Size-wise, ejector is about 3/4 the size of an Agori or Av-toran and nowhere near as bulky (Which is saying something, as Agori are very thin.) And it's not just Transformers. Look at Star Wars. I remember back in the 90's when I could get a Star Wars figure for 5 dollars. Now they cost 8, same as an Agori or a Transformers scout. Sure, molds have become more complex and detailed and articulation has risen. But the size and number of accessories has generally stayed the same. In fact, many Clone Wars figures are smaller than most older figures and have returned to the 90's, articulation wise. And Hasbro reuses molds plenty. How many times have you seen the ROTS clone trooper mold in the last 4 years? Or that Bespin Luke Skywalker? In comparison with these brands, Lego really gives you the most bang for your buck, regardless of variety between sets.

What would you rather have for 8 dollars? This: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Protoss-...ctory/blaze.jpg Or this tiny little thing: http://media.photobucket.com/image/Ejector...jector/ej19.jpg It's not about price-to-part ratio but rather price-to-plastic ratio. In this case, the HF Heroes are definitely worth 8 dollars. That's a lot of plastic compared to the 8 dollar Ejector pictured above.

The way people complain about the price of the buildable figure market astounds me. I always compare it to Transformers. Now, I love Transformers, and I've bought many over the years. But 13 dollars for one? When I can get a buildable figure that's 8-9 inches tall and can be disasembled and used to create my own figures, vehicles? I think 13 dollars is perfectly acceptable. I simply think we got lucky with the price of older figures.

I have to say, this line looks quite promising. Not only are we given an awesome new trailer with top-notch CGI and narration, but also great (At least in my opinion) new sets and an interesting, if not especially deep story. And from what I can deduce, I also think this is one of the greatest decisions TLG has ever made in terms of story+figures. I'm assuming that the story revolves around Villains traveling through time and causing all sorts of mayhem for the time stream. These Heroes are then built according to the mission, and dispatched through time and space to combat the threat, and restore the time stream to it's correct state. Which means TLG can make all kinds of different Heroes ands Villains, and place them in various settings, and make it all work. Hell, they could even do a year where the Villains win, and the Heroes have to combat a changed present as well as working to fix the past! All in all, Hero Factory seems like it's going to be a pretty great line to me. The only thing I really can complain about is those specialized pieces. I mean, it's going to be rather hard to find a way to use that leg armor or those weapon arms.
