If after all this, the Temple of Doom turns out to exist, this would be the most hilarious rollercoaster ride I’ve ever been on It also says a June release for all the sets… 😬

If they’re gonna be like this with prices, I can’t say I’m bothered about the Temple of Doom being cancelled, because I wouldn’t be buying it anyway! 😂 I know Lego makes some bizarre decisions, but surely even they must see making one of the other sets insanely overpriced is a bad financial decision compared to eating the cost themselves? Collectors ain’t gonna collect if the first wave of sets is already overpriced… at least with Harry Potter’s gradually increasing prices, they’ve already got us hooked!

Why are you saying this as if they’ve been officially announced yet? They’ve just been leaked. Of course there hasn’t been a big press release yet, in the eyes of the public these sets don’t exist yet. The lack of fanfare for a theme that has not yet been announced is not a surprise, nor does it indicate a lack of fanfare in the future. It’s obviously sarcastic… In what shops have you seen them on shelves?? They’ve not been announced yet let alone released. Some employee has accidentally put the product out early hence the leak, but that’s it - obviously shops get the sets prior to the release of them.

Back of box images are out now! There is a gear on the side of the boulder which runs along a gear rack. I assume it runs using the twistable knob at the bottom. That’s already confirmed (and was surely obvious anyway). ——— Well, looks like the Temple of Doom (movie not the Lego set) wasn’t too racist to put in the instructions of the Lost Temple set…

The Temple Escape looks fantastic! It looks a much better scale than in that weirdly diagonally spliced image we had, particularly in the boulder section. The idol room is also amazing, and I love all the trees adding to the jungle aesthetic. Also, call me a nerd, but I’m liking that they have the original Raiders logo. The Lost Tomb is also growing on me now that we’ve seen there’s stuff going on round the back as well and that it isn’t literally just a wall. The ark looks like a massive downgrade from 2010 though, which surprises me. ——— Is it me or are the minifigs particularly dynamic on these box arts? Usually they’re sort of doing generic poses on Lego boxes. And really easy to spot and centre frame in the foreground. But here, they’re all doing something, and often not obvious or in the foreground. For example, Indy swinging in on the Lost Tomb, Sallah dragging the ark away, Indy grabbing the idol in Temple of the Golden Idol, etc. It seems they’ve really focused on action-packed shots.

In fact, BrickClicker has said very little in this thread, and most of what he’s “said” has been via other people which could easily be misrepresented. I’m also not sure the person you’re replying to meant anything for definite either way when they said “delayed”. Sounds like you’re hearing what you want to hear. BrickClicker’s credibility is intact.

Is it really? These leaks have been quite major. Also, confirmation bias - no one remembers leaks that didn’t happen because they didn’t exist.

I’d much rather them make new stuff than our fourth Great Hall iteration. Then again, I wouldn’t buy it, so it would save me money @Yope a bit, perhaps, yes. Maybe not exploited because they are not forcing us to buy sets! Especially rereleases - if the old version was good enough then, then it’s good enough now. Hence why I’ve bought the new Hungarian Horntail but won’t bother with the new Hogwarts Express. However I do get that that’s frustrating - I bought the Chamber of Secrets despite already having the Great Hall because of the chamber, but if they then come out with a better CoS it will be a bit frustrating. However, I’m getting a bit fatigued with this theme. The sets are getting more expensive and the quality is becoming a bit more hit and miss. For example, the Sirius’ Rescue I’m not sure I’ll buy because tbh it’s not a very interesting set. I sense this year will be the last year I commit to it, because I’m struggling to think of many more scenes that are essential they create! Troll’s bathroom and Chamber of the Winged Keys are the essentials for me.

Well these leaks certainly seem divisive! I am sad to say I’m falling on the side of… meh. I feel like there’s something off with them. Fighter Plane Attack looks decent Tbf. I have little to say bad about it. The Lost Tomb, feels like it’s got more accurate builds, but is so… empty? There’s a lot of empty floor space. I agree with @Retro Brick Reviews that it needs to be smaller to be a bit denser. That would also mean some of the piece count could go towards another wall, or two half walls - it is a TOMB, after all. Temple of Doom, I really don’t know how to feel about the Kali statue! It’s nothing like the movies! However I like the other movie-accurate details. The set also feels more cohesive than the other one, such as the bridge leading to the mine cart. In the original there was the trap door but that didn’t make sense because that’s the pit of lava! Again I agree with @Retro Brick Reviews that cutting the mine carts would’ve made it better. I mean, they’re not even that close together scenes in the movies - there’s the whole rock crusher and freeing the slaves scenes before the mine carts! It limits the number of Temple of Doom sets they can create, and I think two smaller sets would’ve worked better.

Well Indiana Jones is well known for being extremely realistic, after all. What with ghosts melting Nazis, people briefly surviving having their heart ripped out, and a cup that causes you to age rapidly. I don’t doubt that in the 5th film, will get a similar reception.

@Roebuck @BrickBob Studpants I agree for a different reason about Expecto Patronum not being a normal set or a remake - the age range is 14+, which is too high for normal sets but too low for dioramas.

I'm interested in making some MOCs using Studio, and maybe uploading a showcase of the MOC to YouTube and also providing some instructions (made using Studio). Of course I'd also post the MOCs here! I have some queries and didn't know if anyone could help: Where do people usually share MOC instructions? Is there a specific website for it? Are there any laws about posting instructions based on IPs like Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, etc? I don't plan on selling the instructions. Since I'm unlikely to sell them, is there any disclaimer people would recommend stating to prevent other people stealing and selling them? (Heard a few horror stories.) Thank you so much

Ouch at the UK price for Chamber of Secrets... Even bigger ouch at Wizards Chess!!!

Thinking about it, something I wish they’d done Is taken the same modular approach of the Girls Bathroom with the Room of Requirememt last year. So it could have had more of a floor, and then something with a roof from another set to stack on top of it.

Does anyone know how how I can find the preliminary images? I’d quite like to go back and compare. Edit: found a video, no worries
