  1. Beautiful game Hinckley, totally up to your usual high standards! I loved the wild setup, especially since I hadn't played Chapter 1. And we can debate to no end whether the setup was balanced or not, I think it could have turned very differently had Town had just a bit more luck. With the number of variables, I guess it's just a wildly unpredictable setup, rather than an unbalanced one. And I'm not saying this because Scum won! Besides, the Trickster totally deserved the win too, I can't imagine what it means to be playing such a complicated role. Congratulations to Pandora, you really had us guessing up until the end!
  2. Color me tempted... but the way this is going the Forest God up there is probably preparing Hidden Compulsive Stump roles for everyone next round. Umm.. Isn't that the point of this game?
  3. Would I get a nice role tomorrow?
  4. Are you suggesting that you're not the Trickster? But yes I think Bus Driver is a crappy action to get on night One when there's hardly any clue about alignments. Being forced to used it can actually be detrimental, and indeed look at the trouble it got me into. On the other hand it somewhat cleared Gilford, although until I'm proven Town it could still be debated. I'm sure you would miss me, but don't fret, I'm not going to let you win this one so easily. Vote : Benicia Bear
  5. You know, we really are getting closer to that ultimate Mafia game where Hinck hosts and plays all the roles.
  6. Roger that. Be careful though.
  7. I bet you're dying to show us.
  8. Not before she answers some questions. Like why she always gives me stupid roles. I see what you did there.
  9. How? I don't even know who Scum is anymore. Except for Corrina gloating there. Wasn't she investigated by Holbrook?
  10. It's all gibberish. It's time for VOTING PATTERN ANALYSIS. Day 1 Mobley Mouse: 6 (Hyacinth Hippo, Corrina Cow, Benicia Bear, Caladon Crocodile, Bixby Bunny, Emeric Elephant) Hyacinth Hippo: 2 (Marlowe Monkey, Leatrix Lamb) Gilford Goat: 4 (Parvani Poodle, Franczeska Fox, Holbrook Horse, Shainen Sheepdog) Bartosz Bulldog: 1 (Gilford Goat) Rutherford Raccoon: 1 (Bartosz Bulldog) Non-voters: 2 (Mobley Mouse, Rutherford Raccoon) Day 2 Marlowe Monkey: 1 (Holbrook Horse) Franczeska Fox: 1 (Bartosz Bulldog) Hyacinth Hippo: 2 (Leatrix Lamb, Benicia Bear, Shainen Sheepdog) Rutherford Raccoon: 5 (Emeric Elephant, Hyacinth Hippo, Marlowe Monkey, Corrina Cow) Emeric Elephant: 1 (Rutherford Raccoon) Shainen Sheepdog: 1 (Gilford Goat) Leatrix Lamb: 1 (Bixby Bunny) *This vote appears to have been made after the end of the Day. Non-voters: 2 (Franczeska Fox, Parvani Poodle) Day 3 Franczeska Fox: 8 (penalty, penalty, penalty, Emeric Elephant, Hyacinth Hippo, Rutherford Raccoon, Marlowe Monkey, Bartosz Bulldog) Parvani Poodle: 3 (penalty, penalty, penalty) Hyacinth Hippo: 7 (Benicia Bear, Holbrook Horse, Leatrix Lamb, Corrina Cow, Franczeska Fox, Gilford Goat, Shainen Sheepdog) Emeric Elephant: 1 (Parvani Poodle) Non-voters: 0 Day 4 Marlowe Monkey: 7 (Gilford Goat, Benicia Bear, Corrina Cow, Leatrix Lamb, Emeric Elephant, Holbrook Horse, Parvani Poodle) Benicia Bear: 1 (Marlowe Monkey) Leatrix Lamb: 1 (Shainen Sheepdog) Non-voters: 0 The conclusion is obvious: if we don't vote for Scum, we're not going to lynch Scum. Oh and Franczeska was totally screwed by Town.
  11. Nothing. Ask your Trickster pal for details, did they give it out? And why, or why not?
  12. Such a big deal nobody thought anything of it until it became convenient to do so because you're running out of excuses to lynch more Townies? Yup, I got shite for night actions, I wasn't privy to the backstage conversations leading to the wrong people being night killed, the wrong people being lynched, and the wrong people being watched, investigated, bombed and pumpkined. And I'm the Scum orchestrating all this deceit? Open your eyes FFS. All this time and all these roles for nada, perhaps the answer lies in who has the information and what it is used for. Last night there was a Ghoul role, a Huntsman role, a Vig role, yet all the deaths were on Town's side. It's becoming clear to me that whoever the Trickster is, they're collaborating with Scum and giving them the choice roles so that they can presumably win together. So I'm looking at you who argue that we shouldn't concern ourselves with the Trickster, he's on our side and yada yada. I'm starting to understand how we got here today with our backs to the wall. Such an anti-Town comment. Maybe you should take the time, there's plenty of that left. You're probably the Trickster, and you're definitely screwing the game for us. Yep. We've been played all along, believing that the Trickster would for some vague reason would favour Town in their role distribution. Had they really, we wouldn't be here today. Yeah, won't anyone think of the poor children Scum?
  13. Assuming that you and Corrina who you just investigated are really Town, which is not in any way confirmed, then my take is the following: Gilford can't be Scum based on the Night 1 attempt to kill him, so he must be the Trickster. The only Scum left are Leatrix and Benicia. BUT my initial assumption can easily be false. Okay, so at the very least you didn't kill Shainen while you were commuting. Unless I was blocked and you didn't commute at all. Or you investigated Corrina and killed Shainen. It's all empty speculation. What bussing incident?
  14. Clearly, we're all being led to the slaughterhouse one by one like... lambs. The only good thing about it is that we're still playing. With 6 players, are there only two Scum left? Three Scum means we're tied for votes if the Trickster stands on our side... Is that workable? In case anyone is interested, I tried sending a Dwagon Bewwy Wub to Benicia last night, but was unsuccessful.
  15. WIFOM. Are you claiming this because you genuinely want to help us, or because one of your Scum mates has the role and you want us to believe otherwise? Argh. Only the Trickster would know. But then the Trickster would also know that the real Framer-Tailor must be Scum... I hope we do the right thing. Vote : Marlowe Monkey.
  16. Not really. Follow me. It makes me look Town only if everyone knows you're Town, but you could just as well be Scum and that would make me look Scum too. See, I'm pretty sure you're Town only because I know I'm Town, and that I know I switched you with Caladon and Caladon has been killed by Scum. From my Town perspective, you must be Town. But from anyone's else perspective, you should be an unknown quantity who happened to kill a Townie on night one. Until one of us is proven Town, that is. See above. I don't want him to look Town to make me look Town, because it's not the way it works. I think he's Town because I am Town and that Scum wouldn't have targeted him on Night 1. Given my night result there's no reason I should think otherwise. Ok he could also be the Trickster for that matter but at this point let's just talk about "not-Scum". Let's just agree to disagree then. I couldn't make a big case against it, because there wasn't one to be made. Don't pretend there could be a solid case against anyone on Day 1. I don't think anyone was lynched that day, right? It was my best guess on that day and night. I switched Gilford with Caladon because I thought Gilford was being scummy. I only switched gears after seeing the night results. Once I realized Gilford was probably Town, then I tried to figure out why Scum would want him dead. It's not rocket science and you're mixing random elements to try to fit your scenario but your story doesn't match what the day threads tell quite clearly. You think I didn't drive? Bus Driver was a compulsory action, I couldn't not use it. So I did my best to use it according to what little evidence -- okay, basically nothing at all but hunches -- I had at the time. Well who knows, perhaps even a broken scumdar may speak true once in a while. For reference: Which brings me to Marlowe. There may be something to the evidence brought forward today, but I find interesting that the lynch votes would pile up so smoothly... Is Marlowe truly Scum and Holbrook/Shainen are looking for a way to get him out of trouble? Is Marlowe Scum and his teammates are bussing him? Or is Marlowe Town/Trickster and Scum are just happy to help us lynching him? I'm not in any hurry to cast a vote.
  17. Well try paying attention then, how do you expect us to win this game if you're forgetting important details like this one! Silly bear. My take on the unknown role, given that Scum already had a kill and a blocker, would have been a more defensive action like Mirror or Protector. What made me consider the extra Scum role was the number of deaths last night and attempting to explain them, but I agree that giving Scum an extra kill action on top of their factional kill would be difficult to justify. Okay, then tell me why a Scum investigator would claim to be blocked by Scum instead of say, clearing one of their own? What were Scum trying to achieve? My list was in reply to Emeric's comment asking whether we were sure the bomb went off. My list started with the already mentioned explanations, then I ended up adding other possible explanations that occurred to me and I was surprised hadn't been considered at all. With the number of Vengeful roles available, and me thinking that Vengefuls would choose a player to kill upon their death, I was surprised no one even mentioned that. Apparently everyone knew that the role was different from the description in the Mafia book. Then there was that extra Scum role. I was being thorough. Two things here. First I didn't "jump straight", there was in-thread discussion happening in between those two posts and hours in real-life. It was explained to me that Vengefuls couldn't kill anyone. I certainly didn't write down every thought process that I went through but I eventually came to the conclusion that the most likely explanation for the deaths was the one that was generally agreed upon by the active posters. Secondly, in hindsight I realize that I assumed that Bartosz was the one bombed between the two because he said he was "warned twice" and I associated that with the two nights he must have been carrying the bomb. It's probably not something the Forest God intended, but the association became fact in my mind. Weird . Funny that you should think I'm protecting Gilford, when I was actually suspicious of him on Day 1 and that's what led me to target him with the switch action the following night. I can imagine a few reasons why Scum wanted him dead... unlikely to be protected? something he said led Scum to believe he has an important role? who knows. If I'm Scum, then you must be Scum too because what's the point of "clearing" you if you're actually Town and easily lynched as you seem to think? If I'm Town, then you're Town too unless the Scum had a way to find out who I would be Driving, which is improbable. You can't expect everyone to be around every time a new day is posted.
  18. You were lucky, Caladon not so much.
  19. I think you're correct, but unless Gilford lied about it, he was blocked on night 2. He couldn't have been going about planting a bomb in Bartosz's pail. Of course as far as I know he was also targeted by Scum on night 1.
  20. Ok thanks. I was going by the "rulebook" definition of Vengeful which involved killing a player. Her ass, sorry!
  21. There have been three deaths last night, and I'm thinking of ways they could add up. 1) scum kill 2) bomb from night 2 that wasn't defused 3) pumpkin shooting lasers out of his ass 4) vengeful if there was one or more among last night's victims 5) unaccounted-for action? We know Franczeska was lynched. What about the others?
  22. Aw yes sowwy, I forgot that bit. So one of the deaths last night was from the bomb Scum have planted the night before. Got it. So Gilford couldn't have been the Scum killer/anawchitz on night 2. One thing to keep in mind, Scum has an extra unknown role last night. Have we got any evidence of unexplained actions?
  23. Omrom, I don't know if you're allowed to tell but I'm asking anyway... Did the Scum also have a factionaw kiww on night 2?
  24. Okay this game sucks. Well not the game as such, sorry Forest God, your game is just the best . But we suck at playing it. How by Bartozs'z testicles can we lose four Townies in a single night? Anyway. I was Prince, you couldn't lynch me yesterday . Was it an attempt by the Trickster to prevent an easy bandwagon on me because I had penalty votes? Unfortunately, it would have served Franceszka better.
