    Post up your vehicles!

Here's my latest effort. I actually started off intending to make a chunky 4x4 American pickup truck, but it turned into a long wheelbase Land-Rover.....because of course it did. Anyway, here's the result:

Having acquired a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon kit to compliment the bits and pieces I had left over, I came up with *another* semi-truck tractor unit:

Greetings all! I'm totally new to the site here, so I'm still finding my feet. I noticed 'military' and 'vehicles' in the thread title, which piqued my interest - but please do forgive me if I've posted the wrong thing in the wrong place. I just recently got back into LEGO building after 35 years, and I bought a few kits recently. I'm posting this here, because (despite it's colours), my truck design is based on the kind of vehicle that the military the world over uses for tank transporters, missile carriers, or any other application where a multi-wheel drive HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle here in the UK) would be required. To create this kit, I used 2 X John Deere Tractor+Trailer kits, plus a couple of the 'Monster Jam' smaller kits, and an even smaller 'Dump Truck' set, plus a few other bits and pieces left over from my initial effort, the green 4x4i pictured. Ignore the trailer in the photos - it's not finished and is just a quick mock-up at this stage, but you get the idea, hopefully :D
  4. Alright, good day to you all! I'm so new here, the paint is still wet, so go easy on me....Heh! After a 35 year (!) hiatus, I recently decided to get back into Technical LEGO again - and I hadn't realised just how much i missed it. I started off with buying a Technical LEGO Ford Mustang kit, which I then embellished with a John Deere Tractor+Trailer kit, followed by a 'little' Dump Truck set. To ease myself back in, I actually built all these kits, but it was the parts I was interested in, with a view to building my own designs. What really struck me, was the, frankly amazing variety of parts/shapes that simply didn't exist all those years ago, and it was mind blowing to me to see what was available, just from those initial sets that I bought. Anyhow, here is what I did with them, as my first build. (Oh, in the last picture, the 8x8 Truck is my latest, but I'll get to that......) (if I've got this wrong, and posted in the wrong place, or posted the wrong thing therein, please do forgive me - but I *did* read the 'New Members' post thing, which I suspect most folk don't....:D) -Jamie Wallace-
