    I wish Kevin could confirm which minifigs we get somehow in Erebor set.

    I think Kev would tell us if he had the Erebor set. :wink:

    Pretty good! Unlike others I didn't think it had a slow beginning. My biggest problem of the film was the decision to kill off Bryan Cranston's character 30 minutes into the film! Not good because his son had all the personality of a wet sponge. Regardless, the big G was fantastic, right up there with Smaug. It was exhilarating to see him fire his atomic breath!

    So, I hope they don't screw up the next one. Gareth Edwards should definitely return. I hope we see some classic monsters, but above all, better human characters!

    Maybe I'll see X-men next week.

    For those who have not read the book and do not wish to be spoiled, or want to go into the film not knowing about any changes to the plot, (in the unlikely event this turns out to be true) turn away now.

    Here is what I believe is the root article. (of nightmares) http://www.ecumenica...ve-armies-24895 According to this story, Thorin will remain alive at the end of film 3. Which would be ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL. There have been some recent petitions by 'fans' to Peter to remove his death from the film. But I would NEVER expect such a massive storyline tweak to become reality.

    What's next, Smaug in the BOFA?

    You could put it that way. Personally I never had a problem with Ward's character, that's why I think it's a shame he's been thrown away so quickly. Now that I've thought about it though I hope he doesn't pop up again until at least Season 3. Next season would be too soon for me.

    It's good to see Triplett will (?) act as his replacement though.

    Well, took me a while but I finally caught up on AOS.

    I'm a bit disappointed about Ward, hopefully he'll get some kind of redemption next season. Meanwhile Skye remains my least favorite character in the series...

    The finale was good, it had it's moments but I can't help feeling a tad disappointed. All those past episodes building up to something big, the deliver just didn't cut it for me. I never felt like the whole Coulson thing was ever wrapped up completely. I was really expecting it to be resolved.

    Patton Oswalt was funny though, I like to think we'll be seeing more of him in the MCU.

    Don't you hate when you have been working on a BIG project for months, intending to post it on Ideas only to find out months later that someone has already posted a nearly identical project in terms of design and playability, at a smaller and more affordable size?? If I posted my version now it would look like I lifted features directly from this other creator's project.

    I just lost a little motivation today.

    If you look at the flickr page of the person who initially found that you can see he drew up his own custom Amazing Spider-Man 2 Green Goblin and the design he drew up is the exact same one on that figure. I don't think that is a coincidence :wink:

    Yep, definitely fake. The face has the exact same lines.

    There's printing on the tips of the feet, lego would never do that for a most likely one time minifig that's releasing months after the movie has came out.

    War machine was a one time minifig. And Iron Patriot. And heartbreaker.

    I put Ori and Gloin because I needed two random dwarves. Maybe Dori and Oin instead? As for Fili and Kili I see Erebor as the only set they can be put in if Lake town is filled up. Yes the set can be based on events from DOS, but with BOFA figures. I believe in the movie all the dwarves will end up at Erebor eventually so It makes sense to me.

    My expectations:

    79015 Dol Guldur: Elrond, Galadriel, Witch-king. Small bit of ruined structure with dumb play feature. (I predict Witch-king catapult)

    79016 Lake-town Defense: Bard (blue coat), Bain (same torso as game, new face, long legs, and brown Luke Skywalker hair), Alfrid (same as game), Bolg. (with molded head) A tower about as tall as the main building in LTC with spring loaded Windlance.

    79017 Battle of Dale: Dain, Thranduil in armor, Iron hill dwarf x2, Armored elf x2, Armored Orc x2, and one Lake Town soldier. The main set is two buildings the size of the LTC one, with a wall collapsing feature. Also included are a Reddish brown Warg and an Eagle.

    79018 Erebor: Bilbo (Lake town with Mithril shirt), And armored versions of Thorin, Kili, Fili, Balin, Dwalin, Bofur, Ori, and Gloin. And of course Smaug. With lots of gold, the king's throne with arkenstone, and part of the forges.

    I'm thinking of the Goblin King..

    Well Goblin king is in the same theme, not to mention a less expensive set.

    Those were really helpful. I feel like the LEGO version's head is a little off? It seems to rounded and the horn "crown" is completely different (as stated by deskp multiple times).

    Yeah some angles look good, others not. I honestly think he would look better in reddish brown, with dark brown detailing. His neck is another thing that bothers me, It's just too thin and not long enough. When you think about it all of his proportions are wrong, especially the head.

    It's hard to tell just how good he will look until we see him in the plastic though. (Here's hoping for an SDCC reveal!)

    I wonder if its a good idea to sell my Hungarian Horntail now. Surely the advent of Smaug will lead to a severe deflation in prices for dragons as he will be very detailled and cheap to have,

    Or will it be the other way around? Will people suddenly look for more dragons to accompany their smaugs?

    Will I be rich?!

    Why is it you say cheap? I'd expect Smaug to be quite expensive on the market. Wouldn't people want to take advantage of the fact that he comes in a $130 set?
