Either way, all I was trying to say is that PS3 have made money elsewhere from just selling the consoles. The game disks, hardware, additional content etc. should all have profit margins for Sony.

The money you pay to your ISP (internet service provider) goes to PSN because that's where you used your connection. I saw the vid for firmware 3.00, and the new general status bar in the top right of the screen looks really useful. I also like the fact that you'll be able to use new avatars AND buy avatars which your friends don't have.

I've never been there unfortunately, but I reckon the Florida park is definately better for variety of hotels, eating, relaxation and the 'out-of-park' experience. Although Florida is far bigger than Paris, I wouldn't have thought particular rides (such as Aerosmith and Space Mountain) could be any better in Florida than they are in Paris. At least I know if I was in Florida and I got wet it probably wouldn't freeze you to death if you went there in the Spring, Summer, or Autumn. Btw the car stunt show is one of the best non-ride parts of the park! It's the same stunt team as a lot of famous films, such as James Bond films.

They won't be with all the extra stuff from their store, and people's internet connection payments since 2006! I'm interested in firmware 3.00, but not much else atm. I might get MW2 when it comes out (massively priced)

No, it's never happened with any droids I've bought ever since the droids Episode 3 battlepack in 2007. However, some of my old droids (such as original Episode I set droids) do have problems with too big hinges. It doesn't matter though, because I've got the newest MTT so I have loads of droids!

I hope you can complete it because I rwally want to see how it turns out. Hopefully you either already have or will buy some heiroglyphic pillar/wall pieces. That'll certainly take up a lot of space ( and some Prince of Persia pieces might bolster it )

Nice deal. There hasn't been Lego sets in Uk McDonalds or Burger King for quite some time - they are almosat always based off films. There could be some useful pieces there - especially if you already have a lot of Tiny Turbos for customisation. However, some of those pieces just seem too big and are like 2 or 3 pieces joined together.

By the look of that trailer, there's barely any focus on aliens at all - just on riding motorbikes and Kevin's car. BTW though - in real life Kevin's car is pretty friggin sweet

I don't think people might be dissmissing the theme because of a prelim unfinished set image, but because I would have thought this Sand Cutter set would not be the best in the theme. On the set list, the other names look far more promising.

I have 2 chrome figs so I didn't enter the raffle. 1 fig is in an old shiny and clean emptied ipod case for display purposes (and to worship ) 1 fig is still in its bag and I plan to use it in a diorama when more OT applicable sets come out.

Ah, ImperialShadows! Thanks for reinforcing that idea. I couldn't care less about whether the themes are better after seeing the argument thousands of times, but I was interested to see how the Disney Cars line turns out. I still want to buy a small one for my 4 year old cousin!

Welcome to EB Matt Dawson (You should create a thread in the 'hello... my name is' section to introduce yourself) ...And yes, 9V or similar train sets would probably be the only few sets I would buy for the playability in the City line.

3D glasses? Maybe TLG are remembering the startegy for Alpha Team's Arctic theme (red lenses for revealing secret patterns)

I think we can be very philosophical about this and say Megabloks would not be without Lego, but Lego would not be without Megabloks. That's easy as far as I am concerned - both benefit each other - unless of course both companies have exactly the same sets with different logos on in the same aisle ( at my local TRU Megabloks are about 50-75 feet down the aisle from Lego).

If this topic isn't going to be shut down after 3 pages then the title should be changed to something like: 'Clash of Lego and Megabloks Licensing' instead of 'Disney's Cars Theme pic' I don't mind Megabloks really, because it wouldn't have even been made WITHOUT Lego. It's similar to Coca Cola and Pepsi, Pepsi was after Coca Cola, and could not be without it. Honestly, if you like Megabloks a lot just use a dedicated forum. On the subject of the license clash, it's slightly silly to have Megabloks 'Duplo' and Lego Duplo sets of the same theme. There may be some confusion on Ebay/advert mags etc.

Wow! Eddie Murphy, Tom Cruise, Robin Williams and Bruce Willis. Is this celebrity showing scheme something new for Disney, because I've never seen ANY before in the Studios.
-
Argh! I'm actually itching for a shutdown before this turns into a Megabloks major rant We hate Megabloks here in general. It's simple, and only because we Lego instead. Major hiccup on the topic front.

Some of these translations look very promising, and I'm interested to see there are also more Power Miners in 2010 as well. I'll save my opinions for Atlantis for the other official thread though.
-
Glad I'm not the only one I'm sure that TLG will do better, but it's not as if I usually buy Duplo. It needs lots of playability to merit buying for younger relations as a present.

It would seem bizarre to have the Freeco speeder and no Phase 1 clones snowtrooper sets. we can only hope that the speeder includes extra snowtroopers from the Phase 1 in the Clone Wars, because that would be great. Now, who's willing to scan a trade catalogue

We can only hope that TLG do better and wipe this filth of the face of the earth Spyder!

There was an episode called 'Kevin's Big Score' where the RV played a huge part. It was used as a bargaining tool for Kevin to get Alien tech from some human sized rat person, but Kevin was left whilst the Rat-Guy got away in the truck, until he was caught again. I would say the RV is worth at least 50% of the plot of that episode. TLG couldn't miss out on an opportunmity like that.

Really? Before an epic fail shutdown... Megabloks' big block things look exactly like Duplo and I expected elements like that to be in the new theme. I searched for ages and just found the pic, because we are keen on seeing new 2010 pics. Maybe if crossovers like this are possible, we might see Pirates of the Caribbean in the future from Lego. But really, Megabloks sets already released, normal Cars licensed plastic playsets...What is TLG thinking?

I will wait to see how the airport and plane sets turn out, because if they aren't massive pieces, they might be good. On the other hand, Fire dept. has happened too often for me so I would only be interested in the piglet enclosure (just for piglets)

It looks to me as if the Atlanteans are guarding some sort of special coins/treasure. You can clearly see by the symbol on the box and the item the merman is holding that it is some sort of special treasure which the merpeople want to protect. I could be wrong though. The vehicle, as Etzel said, is 'hideous' and I certainly wouldn't buy this set unless it was £15 at the most. The massive wheels lok pretty ugly but some of the greebles look nice.
