I wish they had used the tree with the snow on the top half instead of the regular trees: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3471pb01

    [Review] 7189-1 Mill Village Raid

Thanks for the review. It looks like a great set. I hope the animals become available through LUGBULK. Weathervane is usually spelled as one word - though your functional description of "wind compass" is quite accurate.

    2011 Kingdoms + US prices

I'll be getting multiples of all of these... and I hope the chickens and goats are available in next year's Pick-A-Brick or Factory selections. I'll use them in the farm on the BAYLUG/BAYLTC layout. Keep up the good work, designers!!

    MOC: Kinkaku-ji

Did you create this in LDraw/MLCad as well as in real bricks? If you did, I would buy the file to study so I can create one It's fantastic.

  11. Bricks by the Bay 2011 For Immediate Release January 12, 2011 Contact: Paul Sinasohn Program Chair singlow @ gmail .com Bricks by the Bay Call For Presentations Bricks By The Bay 2011 is looking for any talks, roundtables, and special activities you would like to see at the Con this year. Going to and putting on sessions are one of the things that makes a Lego convention fun. Past talks have included publishing LEGO-related books, Using RCX bricks to control motorized models, using LEGO Mindstorms in the classroom, among many others. Roundtables, or moderated discussions, have included Planning for the NMRA convention, discussions about publishing BrickJournal, and creating LEGO sculptures. Possible ideas include: • Steampunk LEGO Creations • An Introduction to LDraw and related programs • An Introduction to Lego Digital Designer • Packing models for shipping without breaking • De-yellowing Bricks • Lego Plans on eReaders and the iPad • LEGO at Burning Man • Building Big – skyscrapers and other large buildings • Bricklink — An Average Seller’s Perspective • FIRST LEGO League • Collecting Rare Elements • LEGO Pirates Roundtable • Steam Locomotive Design Techniques • SNOT techniques • Half-Plate offsets • LEGO Universe Roundtable • Brickwiki – what is it and how you can participate • NMRA / NTS 2011 Roundtable • Microscale building • Sorting & Storing Roundtable All we need for more talks, roundtables, and activities are ideas and people to run with them. Projectors and a computer will be available (although bringing your own laptop ensures compatibility). Anyone who would like to run a presentation or activity should e-mail proposals or questions to Paul Sinasohn (singlow AT gmail DOT com---please mention Bricks By The Bay in the subject). If possible, please include a possible title, brief description for the event program, and any time constraints or facility requirements. Events are typically scheduled to run up to sixty minutes but can be scheduled for more or less time. I need proposals by February 6 to have time to prepare the schedule and the program. Earlier is better. All presenters must register for the full convention. Bricks by the Bay is an annual Lego hobbyist convention and exposition in the Dan Francisco Bay Area. Bricks by the Bay 2011 will take place March 25 – 27, 2011, in the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara. For more information or to register visit www .bricksbythebay .com BBtB 2011 CFP.doc

    Decal Wish List

Hi.... I'm looking for a decal of a Tower Warder (Yeoman of the Guard) from the Tower of London for a project related to GIlbert & Sullivan in LEGO. The best example I've found is here: http://www.oldukphotos.com/graphics/England%20Photos/London,%20Yeoman%20of%20the%20Guard.jpg This guy has sergeant's stripes on his arm, which I need, but I also need one without those stripes. The torso decal would be form the belt up. I plan on using plain red legs for the minifig, but if someone has an interest in doing the panniers below the belt, I would put them on the legs. Thanks, and if compensation is required, I could figure something out. Paul Sinasohn BAYLUG singlow at gmail dot com
