Astromech Workplace Contest: Winners Annnouncement!
purpleparadox replied to Erdbeereis's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Congratulations guys! Your entries were completely fantastic. Enjoy your prizes! And thus ends yet another successful Eurobricks contest... -
It absolutely thrills me when people go through with brick-building their LDD projects. So thank you! It looks great. I might want one of these for myself...
-
Great idea and fantastic execution! I love MOCs like this...power functions and System combined. Now I want to watch the video again!
-
I honestly do not know what to say. It's so beautiful!!! So much intricate detail. It seems real, and bursting with life! I'll need to look at it for hours to satisfy myself.

[LDD MOC] Mandalorian heavy fighter
purpleparadox replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I agree that it looks a lot like a B-Wing. An AWESOME B-Wing, that is! If there's any of your models that I want to own, it's this one. It looks great! -
Moai's their name, eh? I always called them "Tiki Heads". This looks absolutely fantastic! You nailed the design. Now I wish I had one!
-
Your Roadrunner looks fantastic. Extremely accurate. I could recognize him in an instant! I can remember sitting in front of the TV watching Looney Tunes...thanks for bringing back all those memories!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear K-Nut and CM4S...., Happy Birthday to you! Even more birthdays close to mine! I'm August 23rd...so it's still my B-Day here in Manitoba. Happy Birthdays all around!

What was the last movie you watched?
purpleparadox replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I just watched ParaNorman. I enjoyed the animation style, but I wouldn't want to see that in every movie. It gets...creepy, almost. The story was good, albeit with a few clichés. And some of the clichés were making fun of clichés! I could've done without some of the jokes in there, but it was funny. I guess I can't balance drama/action/comedy the way I like it, because it's a kid's movie. Overall pretty good. 8/10 -
Woah! Spectacular work! I can't pick a favourite part, so I'll just leave an all-encompassing comment: I love it all! They look modern, realistic, and very cleanly built. Beautiful job.
-
It definitely looks like a dark, depressing scene. Ruins, pain...that's what I see here. (Those are compliments by the way. You achieved what you were aiming for. ) I hope it has a happy ending.
-
Very nice entry! I like the minifig hands technique you used. It's one to keep note of. Good luck with the contest! Now I need to start building my entries...

Thanks for the info! I can't wait to play the game.

Minifigures Series 9 Guessing Game
purpleparadox replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
There was an Orient Expedition set with a Yeti. 7412 Yeti's Hideout. I like the Wampa better, though. -
Happy (belated) Birthday to you, Happy (belated) Birthday to you, Happy (belated) Birthday dear de-efffffffffff, Happy (belated) Birthday to you! Happy Birthday! My birthday is today, so it's a shame I just missed yours. I could've shared a B-Day with one of the best EB members!

It's gotta be great building practice to design a new MOC every day! I'm considering trying it too. This one is neat. It's reminiscent of the typical Jedi Starfighter design that you see in sets, but it's not an exact copy. I like the use of Sand Blue (?) on the bottom. I'd prefer a little bit on top as well, just to break up all that Light Gray, but maybe that's not the look you were going for.
-
Awesome mechs! I like them both, but Iron Man's is my favourite. Do you get frustrated building mechs like these? I've been working on one for Mr. Freeze for the past couple days...and it's difficult!

Celebrating the Reviewers Academy's Fourth Anniversary!
purpleparadox replied to JimBee's topic in Forum Information and Help
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear R-AAAAAAAAA, Happy Birthday to you! I really need to get working again on my second review... EDIT: Hey, just realized I share a birthday with the RA! Mine's on August 23rd as well! But the 23rd is tomorrow here in Canada. Right now it's only 6:30 PM. Still, I share the birthday! Woo! -
Stockholm 1890s - the Djurgården Bridge!
purpleparadox replied to Skrytsson's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Beautiful MOC. I love everything from the surface of the bridge, to the grass, to the water, to the railing, to the wagon, to the structure, to the sculptures, to the figure posing... I guess I just love it all! -
Yes! Yes! YES! You nailed Two-Face's head decal perfectly! I like it a lot. Awesome improvement. Oh by the way, it's great to see more decals from you. Catwoman looks fantastic (I mean that in the least perverted way possible ). Are you gonna do a face decal for her?

I forgot to clarify: I prefer 4866, but that's after making some modifications. For example, I added floors on each level. It's not right without floors!

'Stolen' LDD MOCs in the LEGO.com Star Wars Creations Page
purpleparadox replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is disgusting, wrong, and sad. It sickens me that some kid would just blatantly steal another builder's creations and post them as his own. Sure makes ya hesitant about sharing .lxf files. -
Sweet! That colourscheme is definitely great. I like the stairs/archway combination.

850425: Desk Business Card Holder
purpleparadox replied to xtremegoogler's topic in Special LEGO Themes
This looks like an awesome (and trés useful) set! I'll have to order one from S@H! -
I'm really loving this second batch of Centaurs. Your painting is, once again, perfect. And you seem to have a knack for making the best piece combinations! Let's see a war between your Dwarves and Centaurs.
