego did this? I know that Lego doesn't like to make more parts but, that is rediculous. P.S. Thanks for the great pictures YG_49.
