I made a small programm for studio which changes all parts of your model to the cheapest color. I couldnt find anything similar and its always very frustrating that studio dosnt even show the price of parts (dont get me wrong still the best software). It can be used to make all parts cheap (haha) and then you can make the outer parts that are visible in your desired color... And order it on bricklink. It only works if you export you studio model as lxfml and put it in the same folder as the program, a new file will then be generated. All other ways like directly from digital designer dosnt work, because I programmed it very shitty. Also it works with a list of the 1000 most common lego parts which I ran through my program-algorythm. I also have a version which grabs the cheapest color directly online from bricklink but it only works on my pc. So this version only works with the 1000 most common parts, any other parts will be colored pink. But its more than enough and almost every brick is in the list often. Its an exe file so virus alarm. .. Let me know if anyone is interested, the program just rusts away in my pc atm. Dont want anything for it. I think this can potentially help many builders.
