In which country do you live? I live in Canada Which education did you choose, why? I have mostly been into building and making things hands on, right now at high school I'm taking as many tech classes as possible. Some of those include: Construction tech, grade 9 integrated tech (you do a bit of everything in that class), computer tech (animations all things alike) and In grade 10 I will probably take auto-body tech (cars) and a few others, I cant think of any right now though. Did someone force you to take this education? No, my parents have not forced me to take any education I don't like, they have said many times they support me in whatever I choose, I may join the Canadian reserves because I have always been into the military and technologies within it, which my parents also support me in. What expectations did your friends and/or family have about your education? About grades? I don't think my friends or family have expectations that I get the highest grades possible as long as I do as good as I can in each of my classes. I also feel they don't have huge expectations about my education as long as I enjoy what I am doing. Did the above somehow affected your education? I don't really think the above has effected my education because I am not very late into my education if you consider going to College or University. Hope that helped Christian

That's true. I saw it all - as did the ambassadors I was there with. Since I'm relatively new to this (and in talking with another friend from LOG who is a longtime AFOL) I've learned that many AFOLs are looking at new sets to see what pieces are 'new' or can be used differently. Some of the ambassadors I was there with expressed this sentiment as well. Is it common in the LEGO community to look at sets, not as the set but as pieces to be used elsewhere? actually its quite common..I am 14 so I'm hardly an AFOL maby I'm a TFOL (teenager fan of lego ;) ) but I look for parts in sets a lot not just for the set its self, I think a lot of other AFOLs on here to the exact same thing, hope that helped.

if you wanted to promote your website you could always go to your local toy stores that sell lego and talk to the manager or an employee and see if you could leave little buisness cards or somthing like that with the adress to your website and include that you sell older Lego sets such as pirates and space. Could just work out for ya.

Wrong part in 8421 technic mobile crane??
chewie replied to 5150 Lego's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
well, I'm not Gylman, however, I do have this set and I like it a lot, I also did find the boom crashing down quite annoying, so, with some extra pneumatic hosing, I connected the two open ends of the pistions to the switch, so now when I release it, it does not come crashing down, try it out for your self, it works fairly decent. -

hey, well, its just after Christmas and I think everyone had a great one, so why not come tell us what you guys got and what you guys did for Christmas! Well, let me start off, I got one of each of the My Own Train sets and two of the blue-log cart and the Small Brown train car and coal tender. And a 30gb ipod Video. I also went to my grandparents and saw my cousins who some of I don't see very often, so that was alot of fun, and other then that, I had an amazing Christmas...oh, I also got a book with fold-out pages, which you obviously fold out which shows US Military aircraft and helicopters and tells you about each seperate plane/helicopter. :-D

Thanks a lot, by the way, more pics are up, the folder should be public quite soon. :-D

I really like what Ickelpete said, look at what intrests you, for me, its WWII mocs, so I can look at picstures of a real WWII weapon pictures and re-create it with lego, so most definatly think about what intrests you, find pics of whatever that is and build away!

thanks everyone for the input, I was able to get the pics on brickshelf...sorry for the kind of double-posting, but I also though I'd let you guys know the pics are up now
