  1. Hi guys, I did a couple of searches for ironing and washing sails and got some useful information about ironing, but not washing them. Has anyone had any experience with either? I've got two or three sets of BSB sails that I need to work on and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! ~ M ~

  5. They look like this, though I believe they're a bronze color, not silver: http://www.google.com/m/search?site=images&gl=us&client=ms-android-verizon&source=mog&aq=f&oq=&aqi=-k0d0t0&fkt=2187&fsdt=23375&cqt=&rst=&htf=&his=&maction=&q=lego+troll+sword#i=1 Thanks!

How Many Minifigs do you own?

One BILLION mini figures! *da da da* ~Medievalego~
  7. Hi Guys, I'm listing some stuff for sale on eBay (evilbay?) ... and some of it looks (or did look) like it was going to go for cheap. I'm seriously not just trying to bump my sales, but I would rather someone from here got a good deal than some random eBayer (several of whom have recently and successfully scammed me out of stuff, for free, thanks to eBay's classically and carefully designed seller protection guidelines ... *ahem*). There are a number of Star Wars minifigs (many of which are ending today), but I'm going to be adding more over the next week, and there are some still running; like Darth Vader, Watto, the Emperor, etc. Thanks all! You can check out my listings here. Oh, and coincidentally, I might consider taking a fair offer and ending a listing early; never know. ~M~

    Legoman's Trade's list!

You're looking for pirates? Which? New / Old?

    Wooly Mammoth

The cloth is the troll loin cloth from Harry Potter, no? This is really amazing. I guess you must have been thinking about Woolly Mammoths being rendered in LEGO--I don't know how this design could spring to mind otherwise. I think it's one of the more realistically rendered LEGO animals I've seen, at least in minifigure scale. The proportions are great, as are the details. Very cool. Also, it's great to continue to watch your MOCs improve with time. ~M~

    Knight from Darksite

Wow, This is awesome. I think I like the lighting / staging / design almost as much as the creations--they really add to the feel of these pictures; and I mean the presiding sense of darkness. Some of the details and designs of the knights are pretty great too. I particularly like the one knight with the Brickarms helmet; though several of the others are great too. And, I hope you don't mind, but I might have to blatantly steal that chain design; it's just fantastic--and I'd been trying to replicate that motion for a troll diorama, but couldn't with the actual LEGO chain elements. Very nice. ~M~

    ARTICLE: BrickArms Part 1

Those as yet un-reviewed prototypes are Halo weapons, are they not? Is Brickarms going to be releasing Halo figures in conjuncture? Great review--very nice details. ~M~

    500th Post Moc!

I think that was a trick to mess up the plan to post the moc for the 100th ... or more appropriately: IT'S A TRAP!!! ~M~

Dark Age nearer than I think?

That is one of the best quotes ever. I always find it awkward (after having dropped the bricks) to bring one of said chicks to my place--have to try to hide all the bricks beforehand :) And mrchris, that's sad. ~M~

    The Last Stand

Very awesome ... love the large scale semi-destroyed buildings. Also, nice touch building the roads instead of just settling for base plate use. There are a lot of details to love here. ~M~

    One cabin, two captains.

Ha, well put marshal gershon. I especially like the floor and bed. Most of the furniture really; the piano and chair are also nicely done. ~M~

Do you think we'll get a Lego LotR or Lego Hobbit brand?

LOL. I did; which probably explains why I'm still waiting for LOTR LEGO to this day. Seriously though, the current fantasy line is not a poor substitute. ~M~

    Unbelieveably beautiful station.

And I give up. LOL. ~M~

    Were these real LEGO adverts?

Oh no ... Now Imperial LEGO Storm Troopers are going to be breaking down our doors, seizing our computers, and throwing us in LEGO Gitmo. Dang it. ~M~

    Were these real LEGO adverts?

AGREED! Also, I think these are hilarious ... and since the 'artist' doesn't seem to mind using LEGO's trademark, I'm sure they won't mind if I jack these for use on my facebook account! Facebook, away! ~M~

    Glowing Rock Monsters

That's pretty cool. I'd like to see someone do the same with a dwarven mining scene ... make some huge crystals and light them up. Could be cool. Could even include some rock monsters. ~M~

    Castle sets 2008/2009

The price of that chariot definitely seems way high, especially considering the price of the comparable and recent Dwarves' Mine Defender ($9.99, 86 pieces, 3 minifigs) ... so for an extra minifigure and 25% more pieces you double the price? That seems off to me. Of course, LEGO pricing rarely seems to make sense: consider the Castle Tic Tac Toe costs $14.99 and you get 10 armored knights ... then the battle backs cost $12.99 for half as many minifigs ... In terms of quality of these sets ... I mostly agree with comments that have been made; I would have liked to have seen a different helmet or crown for the 'troll king.' I have yet to see one army on the internet that consists of divisions or squads of guys wearing crowns. Not only this, but it's not even a new design for the completely new faction; it's just a new color--seems kind of lazy to me. I say this being aware that new molds are one of the big costs for LEGO, but seeing as they still seem to pump out a fair amount of new pieces, I don't think it would have been too much to ask. In other news, these are minor points of concern that don't really matter (aside from questionable pricing), but ... venting is fun. ~Medievalego~
  23. +1 more for Dadster.
  24. Please add +1 for Dadster, if it could be +2 I would recommend it--he went out of his way to help me out. Really appreciate it ... ~Medievalego~

    My plan...

LOL, darkagent, I am insanely jealous of this find. Unforutnatley there's no 'crazy eyes' icon to demonstrate this. Having been waiting for LEGO to release middle earth-ish figures for about twenty years, it kills me that the 'impulse' figures run for over $3. ~Medievalego~
