LEGO Ninjago 2024 Rumours and Discussion

Quick someone start the 2025 thread haha. 25 Ninjago sets coming next year, so less than this year unfortunately. Set numbers range from 71823 to 71848, and there’s a missing set, 71835. From Fateful_lego. Thanks!

For us Europeans (and anyone who also has access to the magazines) climber Lloyd is in the May issue, just hoping for Cole now, please…. I really don’t wanna buy that overpriced buggy.

New renders of Lloyd and Arin have leaked, they have a new armour piece similar to skybound armour (can’t hold 4 swords) but I like the look of it. Still waiting for generic armour with a stud on the back though to hold their signature weapons. Movie face for Lloyd I think, shame that that’s back, and also no arm printing. Arins suit looks cool but a bit messy with the orange and bright orange combo. He has his grapple which is cool. Most interesting part is (hopefully) new katanas that are shorter, which should look a bit better when held by a minifig.

Additional info for tournament temple city, from brick clicker - "the build is a dark blue temple with a smaller bridge either side. There is a small bridge and dragon included. Around 14 minifies including Wu, Lloyd, Wyldfire, Cole, Zane, Arin, Nya and 5 civilians" Still unconfirmed if the build is the same shown in the sticker inside the dragon stone shrine, but I would call it likely.

Honestly my theory, given how many times it’s mentioned by Ras, (not really spoilers) the source dragon of strength seems a likely candidate. An evil source dragon would be so cool.

I just want a bonzil figure. I’ll talk more about my thoughts on the season tomorrow but from what I’ve seen, wow. What a season.

Very interesting. What’s the source? Never mind I found it. https://fanklockow.pl/2024/03/07/zapowiedzi-lego-2024-ninjago/?_gl=1*meti5i*_up*MQ..*_ga*MzcyNDEwNzUuMTcwOTgwMjYwMg..*_ga_EGVQWS6XMX*MTcwOTgwMjYwMS4xLjEuMTcwOTgwMjYwNy4wLjAuMA

Personally I hope it’s a set up for future villains, a bit like the second (modern) Jurassic park film where at the end the dinos escape into the wild. The ninja lose, and the forbidden 5 are set loose. That’s 5 seasons, plus one more for Ras’s master easily. funny how imperium and the empress and all that was just a facade for Ras though. Another theory I’ve seen being speculated is that Egalt is actually evil and working for his own gains, as the mystery source dragon he was exiled and stripped of his power, and now using his influence with visions he’s tricked Lloyd to be his conduit, so secretly Egalt is the big bad (and maybe even Ras’s master?). This I personally love and although it’s unlikely, I still think it could be one of the best twist villains ever.

This looks wild! Not much new stuff, apart from 2 big things. 1st, I think one of the new locations in the trailer is the tournament temple city, considering if that pic in the dragon stone shrine is it. Roofs look similar. And 2, the biggest one, there’s a frame with Lloyd looking at several source dragon spirits(?) and I think these may be the same spirits mentioned in the unconfirmed set descriptions we got a while back. I don’t see why that specific detail wouldn’t be mentioned in leaks if it wasn’t gonna be in the show.

It’s available on the rewards centre for I think 2700 insiders points. Not worth it to me personally, especially if I wanted the entire collection, but it’s there for anyone to have a shot at. I expect it to go for a pretty penny on the aftermarket though. On another note, I managed to buy a sealed copy of the gardens for half off, thinking of using it for parts in further city mocs. Anyone got any recommendations what I should build with it? (I’m likely going to add another level to the big tower to start with).

Cole has leaked. Arm printing seems certain now, he has his old hair (shame we aren’t getting the headband hair piece as it’s the only one of those parts that I actually prefer over the regular hair) and also,a quad sword holder??? I have to see how this works!

Absolutely loving the red and grey/black design, although I’m surprised that we are getting 3 Ras variants and Arin and Sora are yet to get new suits (guess that changes with the summer wave though). I’m really hoping Ras’s master uses red and black as their colour scheme as it’s my favourite colour combo. Another note, for those that care, Ninjago music just released Volume one of the seasons soundtrack, highly recommend you give it a listen. It’s absolutely superb! Now if only Lego would stop reuploading the same season 2 clip every week and we could be on track for an amazing week!

Agreed. I saw them just before I went to bed and I’m a little stumped that they aren’t being reported on. If the source (ridexninjagoleaks) got them from the same source mentioned before we got March set pics then it’s likely they are fake. @mantax do you remember the video you saw these leaks in? I have to say unless they get confirmed today I think they are likely fake rumours. The biggest tell is the fact BricksByMind hasn’t made a video as he has seen and is aware of the 2HY Ninjago content from LAN and the LANday he went to last year. If he’s not talking about these rumours, chances are he knows they’re fake.

There’s a lot to unpack here… Villain Jay? Ras’s master? The return of wolf warriors? All 7 source dragons in one set? The biggest mech in Ninjago history???? Another ultra/hyper/supercalafragilisticexpialidosus sonic raider??? Honestly sounds like an amazing wave, and we got confirmation that Toothdominos is working on the Cole Titan mech so I cannot wait to see what he cooks up.

I definitely think it should be on its own, I’m thinking on a baseplate of water that has a small ring of stone around it, then connected to the wider Ninjago city waterways. I really wish it did come with that base though, it’s absolutely gorgeous! Also we are all assuming that build on the wall in the temple is definitely the tournament temple city right? It looks absolutely beautiful. Hopefully it has a water base so it can somewhat interact with the ninjago city modulars as a baseplate behind the city, not actually connected to it in any way (say you had a full square of city sets, in a 3x3 pattern, the TTC would go in the centre).

LEGO Ninjago 2024 Rumours and Discussion

Just realised I never got round to posting my thoughts, so better late than never: Young dragon Riyu - absolutely awesome impulse buy set, comes with new Sora hair and regular Arin, plus a wolf dude, which is nice to get another given the large army seen in trailers. Apart from the hair not much else going on figure wise. Riyu is an interesting build, all the images on the page do him dirty though. He looks much better in the 360 video, but I can’t lie the head looks awful from most angles over than side on. Like a confused owl most of the time. for £13 though it’s a solid deal. Can’t complain. Lloyds elemental mech - another mech, ok? Lloyd and Nya are cool but come with Egalt anyways. Unless you want it for parts or for the mech combo feature, there’s nothing really going for it (apart from a cheap way to get cinder I guess). Decent price for what you get if it’s similar to Sora’s mech. Arins buggy - very sleek build, I like the look of it. Quite similar to the rock roader which is one of my favourite ninjago sets, the back wings look awesome, cool hook and suspension. Figs are alright, climber Cole is absolutely stellar, love his suit, cinder again and Arin and wolf mask. I love the big wheels too, always happy to see those in a cheap set. Except it’s not. It’s £45. Absolutely ridiculous, I feel so bad for the designer who had to see this go for a ludicrous discount before it can be brought. I echo the sentiment that I hope Lego takes this as “overpriced won’t sell” not “Arin won’t sell”. hopefully it’s much bigger in hand. Climber Kai mech - Ok this is incredibly cool. I’ve had a sketch MOC on my table for a while with the same leg design, so it’s actually really cool to see an official set with the same (albeit likely sturdier) design. When I saw the leaks of this I wasn’t sold on its spindly limbs but I’ve done a complete 180, I love its overall stance and design language. Very pacific rim crimson typhoon like. Big muscular shoulders are good, and the mounting of the second set of arms are great. I don’t like the lack of elbows, that’s a definite downside but it also makes up for it by introducing the EVO joints in black, shame we didn’t get those for the venom mech. Double swords are cool, and the cockpit is pretty exposed which is less cool. I’m with Jang on this one, Cockpits should be fully enclosed. The second arm set is also so damn cool, my MOC has a tiny set of arms then a much bigger one like the EVO combo mech, but I’m considering just giving it 4 big arms. Better to stay different though, they’re similar enough as is. Getting back on track, I love the new hook parts, and the fact it can just hang on the cable is an amazing play feature. I can’t wait to see this thing in animation. Figs are alright, Climber Kai, Jay and Wyldfire are the big draws, shame we get Jordana AGAIN though. After 4 figs in the £25 Kai mech set I’d expect more for one more than double it’s size and price. Speaking of which, It’s also decently priced, I’m so glad it’s £60 and not £75 because that was flat out ridiculous for the Lloyd and Arin mechs. Minifig gripes aside, definitely a contender for favourite mech yet. Shadow dojo - This feels like classic Ninjago, big old temple with tons of play features, and a really fun look. Surprised at how accurate it is to the show. Figure selection is stunning, Nya, Kai, Lloyd and Zane all in climber suits, and the 4 main villain figs. Blood moon looks amazing, very foreboding, and the scenery around it is also cool. Matches what we see in the Sora mech. I love the arena at the front too. Temple itself feels a little sparse but I imagine the budget was stretched thin and far here, and at £105 it feels like a bit too much. £100 is a perfect price for it. Good nostalgic type of set. Dragon stone shrine - the other £105 set, this is the complete opposite of the dojo. This is modern Ninjago at its peak. A more challenging build, again, decent figures, although it’s a shame we won’t get Nyas Hood to go with her figure if anyone was missing it. Nice to see Lloyd in his new robes here, but he really deserves a cape. Euphrasia is amazing, glad we are getting her in a set so soon, but where the hell does she put all that hair under the hood? Ras is cool, and a new Wu, which may mean he’s back now (I hope not, I hope we don’t get just one season with missing characters and then that’s it all done back to status quo. I would have used the budget to upgrade Arin a bit I think). The build itself is beautiful, stunning scenery and location design. I like the temple inside with the Chi crystal and the hidden book. The tree is a wonderful touch too. Unfortunately it falls short at the price. £105 feels way too much for this, I get it’s a detailed and parts dense build but at the end of the day that doesn’t look like £105 worth of plastic. More around £70-80 I would say. Which is a shame because it’s obvious that designers have put a lot of love and care into it. I’ll grab it on sale eventually, but it’s going to be an expensive year. And thus ends my rambling of these sets, if you have read for this long I applaud you. Can’t wait to start seeing reviews of these sets appear now.

Interestingly enough the replies show that the arm was designed to be a prosthetic “robot arm” but I think Doc is just saying that as he’s lead for the show.

LEGO Ninjago 2024 Rumours and Discussion

I was under the impression that the arm was a prosthetic from imperium given the colour scheme. Either way, it’s a cool design.

I really meant in the show. She lost one arm and got a prosthetic, now she has 2 gold arms…

Sora and Lloyd have leaked on another poster I guess in legoland, new shoulder armour with 2 sword holders parallel like skybound armour. Pad on right side. Sora has a new suit (at last) that looks awesome, and the new hair and half mask. I guess they decided to go all in on the hairpiece because of the prominence of it in the show for the next season. Can’t see much of Lloyd but he has the island hair. I really do wish that they didn’t retire those older moulds. Possible spoiler - Also I think Lloyd has arm printing, and Sora has 2 gold arms? I wonder if she loses one?
