  1. This is getting off track. Remember, this thread is for set discussion, not wishes and dreams... Thanks!
  2. I think we can use this thread for the time being.
  3. At this time we know nothing, really. --- Everyone remember at this time, that other than the rumor of more "Harry Potter Universe" Lego coming in 2018, whatever that actually entails, we know nothing. Until such time we know more, everything here should be taken with a grain of salt. Normally I'd close a thread such as this, but considering the high public interest--it'll remain open. Just remember everything here is speculation at this point. Thanks!
  4. I have removed the image. Although it was not marked as such, that is a confidential image. Please do not further post that image here on Eurobricks.
  5. I don't feel it's super necessary at the moment, at least until we get some more tangible info or images. We don't need a new thread to discuss just three Mighty Micros sets--it would just devolve into speculation about sets further down the line. --- Incidentally, and somewhat related, everyone here knows it is against site guidelines to post 'confidential' watermarked images here on Eurobricks. So I don't expect to see anyone posting any confidential preliminary images of say Superhero (or other) sets in the forums--because of course that would not end well for the poster. Remember this is a 'tell' not a 'show' instance. Thanks!
  6. Everyone please stop listing wishes. Listing characters you want for the upcoming CMF wave, without any confirmation that said characters will actually be included, only causes confusion down the line when others start to assume wishes posted here are facts. They're not. Thank you!
  7. Yes unnecessary and foolish. Thanks everyone for using the report button. If similar issues occur again, continue to use the report button--it alerts all Mods and is the fastest way to hunt trolls. Thanks!
  8. Yes Krypto is an entirely new mold. Krypto does not use a recolored version of Scooby--they are in fact very different both in overall shape and pose.
  9. In the original Spider-Man sets yes, but they were rougher looking around the edges. Cheetah and Reverse Flash appear to be Light Bright Orange (RF especially so). I'm unsure about Firestorm, but he looks standard yellow.
  10. For transparency I'll note this: The member was banned for posting a leaked Lego set image on this site with a very large and unmistakable watermark stamped "confidential" in the center. Whatever the previous circumstances may have been, that is an immediate ban-able offence, one that is stated very clearly in our site guidelines and often repeated by mods in various forums. Point blank we cannot have blatant confidential images being hosted (or attributed to) our site; it causes trouble, specifically that of unnamed Danish plastic toy businesses who may or may not contact us directly about issues of this nature. So as always, as a reminder, please do not post confidential images on Eurobricks. Hopefully that gives some insight into this one instance.
  11. Note: I've created a new thread for 2018 set discussion. You may continue on discussing the new sets here or in the new thread, just know that any set information will only be listed in the new thread. Thanks!
  12. Here follows are the current confirmed upcoming Lego DC Superheroes themed sets, for early 2018: January Wave: #76096: Superman Krypto Team-Up - $19.99 Pieces: ?? #76097: Lex Luthor Mech Takedown - $39.99 Pieces: ?? #76098: Speed Force Freeze Pursuit - $29.99 Pieces: ??
  13. Guys please do not ask sources question after question. If they have information they want to share, they'll do so. Until then, be satisfied with what we do have. Thanks.
  14. Hi frodoguy, welcome to Eurobricks, That Frodo minifigure is fairly common and not particularity collectible, as it appears to be the same version of figure that was released widely through a rather low priced Lord of the Rings Lego set in 2012, 9469-1: Gandalf Arrives, as well as an even cheaper promotional polybag set. And as the letter from New Line Cinema is not actually signed by Elijah Woods (which is where the real value would come from), I unfortunately don't see this bringing in any big bucks. I would suggest just keeping it around though--Lego makes great shelf display!
  15. Everyone: This is not a movie discussion thread. As the latest Spider-Man film is coming to theaters, please be respectful of the many other members who have yet to see the film by taking your discussions about it over to Culture & Multimedia. This thread is for Lego set discussion only, not film talk. Please keep all spoilers here to a minimum (if at all) and absolutely do not just post comments with just an unassuming spoiler tag that poorly hides bombshell info inside. I don't want to see spoiler tag conversations going on here either. This is supposed to be a spoiler-free space, so let's try to keep it that way. Thanks!
  16. The Shadow Tower If I had unlimited funds and unlimited storage space, I would undoubtedly buy every and all Elves sets I could get my hands on. It's such a beautiful theme, both in color and design style, and I very much wish that in between all my regular Superhero programming I could fit in some time for Lego Elves. That said, I have picked up a few Elves sets over the years, but the most notable one is the absolutely gorgeous 41180 Ragana's Magic Shadow Castle. The set used spectacular color selection (especially with the shades of lavender) and had this evil looming presence. Plus it had the awesome Ragana minidoll--and as a huge sucker for Lego Wizards/Witches/Sorcerers/etc. I just had to get a hold of her. An all around great set...if unfortunately a bit too small for my taste. So for Brickworld Chicago 2017, I made it my fun task build my own version of Ragana's castle, using the official set as inspiration to build a much much larger tower for public display. Here are the results! When I started the build, there were a number of key features I wanted to include and carry over from the set itself. The lavender rocks were a must, and one of the main reasons I was drawn to the set in the first place. Likewise, I love how evil villains use corporate branding, so I filled the build with the banners of Ragana. Windows were important too, but while the official set only had one main decorated window I incorporated many more than that...which meant I had to Bricklink a huge number of the set's sticker sheets, as there were only one window sticker per sheet. So if anyone is in the market for some forty slightly used sticker sheets... To expand the character roster, I gave Ragana a number of cloven footed cyclopean guards, and for the defense of the castle (aside from Ragana's powers), I littered the place with swords, spears, and axes. The tower, like the set, also acts as a prison. There's a large hanging cage for special guests (like Elves), as well as a dungeon and torture workshop down below. Clearly Cyclopes do not like taking pictures... And of course I even included Jynx...although it looks like she's been put in timeout for some reason. Now the other part of this build is that, like the set, I included an interior. For the record thought, the idea to include a giant staircase was in no way shaped by how dirt cheap magenta steps are on Bricklink...in no way... Any who, the tower has six levels, with one long--continuous--circular magenta stair case, allowing direct access between four of the levels, and imaginary access between two levels. Looking at each level shows a different aspect of the tower. The lowest level, which is "below" the tower inside the rocky supports, is that of the dungeon and torture shop. Here, Ragana sends unlucky (or very lucky) minifigures from rival kingdoms to be tortured and jailed by Lashina--who I borrowed from the DC Girls line, because this is clearly why Lego made her. The next level is the "ground" level and features the drawbridge entrance and the start of the staircase. It is (normally) guarded by a large blue Cyclops, and it has some interesting features such as a chandelier and an area where one can look through the jail-bar floor into the prisoner cell below. The third level is rather militaristic as it features the interior armory and exterior barricades for defense. There's also a murder-hole which is positioned just in front of the main gates (just behind dragon head gargoyle). This level also features a viewing balcony, where Ragana or her guards can stand watch over prisoners in the cage. The fourth level is a storehouse for Ragana's magical items such as potions and a telephone to call her friend Sauron so they can gossip about wizard things. This level features another balcony, one allowing access to the prisoner cage. The fifth and final interior level is that of Ragana's personal chambers. I wanted to include more set styled things here, such as Ragana's bed, but unfortunately space started to become an issue (also timing, I didn't finish this until the day before the convention!) So instead, I added a captured dragon egg to top off the staircase, a mirror, more weapons, more balconies, and a portrait of Ragana. Also gold, precious Lego chrome gold. The sixth and final level is that of the roof...which I'll be honest about was tough to pin down. I wasn't sure how I wanted the tower to end, as the official set somewhat unceremoniously just cuts off. So, I decided to add a large fire-pit for a cauldron that Ragana would use to create evil potions. So all in all, the Shadow Tower was a fun build to construct--being both an expansion of a set I love as well as being way outside the realm of my normal builds (this isn't a brick figure!). Additionally of note, the Shadow Tower was nominated for Best Small Building at Brickworld Chicago 2017, which was a big surprise to me as that's always a loaded category--what with all the amazing buildings that show up for display each year. While it didn't win, I'm still very much happy with the building itself, and I'm now hoping to keep it alive for one year so I can display it again with a new companion building I want to construct, my version of 41188: Breakout from the Goblin King's Fortress. So...see you next year!
  17. Everyone, last I checked this is not a wishlist thread. Do not list names of characters you want. Do not list names of sets you wish would happen. Do not spend pages speculating on which building is for sure going to be the D2C set. All of that is baseless speculation. Every time that occurs, this thread goes off the rails. As far as I can tell, this "JLA Party Set" is nothing but one member's wish that's turned into a discussion about which costume variant Lego will use for each character. The answer is none. That is not an upcoming set. Focus on the sets we have, will have, and are confirmed to be receiving. If you wish to discuss wishes and speculation, take it to the appropriate place. I don't like to micromanage discussions, I only want discussions to take place in the appropriate threads. Thanks.
  18. This situation is over. Continue discussing the sets and nothing else. And remember we have a zero tolerance policy on posting fake leaks and verbally attacking members and staff. Play nice. Thanks.
  19. Whoops! I get these threads mixed up all the time, considering the fast and loose use of speculation by everyone... Continue on and play nice everyone.
  20. And...let's get back on topic please. This is not the thread to judge the validity of leaks. Set talk please. Thanks!
  21. Any potential Jurassic World 2 sets would require the creation of their own new thread... ...when the time is right. At this point we're still over a year away from the film release, and I don't take simple "confirmed!" statements to mean we need a new thread any time soon. So let's meet back in November maybe?
  22. It's too early for this. Additionally we ask that only staff create "year" threads so we retain complete editing power over the first page posting. Please do not create year threads. For now, keep the discussion in the other DC threads.
  23. I want to be very clear here, so be forewarned: Under no circumstances should any member on Eurobricks post links to leaked images on the forums. If you post leaked images here, or if you post links to leaked images here, you will be banned. We have a zero tolerance policy on members using Eurobricks as a means to publicly pass around illegally obtained images. You may discuss the images if you wish, but under no circumstances are you allowed to host or post them here. Thanks.
  24. We're not doing this again. We are not debating the popularity or lack there of, in yet another unrelated thread, of Doctor Who. Please do not continue to debate this across Eurobricks. This is a Brickheadz wish thread. You wished for Doctor Who, and that's the fullest extent of that conversation allowed here. Thanks.
  25. Everyone: Last I checked, this was a Marvel 2017 set discussion thread. Talk about the sets--not the trailers, not the speculation, not the off topic conversation. Set talk only please. Thank you.
