The bootleg hands are definitely not made from stronger material as I've had a number snap. Don't get me wrong I have almost every Darth Vader, Clone Trooper, Batman totalling over 250 minifigures and they are my favourite to display and collect but think we are kidding ourselves saying these are nightshift workings using anything Lego at all or even that they are in Lego Factories somewhere. The hands of the Coral (bootleg) figures are just a different colour as they got lazy or made a mistake and don't care or have any quality control so left them as is. They've done this on many many variates like the black and green and yellow glitter ones where second time around everything matched up. I have compared these bootleg ones to original Lego and I can't let the difference other than the poor hands and dodgy colours they've used in some variations. Make your own minds up but I know what I think and I still love them. I would take a wild guess that someone somewhere near to Indonesia (where I used to be able to buy these the cheapest way back when they started getting released) they have some great moulds like Lego and maybe have the correct colour matchings to make them but where they make mistakes its obvious people who would do this as there job day in day out wouldn't make these kinds of mistakes. Happy for comments to prove or suggest anything else though :) I'll post a picture in a second. this is one example of version 1 on the left when they first made them to version 2 on the right where they got better. So all parts on the left were made at different times and they didn’t mix the colours the same. Here are my collections pretty much complete now. don’t think any others have been released yet. You can see in the bottom left the "dark" black translucent figures are a lot darker than the first lease ones on the 4th row from the bottom standard trans ones. They called the new new "Dark Black" but really it was just the better attempt and getting it right!

Finally got the elusive Darth Vader Magenta! Plus Dark Pink and the New Trans Dark Black, Satin Dark Black, trans dark green along with Clone troopers in bright light yellow, medium lavender, dark pink and magenta. Also got Batman in trans orange. so missing ones are copper metallic Batman, trans light green Batman, glitter neon green in Darth Vader and Clone and Glitter dark Black…. Not sure if I’ll continue with Darth Vader as I think 80 is enough and fills my display. Clone I need 3 to fill display and Batman I have space for another 7 but may stop at those last 2. Hi I’m off to Australia for 5 weeks today so nothing selling anywhere. I’ll message again once I get back.

I don’t sell on Bricklink, only eBay but even I am getting bored of selling. I’ve completed almost every monochrome set like plain, satin, transparent metallic etc and all the Batman, Darth Vader, Clone Troopers, C-3PO’s etc and I do still have about 5 full sets of 50+ plain Monofigs on eBay and varied amounts of smaller sets. If you do a search for Lego 43 monochrome minifigures they’ll appear at the top and I do also have loads of other spares so just send me a message on eBay. The 43 first colours are not too expensive to collect it’s the newer ones as they are harder to find. So likes of medium tan and medium brown etc are around £25 to £30 each so adding these to a set of 43 adds around £175. Anyways like I said I’m not buying items anymore to sell as my objective was to buy things in a but more bulk to pay for all my own collections. thanks

latest Lego Batman set around 85. Just a trans-orange closed cowl on its way and need to find a trans-green closed cowl. Darth Vader collection also almost complete just missing a Magenta which I’ve seen once. I have a medium brown in transit and I think I’m done :/ I do also have a large Clone trooper set and some other ones and I don’t think I can fit any more in the Wicked Brick IKEA Kallax Stands coming soon. I’ll update the pictures once they are all in (6 weeks lead time). I did get the Sand Red variant just so I had it but it’s like a patchwork quilt of colours and my guess is they were testing out the colours to try to get it right and maybe gave up as Ive only seen a few and none any different. this is the clone set with the last one added being the tran-dark blue or blue. the Batman set above is missing the bright pink open cowl figure as I forgot to add it in but I’ll display them in a month or so in their new displays and with matching capes missing. 👍🏻

Yes I know I have 2 dark purple ones already. I just meant that I wouldn’t be selling that one as cheap as the rest as it’s mask is worth more money to other people who may just need the helmet to finish a figure or replace a damaged one. 😮

These Batman cowl, closed chin variants never came as helmets only like previous Darth Vader or clone ones so no chance getting these cheap if you find someone with them. I paid about £27 each and I’d likely sell them at £35 each except the dark purple one as it’s only ever seen on a rare comic con figure costing £600 so no chance getting that one cheap. I’ve just spend over £500 getting them ones above for my own collection. I do think the price is t bad but it seems worse when you buy so many at once. I’ve got a full set of 38 Darth Vader up for sale on eBay right now and I’m about to add medium brown to make it 39 plain colours. I’ve only got one set to sell so it’s £1499 but you can’t get them any more so in my opinion it’s worth it 👍🏻

Harry Potter isn’t gold either but they found a way?! Batman had a black mask not red or purple or white (as pictured) but they found a way! So why does multicoloured Darth Vader sound far fetched? At the end of the day Lego lose money by choosing to not do certain things like sell the odd monochrome or translucent figure. Surely selling a full monochrome set of 50+ figures as a celebration set would work? I bet most people would pay £300 / $300++ anyway in this image of Lego and “bootleg parts” the back few rows of Batman Masks are almost all made by “LEGO” in official sets. Also almost all of my figures that are plain are from genuine Lego sets as I buy them monochrome (like in Everything is Awesome sets etc) or clean them myself from part printed official Lego. 👍🏻

Not many people have the actual producers of these items as WhatsApp friends and I have some local and overseas cheap sellers but none can get them yet or ever did but I did hear certain buyers (guessing in bulk buys could chose items they wanted and that’s more likely why I haven’t been able to get them. On the term bootleggers I don’t think anyone can say with any certainty as we don’t know if some ex-factory workers had access to official moulds and processes and colour blends or it’s possibly countries like Indonesia or Mexico (Lego factories) where they may not be governed by the same rules or laws (morals) as the likes of the UK or US as I’ve got many of these items and they are indistinguishable to real Lego with the Lego stamps being too perfect to not be from sources close to Lego including some of the latest printed items Lego said on Bricklink that may well be Lego parts but they don’t sell items of certain kinds in large quantities so said they were not officially from them. I also have been collecting Lego for over 20 years and I can’t tell the difference or know of any way someone could copy these so well. I’ve watched videos of people trying to 3D print Lego with £50,000 machines and they look horrendous so you tell me how it’s not real Lego from real moulds? I do doubt some of the quality control on a few colours like sand red as it’s not close enough to the original colour but 99% of the rest are perfect matches. anyways I just love them regardless of the origin so if it’s not Lego themselves doing this they are missing a huge percentage of customers and profits by not doing some of this stuff themselves and they don’t seem to be doing a very good job of stopping it if it’s not them. on of my sellers even works in an official Lego Shop as I’ve seen pictures of it so maybe just a great lover of lego or lego lol-a-likes but it’s strange all the same :) id be interested to hear other peoples thoughts on how someone could fake one of these Lego parts as I’ve not been able to find one?

well there’s a Medium Tan and a Neon Yellow & a Metallic Copper in here and others. I’m missing Magenta, Bright Light Yellow & Sand Red. Don’t think there are any more Darth Vaders, anyone? Or anyone know where I’d get my missing ones?

One thing they've forgot to understand is that right from the off LEGO like other high quality brand do not do poor quality anything! I think they are starting to cut corners to this stuff out. I know Lego do have some slight variations in colours themselves like Medium Blue and Medium Nougat amongst their figures but not seen in any one release! Its not the first time as I've seen a few Trans variants not be exact colours in the same figure and it spoils it. Lego (via Bricklink) released another post about Counterfeit "Stamping" of Genuine Lego Parts and to watch out for it - Counterfeit Minifigures - Immediate action required! (mailchi.mp) but at the bottom did say its not related to the transparent figures post. I have to say I love my sets but now I have them all I'm stopping buying or selling them (well after the Copper Metallic) for various reasons.

Wow not good at all that. I noticed in a few other images I've seem of it that it looked two colours in one but yes still not even close to the origonal :( Maybe its meant to be a different colour?

owwww I made an everything is super awesome x 22 Set :D I’ve finished collecting now it’s reached 58 as the set no longer fits in any cases or displays so this is it for now. I am also stopping my Clone Trooper set at about the same…..

Hi I speak with them direct using WhatsApp but at one time or another they did sell on Bricklink. One of the main people I buy from is from Indonesia and a latest full minifigure with a mask/helmet in Trans or satin would cost around $18 so depending on exchange rate for me in the UK, it would be around £15. Helmets or masks on there own are around £2 to £4 each. I’ve seen a few and are members of a few invite only Facebook groups which do look to get some things quicker than I do but costs are double so they are likely sellers like me. I am stopping selling and buying now. I think the satin pink, red, green, white and dark blue which are in transit will be my last as 55+ of each variant like Darth Vader and Clone and Batman and smaller set variants like tie fighter, c-3po and Thor is as much as I think I need/want. I do still have about 10 sets of plain monochrome sets of 48 to shift and a few of the Darth Vader plains but I’m moving back to Lego Minifigures in sets from Star Wars etc. there are still people selling items on Bricklink which come from the “Lego Factory” and not seen anywhere else so that’s the best way to find them :) owwww copper matalic :O

Its already happened as releases like this now include the full minifigure and I bought a few sets a while back as I was sick of hunting out monochrome or cleaning a few with print so lazy I know but the best bit was getting flat sliver and pearl dark gray hands :) along with the dark turquoise head and a few other harder to find parts. I've pretty much have complete sets now so I'm stopping buying and selling these and I've noticed a huge drop in people buying them so it could be dying out....... :O

We are already past that point, and I know it’s a shame but can we tell the difference. I guess it’s worse for people who may have held on to really rare items to then find someone has mass produced that very part. sad times I guess those people and happy times if you couldn’t afford those rare items so works both ways. Although I collect and sell these “illegitimate lovely items I do also have most hard to find full sets of minifigures from most rare Star Wars sets. not sure what I really think but we don’t really get to chose and could we really ever tell if it was from Lego themselves. I’ve bought a number of black Lego spaceman torsos for about £1.50 to £2 and adding legs airtank and head n helmet is cheap so who knows :O

Look, there’s nothing wrong with collecting Lego sets and Minifigures from rare sets or even series sets of Minifigures (which I do). But I also collect minifigure parts and make monochrome figures (just very time consuming) but I do also buy and collect these unofficial Lego figures as I’ve compared them against brand new parts direct from Lego and in most cases are better than from Lego as I’ve had scratched and damaged parts from Lego. All the parts are obviously made in genuine Lego moulds as they are identical in every way so if someone put these in sets no one would ever know the difference so all we are talking about here are different makers of the same product. I do like to hear and see new things for all monochrome options and I haven’t seen anyone not be clear if various colours are coming from official sets or “elsewhere” and you can always tell. I only have time to read and reply to one chat so I’m for staying as is.

Well everyone has an opinion but tell me this doesn’t look “Awesome” to display :)

I’ve always sold original Lego and I now also sell the ones people refer to as “custom” or “illegitimate” but in my opinion of selling and collecting Lego for over 20 years is that these Lego parts made in official Lego moulds are the same so surely yes you can buy what you wish and wait for colours to appear in official Lego sets but you’d also not be able to tell the difference if someone swapped the parts in sets :/ Lego announced on Bricklink that although they haven’t made these parts they are made by either Lego employees or others in Lego moulds. anyways I am also not going to buy all of these as I have 55 Darth Vader Colours, 55 Clone Troopers, almost as many Batman and a lot of Tie Fighters and C-3PO’s and they look absolutely awesome and I must say Lego themselves are missing a huge market for fans not doing these. the “Everything is Awesome” set was a good start but nothing since?!

There is one seller who has a group called “Lego Monofigs” and has all these and more but I asked for prices yesterday and heard nothing yet?! But I’m going to imagine they won’t be anywhere as cheap as one of my sellers (one from Indonesia) but I’ll let you know I did used to sell them all as well but getting a little bored of most of it now but yes I still fancy some of the new ones for my own collection :D

Hi yes hair is the best option and most of there are available, just very hard to get: light nougat light Aqua sand blue Medium blue medium or dark azure all the above are available. Sand Green use the Statue of Liberty hair. medium lavender is available with dark turquoise headphones attached. that pretty much completes the 48 colours available. I’ll try and post a picture at some point. thanks
