  1. I am just testing a little tool I am writing which automatically creates forum bb code for any brickshelf gallery, ready to be inserted. I found it quite annoying that I had to do all the copy and paste just to show pix of a moc. It is basically a wrapper around the internet explorer which parses the html document to find links and images ....

I don't have webspace, but if somebody could host the program, I would be happy to make it usable by other people.

Cool little application. How much does the installation occupy?

  2. This is a post card, I saw while browsing BrickLink: Here

And it appears, it has a mighty pirate ship on it!

What are your thoughts on this? It looks like a mighty fine ship.

I would say that isn't a recent Ad. Simple because the colors that the builder used. Tan and brown don't appear.. (colors from the end of nineties)

  3. And there's also Rupi who has made some interesting Pirate MOCs, apparently he's friends with Baixinho so maybe you know him too Mr Agnelo.

Yes *sweet*, both came to my home last month *sweet*.

To ImperialScouts: We are planning an event to June or July, after this in Coimbra, we will try to inform you!

  4. Unfortunately the majority of users at Eurobricks don't speak Portuguese and therefore will not be able to understand the information contained on that webpage.

However, from what I gather its an exhibition on the 24th of March featuring a range of LEGO themes ranging from Pirates to City and Technic to MindStorms. Participants can display as many creations as they like but they need to let the organisers know how much space they will require by the 9th of March. As an added bonus there will be security and you can even get an exclusive T shirt and there will even be refreshments!

It would be best however if we could get someone fluent in Portuguese to confirm that.

The new event's webpage is this: http://coimbra0937.miniancora.com

I think that the refreshments (little gifts?) are only to kids that visit the event!

The other informations are correct, but at this moment we are full of lego creations :).

Agnelo is organizing this, so he have the info about all MOCs that will be there. But me and my wife (T

  5. The news don't say nothing about no Portuguese forces being there either - I really gotta get better news coverage!

Last year one of the points is a dispute between both forces... :)

Yes, I'm quite partial to the white and yellow colour scheme myself, shall your next fort be using this colour scheme?

Yes, i'm thinking in use yellow. I think is more beautiful and i more easy to play with sets and other pirates creations!

Okay, that's quite bright, but not as bright as LEGO white is it?

    In a really sunny day:

White isn't the right color. Maybe tan. I don't know. But almost every people that see the Tower would said that it is white :). Like me :)

  6. LBaixinho, are you apart of PLUG? I think I saw that, by your folder, you are.

I left PLUG last year (June), and now i'm helping on create another community (Comunidade 0937). For now we only have a newsgroup and a wiki (http://forum0937.miniancora.com and http://wiki0937.miniancora.com). We will make a meeting next 24th March and Me and Juan Macias are planning a small Pirate layout. I'll talk with Rupi to add his Pirate MOCs too :)

  7. East Timor is always in the news in Australia because troops are always being send there to restore order, but never once does the news once mention the East Timorees speak Portuguese. Useless news reports.

    LOL

I think that portuguese and australian are the only forces there!

    Anyway... Back to the MOCing...

Have you ever considered building a Portuguese fort?

Yeps. I lived on a smalltown that have two small coast forts ("Forte do C

  8. I shall take a look at this forum right away!

As a matter of fact I'm curious to know more about the role the Portuguese played in colonisation of the New World and have been wondering where I could find more information on the subject.

So there you can hear both sides. We have some brazilian members :)

  9. (...)

I know what you mean, I've been meaning to make a MOC for ages but I use all my free time working on improving this forum. Maybe tomorrow! But in the meantime I shall look forward to seeing your next creation.

:), i understand your work here. I participate/moderate/animate on a portuguese lego forum too. Is the F

  10. Thanks for the words :)

What happen to the black/dark orange dock? Good question... destroyed on a trip :). When i have time i'll make other :)

The angled sides and the front side is attached with jumpers (plate 1 x 2 with on stud) in certain points. This is the reason 'cause this sides are a little upper. I have to buy some blue tiles to fill the gaps :)

  11. Hi

In this image you can see that i use a hinge plate to connect/open both sides. On the front side i use a plate to close the construction. (not a perfect solution... :) )

About playmobil pic, you can see in this thread. off course i only pick the idea. Kill the lighthouse and the double door at the first floor and put all more lego like.

About the stairs, Phred is right :)

Thanks for all... with this comments maybe i'll make something new... the worst part is my free time :(

But you can find more portuguese pirate creations here, by Rupi, a friend. I think that wasn't a topic talking about it.

  12. Hi,

    Thanks for the comments :).

i think that the best translation is "Small outpost for rum commerce".

The origin of this MOC is a pic of a new playmobil set that Juan Macias show me. Off course i transform almost everything :)!

    Aswering some questions...

The stairs go nowhere because on the pic the fort is open. With the MOC closed the stairs have a way ;)

Is controled by the govs, so the soldiers guard it, and some civils work.

Right, the double door is for cargo :)

  13. Hi, sorry for enter on the discussion later. Only today a friend told me about this topic :)

My Torre de Belem is more older than the Bob Carney version. I started work on 2003, and the pic you see is about an 2004 version. I try to build a minifig scale of the tower and not to do a scaled real version like Bob did. So the final result is that Bob' building is far better and real :)

I have a little report of the various versions i made on my blog blog (portuguese).

And this is a pic of my lastest version:

    Thanks for the comments.

    Sorry my bad english :)

    Link with lot of pics.
