Probably meant hard to build with your own pieces instead of buying the set...

That's what she said. I agree with you on this set. It was a great deal when I got it for $30 on clearance, but it is just very cumbersome and is just collecting dust. As much as it would pain me to, I think I might disassemble him when I *gasp* downsize my Lego display area. Clever pics! -darthperson

From my experience, nothing Lego-related has helped me get any "girl parts".
-
Huh. That's pretty cool! I bet it would be worth some money...

Lego is smart. This is a perfect way for them to get rid of some leftover Agents and Pirates parts (they might not even be cheap plastic! ) and still get people to buy it for the new exclusive figure.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Derek replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just out of curiousity, has anyone else ordered these from S@H? I ordered my maximum 5 today () and am wondering how the assortment of the figures are. I am hoping I get 5 different ones, as opposed to 3 or 4 different ones with doubles. I hope they utilize the barcodes to give 5 different figures for each order... -darthperson -

I'm sure everything they put out has a set release date, but I doubt they stick exactly to it for everything. It's not like a midnight release sort of thing. Many stores had them out early, and some of them are bound to have them out later. -
HAHAHAHAHA ^That's^ what I have to say to those who bought these for ridiculous prices. Thanks for the mini-review, but I think this fig is actually pretty boring. Sure, I wouldn't complain if I was able to get one, but I don't think I will be going out of my way to do so. I would be more excited for it if they had used the new Mando helmet mold and jetpack. Oh wait, that's basically a clone trooper.

I'm guessing one of two things happened. 1)You the movie you saw wasn't Prince of Persia. 2)The designers took quite a few liberties. I'm leaning toward #1.

Review: LEGO Toy Story 3~7596 Trash Compactor Escape
Derek replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I got this set this past weekend, and I must say, I was much more impressed than I thought I would be. It is really big (that's what she said), but doesn't have too many parts. The crane has to be my favorite part of the set, and the new claw pieces are awesome. It has a stronger grip than I thought it would. I think it's funny because of the aliens in the claw machine in the first movie. I highly recommend this set, for both parts and playability, not to mention the figures, which are an a superb level of detail. I am really impressed by Lego's printed parts in this line. -
How long do Grand Emp. and Fire Brigade have?
Derek replied to Danpb's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Definitely buy the Fire Brigade first. I don't think its necessarily a better set, but it will surely go out of production soonest because it's older than the Grand Emporium. The GE seems like one of the more major of the modulars, so it might even have a longer shelf life than 2 years, while I don't think its the same case for the FB. Hope it helps. -
Thanks a lot everyone! I really appreciate it!

Or maybe he's just an actor. But really, I don't like the bland figures in these sets. The diver, ninja and dummy in Series 1 and the explorer and officer in Series 2. -

What in the world are you talking about? -
Nice! This is great because of the small amount of pieces that are pretty specialized to begin with, you made something that is (somewhat) recognizable! Great Work!

If you look at the big picture, you can see that it's really two 1x2 grills. I really don't see the need at all for a 1x4 grill

I present you all with yet another one of my Office vigs...this one is from the Season 6 episode "New Leads". Michael indirectly and accidentally threw away some of the new client leads from corporate, so he and Dwight went to the dump to look for them... However, things took a turn and they started to fight... Dwight : Ok when I first met you, I had a lot of job offers. And, I had an offer from Ivan Chatski. The Ivan Chatski. Now if I would have assisted managed him-- Michael: Assisted to the managed him! Dwight: Oh that's low! BONUS GAME ( ): See how many unique elements you can spot from recent sets... Michael: Know what would be a great picture here? Just this whole dump, and in the middle, one flower. That's it. And the caption would read: Dwight: Hope - grows. Michael: In the dump. Thanks for looking! -darthperson

After a long time, I have decided to make another Office vignette! This one is from the Season 6 episode "Niagara"- When everyone is in Niagara Falls for Jim and Pam's wedding, Andy and Kelly have a hotel room dance-off... Andy (complete with ridiculous red pants) does a split, and ends up tearing his scrotum on his keys... Kevin and Erin bring Andy over to Pam's room, leaving her to take him to the hospital on the night of her wedding... Thanks for looking!

I am going to a Lego store for the first time on Friday and I am crossing my fingers that they will have the Pizza Planet Truck! I really have no intentions of collecting all of these sets, but I felt so nostalgic when I saw the first pics of the truck. If only we got a Slinky Dog and Mr. Potato Head- they are two of my favorite characters and because they are from rival toy companies, I doubt we will ever see them in Lego. -darthperson
-
Most of that truck is made of large pieces, including the yellow panels and rooftop. I think $35 USD is more than fair, to be honest, I was expecting $40...
-
Just keep it really steep and dont go out too far. Use the steepest slopes and even a couple BURPS... And cheese slopes
-
Seriously? Or sarcastically? I dont think its too unrealistic...
-
Why not use this- or this?

According to the Yahoo Frontpage- There is going to be a new SW comedy series. Animated, no less. I have a feeling that this could be great or terrible. I wonder what happened to the live-action series? Discussion? I'm betting on lots to follow.
