Still nothing, it seems :(

Hopefully...

I agree. When I brought up Filch, it was just in reference to potential figures that Lego could make in the new CMF series, given that Lego has exhausted a lot of the characters in its arsenal. I personally own a Filch figure as well and don't need another one. I'd much rather get some more people from the Ministry of Magic/more profs we're missing etc.
-
I would have agreed with you but for the fact that they did basically release prison Joker both as a CMF and as a figure in a set. Correct me if I'm wrong, seeing as I never owned either figure, but I think they were exactly the same. Obviously, this is the only example I can think of but given that Filch is a popular character, it's possible they could do it. I still think of him with chocolates/puss-face would be most likely, if they ever decided to revisit it.

Pardon my sarcasm, but at that point, if Lego is really that desperate for ideas, they might as well just release buildable action figures like in Superheroes and Star Wars.
-
Both very possible ideas. I definitely see a Mrs. Norris coming out at some point, probably with another Extension. She could be petrified with Filch having an angry face and a face looking in horror. We could also get a Ginny figure that way and maybe some other students. We really need a Ginny figure.
-
I also find it weird that we got a Filch, but no Mrs. Norris! It would have been really easy too as all Lego had to do was include a cat element in the Wamping Willow set from 2018. Perhaps that's CMF fodder with an updated Filch figure.

Also a dress using the new skirt mold! I really hate those old blocky components that sai tok your minifigure every time you accidentally hit them. I was so happy when HP started using the new ones.

Exactly. That's what I was kvetching about earlier. -

Perhaps you're right but I still feel like we would have known something by now. Time will tell, I guess. -
To be fair, we also thought that bikes would be too big until the most recent CMF set came out. But if a centaur was to come out, it'd probably be in a set. I bet it would be really expensive to produce, though I guess all Lego would have to do is design a part that connects with a mini-figures torso and the horse body they already have out. Everything else would be done as well (fauns headpiece for head and horse body for actual body).

That's too bad we're not getting a proper wave in December, even if we're getting the CMFs. I really enjoyed some of the previous year sets. -

By the way, is there any word on what next years sets are other than the Batmobile and the CMFs? I'm really curious what we might get. -
We'll just have to wait and see.

I was just thinking the same. I'm really hoping somehow those sets get released. If the rumors were true, it'd be a shame for Lego to have prepared those sets only to not release them, even if that makes complete sense from a business point of view if the theme was underperforming.
