Yes! I want all three. Putting them in Quidditch robes gets me three of the four uniforms, and I have the school uniforms for them to attend classes. Add in Zacharias Smith and we have all four. New faces or hair pieces would help a lot, but I planned to have the Quidditch figs in the Great Hall, corridors and classrooms. At school the students on teams often wore their uniforms the day of matches, pretending they did so at Hogwarts solves my issue with having everyone in identical shirts. I also interspersed some of the old Quidditch jumpers for more variety, even just for regular students.

Hmm. Right you are, I was more pleased when I got the first one. (Which is probably the reaction that should count.) Unfortunately I was also fairly annoyed when I got the second (and third...), because the name on the jersey meant it really couldn't be used for anything else. I guess I sort of averaged my reactions and took the mean value. As was, I actively looked for more Dracos. Looking at BL prices, Draco seems to go for a little more than Cedric, but both are on the cheap end of the spectrum. (Also: the green broom was/is useful for QQS MOCs, because only having one model to sell was sort of rubbish.)

@living_off_lego, I agree, I'd have tried for the Great Hall, but in its absence the Whomping Willow set is a CoS set with a lot of memorable scenes, and then you could still afford a second set like the PoA Knight Bus. WW is not an iconic build, though, but I'm not sure if that matters to you? Other than that, the Clock Tower will probably retire before the Astronomy Tower, and is GoF orientated (the next book in the series), whereas the AT is a HBP set. If you can get in on sale or at least take advantage of the double VIP points, they're could even be enough to pick up a smaller set as well. ETA: Just checked and Target still had GH available online And Walmart is showing it's in stock and free 2 day delivery

But we've already had the House Crests this year as art sets... That seems a bit much. I wonder how they're selling.

How sure are we it’s Dudley and not Neville? They both have pyjama scenes in the first book, and I thought there was some speculation it might be Longbottom from the scene where Hermione Petrificus Totaluses him as they leave the dorms.

I just checked, and there are easily a third as many again McGonagalls available as Snapes or Filtwicks, and she too commands a higher price than the robeless Snape. (He’s the cheapest of the lot.) Lupin is so much more popular than the other two, though, and there were far more DADA scenes than Divination. A DADA series as a whole would be nice, really. Hooch would have been one of my choices because the Moments set would permit a decent vertical build without many pieces. Hooch, Neville and the statue he gets caught on as minifigs. Hagrid and the Skrewts... Someone here had made a nice MOC of them iirc. And I still want a ghosts pack. (I can’t see that as a Moments set or an accessory pack, though, because who would buy multiples? Oh! But they could do a Moments set with ghosts as the Death Day party, maybe a little like @Micmac’s MOC. I’d love that to pieces.)

What’s interesting to me is Flitwick fetches a much better price than the (unspectacular) new Snape on BL, and is available in roughly similar quantities, so I’d have assumed the Charms set had a certain degree of popularity. I really hope we get new Moments sets.

Nope, you’re in excellent company. The prelims hit mid-February (the 17th), and I think we spent about 50 pages by and large doing little more than expressing our disappointment with the new style. That said, personally I also like the Polyjuice incident / 3rd Floor Lavatory set, and I agree, the minifig selection appears to be pretty good as a whole. (Plus basilisk, Fluffy, and probably a new Fawkes.) In retrospect, I’m glad for the prelims. It’s given me time to adjust to the idea of the new sets, and by the time we get good pictures of the interiors, I’m sure I’ll be impressed with many of the details included. I generally am with this series.

You actually prefer hp266 to hp100, say? (I still haven’t quite forgiven them for the lack of a cape. ) I thought Ron was in front of windows like some of the ones from DA? (So likely a. Hogsmeade store, as expected.) Hermione is on stairs with what appears to be a window in the castle’s walls (and a night sky) behind her.

Ooo! Right you are! The blue flame in 4706 the original Forbidden Corridor set... I’d forgotten that and the flute. Yes, the stone in the niche in the Potions Moments set sort of reminded me of those hidden titbits. I liked the call back.

I plan on using them in the eventual MoM set as the new fountain Harry objects to most vociferously. Hush! Don’t you dare go getting my hopes up like that.

Thanks It’s weird they’d include Voldemort instead of Draco, though. Voldemort wasn’t in the original wave (apart from on the back of Quirrell’s head). I expect to see Draco and Dumbles, but not Hagrid (4 new moulds) or Peeves (because they deleted him from the films, and the original fig looks nothing like the concept art for the character).

The first, yes, thank you. Basically I was wondering if there were some sort of formula driving design choices: Harry might cost more in licensing fees, but bring more in profits, say... I would assume no one is purchasing DA for the photographer, but the twins, Lockhart and Lucius, on the other hand, might factor into the purchasing decision process. CMF, I gather, are more expensive than the figs in sets anyway due to new moulds, or prints or accessories. (And what’s the result called when they use the two colour extrusion process for the moulds? Was that dual-moulded?)

You had me at “frogs”... I really hope we get those variants in a set, but (so magnanimously) I’ll settle for CMFs if need be. I’d also like to see a Wizengamot, with some random witches & wizards which would help populate DA or Hogsmeade eventually. Does anyone know if random background minifigs (like the DP photographer) are cheaper to produce in a licensed series? D2C... So I’ve seen a couple of folks suggesting a massive Quidditch pitch, either the world cup’s or the school’s. Practically speaking, do you really think there’s that much call for it? I’d like to see either a DA extension (Gringotts or otherwise; I’m confident a Gringotts will happen eventually) or a series of MoM vignettes as @Micmac suggested. I don’t think Grimmauld can be done properly for the Privet Drive price point (you’d need the kitchen, library, foyer/stairs, probably two bedrooms, and maybe an attic to stash Sirius in?), but I also don’t think it would merit $250 out of people’s budgets either. Probably more expensive than the Burrow, but not by too much? On the other hand, there was one on the lego site for Christmas with plenty of details that was just lovely. If they upped the spec more in that direction (as opposed to the Burrow’s small footprint), then perhaps? Speaking of, refresh my memory, didn’t one of you do a GP MOC with the mounted elf heads? Or was that just a suggestion? Which versions of the trio... I’m with @chris6507, I’d like Hermione in the red dress. I’d also like all three in their Forest of Dean, camping trip of doom and gloom outfits. And now I really want the sticker with the family tree tapestry on it.

Every chess set released has had 4x4 squares except for 852293 Castle Giant Chess Set which had 6x6 (and went for $200 13 years ago in an unlicensed product line). If it’s a playable set instead of just the task, I can’t see them making the fields smaller than 4x4.

(Btw, you had done a render of your plans for displaying the GH, viaduct and viaduct entrance at one point. As far as “only seen in one scene” goes, two words: “Durmstrang ship”. I don’t think it’s been confirmed, but if you compare it to the last pack, it came out after we had three of the four torsos, three of the four faces (and the fourth was immediately reused in the AC), and all the hair pieces. There wasn’t much new stuff in the pack (and only the one unique piece), it was basically to expand your legions of background students. Fast forward to the present... We’re seeing a new Hooch this wave, so Quidditch is once again a hot topic. The Quidditch robe torsos have now been made for all four houses, two of which are expensive to come by (although Cedric Diggory in Quidditch kit will be out in book form this year), but that still leaves us shy a Ravenclaw uniform. (Roger Davies please! *) The Moments set jumpers aren’t hugely popular, and while I don’t think our reactions are going to change what’s released this summer, I do think they anticipate reception and plan accordingly. I just can’t see us getting four of them. (How many multiples would any of us buy of a set like that?) Other than that, we haven’t got four different generic Death Eaters yet for the BoH, nor would it make sense in a wave without DH sets... School robes would be amazing, but here again, we haven’t even seen robes for two of the Houses at any price point, so I think it makes it less likely... So: not confirmed, but logical and fairly probable. (Which naturally means I’m wrong.) * @deskp iirc you had made a collector’s card of Roger Davies in Ravenclaw Quidditch robes. Was there a leak of that fig, or was that a MOC?
