    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Whoo! I think we are getting a bit off-topic here. I do think he was asking a legitimate question based on his understanding of Jurassic World sets. He may not completely understand. Let's get back to Lego JW topic.

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

It does sound pretty rude, considering that he was asking a legitimate question. He may not know if it is unrealistic or not, so it is perfectly fine if he asks it. I don't think it is anyone's place to harass or call someone out for asking that. On a different note, if these sets are for CC, is it likely we may get a detailed color scheme for a possible Toro, Limbo, and Chaos?

Those Juniors sets with the 'Don and Rex in 2018 and several occasions with the baby dinosaurs. Other than that, I don't think Lego would try something like that.

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Nothing yet. We do have dinosaur names for the sets: Stygimoloch, Velociraptor (presumably), Carnotaurus, and Baryonyx. A molded Godzilla would be awesome some day, though! I presume you've watched Godzilla vs. Kong?

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I know it won't happen this year (or at all, probably) but it would be cool to see a Monolophosaurus in honor of CC S3: just a modified raptor head with Stygimoloch legs. And, of course, a raptor body, arms, and jaw , forgot to add that

I love it! Thank you so much for recommending it to me!

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Technically, the largest Velociraptor fossil discovered was nine feet long and almost four feet tall, so it is quite a considerable amount larger than a cat or dog. But the Lego versions significantly outsize them without a doubt! I wonder if we'll get a few baby raptors in these sets just for ambience: like in 75929, 75930, 75942, etc. Maybe we could get some more vivid colorations in 76941 and 76942?

Could we get an old-coloration raptor squad member or an updated one if that's the case?

I love your idea of Compys, Guyon2002; maybe just recolored baby dinos? I'd love a new mold, and we could see one with a small dinosaur like that... but I wouldn't count on it. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome! Glad you got to see it! I hope your predictions are correct... they sound really cool!

That would be a merch-milking product to be sure of! something like that would be cool to see someday! It looks like an interbred Porcupine (quills), Utahraptor (body and claws), and Rugops (head shape). I think it looks rather cool in that regard. Have they listed the genetic components yet?

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

A lot of people (including me) haven't watched it yet, so I was just sharing; like when JLR re-shared images of that DUPLO set for this year. Man, he sure is ugly, though!

Could be FK anyway; that's a good theory.

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Could be a random set that has no origin; like 75942 from last year. I have no interest in this set, just because it sounds so small compared to the price. I wonder what color Stiggy will be... DBLegonerd7 was onto something with the black or dark blue coloration, because it seems fairly franchise-canon.

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I think it is pretty unlikely... nothing is impossible, but it is very very unlikely.

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

That's a good point; this doesn't really look canon with any parts of the franchise, so maybe the sets could be as well? Boy, I hope we get leaked images soon!

Like I said, just shooting random ideas out. What's your opinion on this set?

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I'm not saying it would be based on FK, just giving some examples from the franchise. We got a JW set in 2020 five years after it's release, so FK isn't impossible. But I agree, very unlikely.

I think we'll get a smaller version of the Rex skeleton from that Ideas set. It is a nice build by itself, so I think that people would love to get a smaller build (as long as it looks nice). I wonder what aspect of the franchise it will be based on... JP? CC S3? FK? Dominion?

What colorations can we expect this year, or at least what's a good guess?

Maybe we could see one in 76940...? Extremely unlikely, but a neat prospect!

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I hope we can see a new (smaller) body, jaw, head, leg, and tail mold for the Carno that can be used for a potential Allo, Cerato, etc in the future. It makes sense we would get a smaller mold at some point anyway, but who knows?

    Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Here are some random thoughts (not wishlists) for these sets: 76939 - Stygimoloch Escape - $39.99 - 129 pieces - The PP ratio of this set is very poor, suggesting we will get multiple large pieces or special molds. - Because this is a 4+ set, the Stygimoloch may not get very vibrant or decorative colors at all. Maybe a reddish-brown? Or maybe just the same coloration as last time? - The pieces count may mean a very small and awkward build, kinda like 75942. - I'm not sure if this is a movie-based set, or something completely made-up... so I couldn't guess the minifigure selection. - We may get a baby dinosaur in this set, like a baby raptor, just to spice the overall look up a little. 76940 - T-Rex Fossil Exhibition - $29.99 - 198 pieces - I'm pretty sure we can all agree this set will not contain a T-Rex (although that would be incredible). Most likely a Velociraptor (or maybe Dilophosaurus?). - The pieces count suggests we may get around 3 minifigs, I guess? - There are two candidates for what this set is based on: it could be from Jurassic Park, and contain 4 minis, 1 Raptor, 1 Collapsing Rex skeleton, and a few other small items. However, a promotional image for season three of Camp Cretaceous shows Blue standing on a collapsed T-Rex skeleton, so this set may include a rejuvenated Blue in that case. - In these instances, the latter would contain 3 minis and 4 minis... or something like that. - Most likely a smaller build, but the parts of the Rex skeleton could make the overall size a bit larger. - If we get a new Velociraptor color scheme in this one, I'm definitely going to put this one on my list. 76941 - Carnotaurus Chase - $49.99 - 240 pieces - Most likely going to get (what else?) a Carnotaurus in this set. - However, due to the pieces count, we may be getting an updated version with smaller head, jaw, body, leg, and tail molds. The budget really determines this, but I don't think it's out of the question. - Assuming it could be a Camp Cretaceous set, the Carnotaurus may have a color scheme similar to that of Toro, or of Toro. - Also assuming it could be a Camp Cretaceous set, we may get a small vehicle and building in this set to accompany the Carno. - Since we do not know what this set is based on, we can only guess this could be for Camp C. In that case, we may only get 2 minifigs. - Aside from a small vehicle and maybe a few other small decorative components, there may not be much else. 76942 - Baryonyx Boat Attack - $79.99 - 308 pieces - I would assume two Baryonyxes in this set (Limbo and Chaos if this is for CC) and possibly a baby dinosaur. - There will obviously be a boat in this set, so that raises the price a lot more (by Lego's standards, of course). - This set may be based off of the last scene in S2 of CC. However, I have not watched CC at all, so I could not describe the details. - The pieces count is scary low, so we may get a few minifigs as well as two Barys. - The boat may be the only other build aside from the Barys and Minis, so the set will be very small and may not have a lot of interactivity for the price. - There is a possibility this may have been mistranslated from "Spinosaurus Boat Attack", as these set names are just preliminary. However, there is not a lot of evidence to support this, but it does make somewhat sense due to the fact that it is JP 3's 20th anniversary and the new molds for it would cost a bit. Guyon2002, did your source see the preliminary pics or only see the preliminary set names? Is there any chance he could have mis-translated them? I'd love to get a Spino so bad! I of course won't let my want for something blind logic, but it is still a possibility. Did I miss anything or get anything wrong?
