  1. Has anyone seen THIS picture of the Pitstop? It looks as if someone already has the box, which is an odd way for TLG to present it (portrait). I like the way that a big deal is made of 4 minifigs! when there STILL hasn't been another set with Frenzy in it!
  2. Ah, halfpenguinhalflego. You finally realised that there's so much more opportunity for posts, topics etc here than brickset I would reveal my brickset user name, but I'll leave that for you to guess What was your favourite theme again?
  3. Ha! Even the dark ages of Lego fans cannot fight their lust for Lego Hola, seria muy divertido y interesante aqui! (sorry, I don't have the upside down '!' ) I like the fact that you like Star Wars. Star Wars, Castle and Space are my favourites
  4. I use Brickset all the time for my sets, because all the sets I own are on their database. Some new additions to the site also include which minifigures and pieces you own, after a summary of all the sets. To find the pieces in a particular set, I usually wait until the instructions are cached.
  5. I would agree that the sets have got better over time, but my favourite is still Ninja! Those nice ninja costumes, flying parachute things and Japanese Castle hideouts are my favourite ever subtheme of the Castle line. I hope a similar line will be released in thje next few years, but I doubt it I still think, however that the yellow castle is THE iconic Castle set and should always be in the future. It's a great article Jimbutcher, and interesting to read as well I would hope that Space in general is also an evergreen theme
  6. What did you actually have to 'speed build' for this contest? Was it a small set, or minifigs, or both, or something else? The magnet does remind me of one of the Lego conventions recently where VIPs got chrome Vaders in small plastic packages. The symbol on the back of the VIP box looked similar to these magnets. These magnets probably have a value of slightly less than the chrome Vaders in the Uk. (No, I'm not sure what that is because I already have a chrome Vader )
  7. lol! That's amazing how it works like that with the ultrasonic sensor. just the position of the bar and an enter key - no strings. Sort of reminds me of a Guitar Hero guitar Now nxtprograms, play me Dragonforce on that guitar! ( )
  8. I actually quite liked COD5 W@W because it was based on World War 2. The prospect of GUESSING when wars will happen in real life is a bit depressing for me. However, I probably will buy COD6 because I never played COD4 (remember it was released in November 2008, when I also bought Motorstorm Pacific Rift, LittleBig Planet and a new controller) One thing I think anyone who has played on COD5 would agree with me in would be that... There mustn't ever be an MP40 ever again in the series! When I'm playing online, someone shoots me with an MP40 with two bullets on my foot and I die I expect (modern) weapons might fare better - I'm not an expert on the newest firearms. Can't wait til it comes out
  9. I just thought of something - last time I went to the Space area at Disneyland, the space shop had Meg****ks on foir sale (Pirates of the Caribbean, for some reason - I would've thought they would be on sale elsewhere) Anyway, perhaps now that Lego have the Disney license I can buy Lego at Disneyland Paris! (I won't be buying any Duplo though )
  10. I just saw the Mummy: TOTDE at home on (my) big screen. The film's so funny, but not as classic as The Mummy (1) ...on this Saturday 20th with a mate. I don't know whether you're doing the same. The film looks amazing - I hope it can live up to the first film (it certainly can't improve )
  11. Does this also count S@H, because I'm miles and miles and miles away from any Lego stores.
  12. Don't forget these Lego toys are aimed usually at 7-14 year olds. How can the blood, guts and gore of Gears of War be in a licensed theme (it's an 18 game) Also I don't think that license would be as well known as Disney, Halo, Indiana Jones etc. (However, in my dream world I would quite likea theme like that ) I think Disney license suggestions are in another thread, so I won't go into much detail. I would like to see Pirates of the Caribbean theme though! (don't worry pirate lovers, they'll still have good designs/parts)
  13. I was looking on the frontpage suggestion topic and it would seem out suggestions ARE being answered! 'Table top games series' - well, we know for sure we have that now! Aquanauts and Aquasharks - there is a rumour of a remake for 2010 January.
  14. Nice presentational vids. I can't stop myself from going on Star Tours at least once every time I go to Disneyland Paris. By the way, I prefer Space Mountain: Mission 2
  15. I wish we had 100% pure information that they are outside USA, but we don't at the moment. I hope this isn't another 'USA is the biggest and most competitive Lego market in the world' scenario again, because everyone should be able to have it. That chrome stormtrooper is sooo shiny
  16. I didn't, but the people who did probably aren't Star Wars fans, I would expect. I still think this figure is not as good as the iconic chrome Vader though
  17. As for the City in 2010, lest we not forget the set which needed to be voted for. The choices were: Town Centre Area Monorail System/station Truck Stop Garage I don't really want the truck stop because we;ve just got a massive garage for City in Summer 2009. I don't mind what wins the vote eventually, because I would love a city centre, but a monorail... As a sidenote, I think Lego should create some sort of shopping centre or shopping area, because we don't have one.
  18. Well, I'm very pleased with the response for this set - I feel lucky to own it at the moment. 24 people (the highest amount) voted this set 5/5 on how good it was - now that's saying something It would seem so far that this is the most popular and 'would buy' Space Police III set. I don't have it at the moment and probably won't for quite a while, but I hope to see a Galactic Enforcer review soon on EB
  19. He He... I like the fact that the box is arted 10-28 years old. Can't have it if you are 29. I would kill for a bike piece like that
  20. Ah... Price of Persia parts will be like an extended Indy market set come true (hopefully, I don't know the film that well).
  21. The pics have now been added to the first post review for your viewing pleasure (not that underneath they look that good)
  22. I own exactly 700 minifigs at the moment (judging by my Brickset account). 100 of them are Battle droid variants! I also have 50695 pieces, but that's another thread waiting to happen
  23. There are 10 gold bars in total for this set, so it's great if you want gold for its price. The MOD is SO much better than the original truck, and I have the set, but I never thought to remove the backseat chair and railing on the side for extra storage and proper doors. At least now you can actually fit the minifigs in the truck!
  24. I suppose I can, as soon as I have time. I'll need to take, upload and deeplink the pics. I could imagine the Skull Twins are like marmite. (And, luckily, I love marmite sandwiches )
