    [MOC] Virgin Pendolino

@Paperballpark Would you be willing to share a picture of the tilting mechanism? I am planning to build a British Rail Advanced Passenger Train (APT), and came across a Model Train Tilt Mechanism by Mark J E Bellis, which I understand was first exhibited in a LEGO model of a Virgin Pendolino train in 2001. However, the tilting mechanism extends into the passenger space, which is fine for the majority of the train but I'm struggling to fit the Powered Up Hub (88009), motor (such as 88013) and tilt mechanism in the power car. The alternative is to use the train motor (88011), but as the tilt mechanism uses a shaft fitted to the bogie I haven't worked out how to connect the train motor and the tilt mechanism together.

Help on coaches without Chassis plates

Thanks for your help. It's clear that nobody has worked out a solution using 'pure' Lego pieces, and with a bit of experimenting I think I have a viable solution using a single layer of plates with support from above and below that will form the base of a coach. Just waiting for the required pieces to arrive in the post now. Thanks again.
  3. Would others be willing to share how they base their train engines or coaches without using the Lego CHASSIS 6X28X6.4 plate. I'm trying to build some coaches without using the chassis plate - ideally using a 61485 turntable or 3679/3680 turn plates - but cannot get the resulting build to align with the bottom of the coach to be at the same level of a coach using the chassis. They are usually 1 or two plates higher.

    Powered Up Programming

Am I missing something, or is there very little support for those wanting to use the programming section of the Powered Up App to control trains? I came across the code block guide at https://racingbrick.com/powered-up-code-block-guide-full/, which has helped me create my own control screen for my 60197 Passenger Train, add lights, and implement Automatic Train Operation using the Colour and Distance Sensor. Was happy to start documenting my learnings, but don't want to duplicate work that may have been done elsewhere.
